Built around Spektrum's frequency-agile DSMR architecture, this receiver delivers superb range and response, making it an ideal choice for RC car UK users operating in crowded 2.4GHz environments where multiple systems may be in use simultaneously. Whether you're piloting a ready to run RC car or a competition-spec racing machine, the SR6100AT brings advanced features to any RC vehicle in your collection.

What sets the SR6100AT apart from standard receivers is its integration of patented Spektrum AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology combined with full-range telemetry capabilities. This six-channel receiver is specifically engineered for surface models that require additional channels beyond basic steering and throttle—perfect for controlling lights, shift servos, and other accessory systems. With its water-resistant construction and intelligent auto-calibration system, the SR6100AT represents a significant step forward in RC receiver technology for drivers who want technology working behind the scenes to enhance their driving experience.

The receiver is fully compatible with all DSMR transmitters and works seamlessly with any RC car, truck or buggy in your garage. Its compact design, weighing just 10 grams with a length of 42.4mm, ensures it fits neatly into tight receiver boxes without compromising performance. For RC enthusiasts seeking professional-level telemetry feedback and active stability control, the Spektrum SR6100AT delivers both in a remarkably compact package.

Key Features

  • 6-Channel DSMR Receiver with Full Telemetry — This receiver provides six independent channels of control, allowing you to command steering, throttle, and four additional functions simultaneously. Full-range telemetry capabilities give you real-time feedback about your vehicle's performance, battery voltage, and system diagnostics sent wirelessly from the receiver back to your compatible DSMR transmitter.
  • Patented AVC (Active Vehicle Control) Technology — The integrated 3-axis gyro system reads your control inputs and senses your vehicle's direction, making as many as 180 steering and power adjustments per second to maintain stability and control. This means you can hold the line without holding back on the throttle, delivering a more enjoyable and manageable driving experience in all conditions.
  • Automatic AVC Calibration System — Gone are the days of manual endpoint calibration. With the latest AVC Auto Calibration technology, all settings are communicated directly from your transmitter to the receiver. Simply power on, place your vehicle flat on its wheels, wait a few seconds, and you're ready to drive—no complex setup procedures required (requires transmitter firmware 2.03 and receiver firmware 2.40.11 or higher).
  • Smart Throttle Integration — The dedicated throttle port automatically detects when a Spektrum Smart throttle electronic speed control is plugged in, instantly switching to Smart throttle mode. This intelligent system also works with Spektrum Smart LiPo batteries featuring IC series connectors, allowing battery data to be passed directly to compatible Spektrum Smart batteries for enhanced monitoring.
  • Dual Integrated Telemetry Ports — Two dedicated telemetry ports provide flexibility for connecting telemetry-capable servos and sensors, giving you comprehensive real-time data about your vehicle's operation and performance during driving sessions.
  • Water-Resistant Realkote Coating — The protective water-resistant coating shields all electronics from moisture and splash, making this receiver suitable for wet conditions and muddy tracks where traditional receivers might struggle. The robust construction ensures longevity even in challenging driving environments.
  • Frequency-Agile DSMR Technology — Operating on the 2.4GHz band with DSMR modulation, this receiver automatically finds and locks onto clear frequencies, making it ideal for use at crowded race tracks or busy driving areas where RF interference might be a concern.
  • Steering Priority Control — The receiver prioritises your steering inputs, ensuring that you always maintain driver control of vehicle direction. This safety-focused design puts you firmly in command of your RC car at all times.
  • Fully Programmable Settings — Adjust the precise amount of stability and vehicle control you want through the receiver's programmable parameters, or disable AVC entirely if you prefer pure manual control.
  • Voltage Sensor Included — The included voltage sensor monitors your battery's state of charge, providing real-time telemetry data about your LiPo or battery pack voltage during operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is AVC and will it really improve my RC car's handling? — AVC (Active Vehicle Control) is Spektrum's patented stability system that uses a 3-axis gyro to monitor your vehicle's attitude and make steering and power corrections up to 180 times per second. Rather than fighting your car's natural instability, AVC works seamlessly in the background, allowing you to maintain control without constantly wrestling with oversteer or understeer. You can adjust how much stability assistance you want, from fully engaged to completely disabled, depending on your driving style and track conditions.
  • Do I need to calibrate the SR6100AT manually before use? — No. With the AVC Auto Calibration system, the receiver automatically learns its steering and throttle endpoints from your transmitter during startup. Simply place your vehicle flat on its wheels, power it on, wait a few seconds, and it's ready to drive. This requires transmitter firmware version 2.03 or higher and receiver firmware 2.40.11 or higher.
  • What voltage battery does the SR6100AT accept? — The receiver accepts input voltages from 3.5V to 9.6V, which covers most RC car battery configurations including 1S LiPo (3.7V), 2S LiPo (7.4V), 3S LiPo (11.1V nominal but discharged to safe levels within the range), 1S LiFe, 2S LiFe, and various NiMH pack sizes. Always check your specific battery's voltage rating to ensure compatibility.
  • Is the SR6100AT suitable for beginners to RC cars? — Absolutely. Whilst the SR6100AT offers advanced features like AVC and telemetry, its automatic calibration and ease of setup make it very beginner-friendly. The AVC stability system actually helps newer drivers by reducing the learning curve—your car becomes more predictable and easier to control. The only requirement is a DSMR-compatible transmitter, which are available across a wide range of price points.
  • What's the difference between the SR6100AT and other Spektrum surface receivers? — The SR6100AT is specifically designed as a 6-channel receiver with full AVC and telemetry capabilities, making it ideal for vehicles requiring additional channels for lights, shift servos, or other accessories. It represents Spektrum's premium surface receiver option with integrated 3-axis gyro stabilisation. Other models in the lineup may offer fewer channels or different feature sets tailored to specific vehicle types.
  • Can I use the SR6100AT in wet or muddy conditions? — Yes. The receiver features water-resistant Realkote protective coating that shields the electronics from moisture and splash. This makes it suitable for use at wet tracks or in muddy conditions where traditional receivers without water resistance might be at risk. However, avoid full submersion and always rinse thoroughly after exposure to saltwater or corrosive environments.
  • What telemetry data can I monitor with the SR6100AT? — The receiver supports full-range telemetry capabilities including voltage sensor data from the included voltage sensor, and when paired with Spektrum Firma Smart ESCs and Spektrum Smart LiPo batteries, you can monitor additional parameters like ESC temperature and battery pack data. This information is displayed on your compatible DSMR transmitter screen during operation.
  • Is this compatible with all DSMR transmitters? — Yes, the SR6100AT is fully compatible with all DSMR transmitters from Spektrum, including systems like the DX3 Smart, SLT6, and other DSMR-equipped transmitters. The receiver binds via bind button to your chosen transmitter quickly and securely.
