Full-range performance means you can fly at distances that older receivers simply couldn't handle reliably, giving you confidence that your signal won't drop out during any normal flying scenario.
- Integrated Fly-By Range Telemetry — Built into the receiver is automatic telemetry capability that works seamlessly with any telemetry-capable Spektrum transmitter. You receive real-time flight log data including fade notifications, frame loss information, and hold events, plus critical receiver battery voltage monitoring so you always know your power system's health without any additional setup or modules required.
- Large Bind Button Eliminates Bind Plugs — The traditional bind plug has been replaced with a large, conveniently located button on top of the receiver. This modern approach simplifies the binding process dramatically, offering two bind-sequence options that allow you to bind whilst powering up or after the receiver is already connected—whichever method suits your preference.
- Smart Technology Ready — The AR410 comes pre-configured and ready to support Spektrum's innovative Smart technology ecosystem, including telemetry from Spektrum Smart batteries and ESCs. This integrated approach ensures all your vehicle electronics communicate intelligently, boosting efficiency, responsiveness, and your overall confidence in the system's capabilities.
- Compact, Lightweight Park Flyer Design — At just 7 grams and with dimensions of 1.78 inches (45.2mm) length, 0.79 inches (20.0mm) width, and 0.55 inches (13.9mm) height, the AR410 is specifically engineered for lightweight aircraft and park flyers where every gram matters. The streamlined end-pin design fits within a protective lightweight hard-case, making installation straightforward in models with limited space.
- Dual Frame Rate Capability — The receiver is capable of operating at both low-latency 11ms frame rate for performance-critical flying and standard 22ms frame rate for general sport flying, giving you the flexibility to optimise responsiveness based on your specific application and flying style.
- Failsafe Protection — The integrated failsafe system provides peace-of-mind protection by ensuring the receiver responds safely if signal is lost, preventing unexpected behaviour that could damage your aircraft or pose safety risks during flight.
- High Resolution 2048-Point Control — The receiver processes control inputs at 2048-point resolution, delivering smooth, precise servo movement without the stepped response you might experience with lower-resolution systems. This level of precision is particularly valuable for aerobatic flying or models requiring delicate control inputs.
Technical Performance
The AR410 is engineered to deliver professional-grade radio system performance in a package so compact and lightweight it seems almost improbable. Operating across the 2.4GHz band—the modern standard for RC aircraft in the UK and worldwide—the receiver maintains full-range capability whilst the internal antenna eliminates the external components that previously compromised aerodynamics and durability. The DSMX modulation technology provides superior resistance to interference and signal dropouts compared to older 72MHz systems, making it exceptionally reliable in environments with multiple aircraft flying simultaneously or near sources of radio frequency interference. With an operating voltage range of 3.5-9V, the AR410 accommodates various battery configurations from lightweight 2S LiPo packs (7.4V nominal) through to traditional 8-cell NiMH batteries (9.6V nominal), offering flexibility in power system selection depending on your aircraft's electrical requirements. The 2048-point resolution servo control ensures that servos respond with high fidelity to your transmitter inputs, delivering the precision necessary for smooth, controlled flight whether you're performing aerobatic manoeuvres or flying gentle sport patterns. The receiver's hard-case enclosure protects the electronics whilst keeping weight to an absolute minimum—a critical consideration for park flyer and indoor RC aircraft where every gram affects flight performance. The integrated flight log telemetry continuously monitors signal quality and receiver voltage, automatically reporting any fades, frame losses, or holds to your transmitter's display, providing real-time feedback about your radio system's health without requiring any external telemetry modules or configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Spektrum AR410 suitable for beginners and first-time RC aircraft pilots? — Yes, absolutely. The AR410 is designed specifically as a entry-level sport receiver that doesn't compromise on features or performance. The large bind button makes the binding process straightforward, there's no external antenna to worry about damaging, and the integrated telemetry automatically provides confidence-boosting information about your receiver's health. If you're new to RC aircraft, the AR410 removes technical barriers and lets you focus on flying rather than troubleshooting. Its full-range capability means you can fly confidently at any reasonable distance, and the foolproof bind button process—with two sequence options—means even first-time setup is quick and painless.
- What transmitter do I need to use the AR410 receiver? — The AR410 is compatible with any Spektrum transmitter that supports DSMX or DSM2 protocols. This includes modern Spektrum DX-series transmitters and legacy DSM2 transmitters. The receiver will automatically bind to whichever compatible Spektrum transmitter you pair it with using the large bind button. If you don't already own a Spektrum transmitter, you'll need to purchase one separately; the AR410 works only with Spektrum brand radios and is not compatible with other brands' transmitters.
- What battery voltage does the AR410 receiver need? — The AR410 accepts input voltages between 3.5V and 9V, which means it's compatible with 2S LiPo batteries (nominal 7.4V), 3S LiPo batteries (nominal 11.1V—but using a voltage regulator), standard 8-cell NiMH receiver packs (nominal 9.6V), and various other battery configurations. Most modern RC aircraft use dedicated 2S LiPo receiver batteries for lightweight operation, though some larger models may use onboard voltage regulators to power the receiver from the main flight battery. Always check your aircraft manufacturer's recommendations for proper battery selection to ensure safe operation and prevent over-voltage damage to the receiver.
- How does the antenna-less design compare to traditional external antenna receivers? — Traditional receivers required a long external antenna (typically 30-40cm) that protruded from the fuselage, creating installation challenges, aerodynamic drag, and durability issues if damaged during landing or crashes. The AR410's internal antenna eliminates these problems whilst maintaining full-range performance through sophisticated antenna design and DSMX technology. The antenna-less approach makes installation cleaner and easier, improves aircraft reliability by removing a fragile protruding component, and simplifies repairs since there's nothing external to damage. You get the same full-range performance with far greater convenience—a significant advancement in receiver technology.
- Can I use the AR410 with both electric-powered and engine-powered aircraft? — Yes, the AR410 is designed for use in both electric and engine-powered models. The 3.5-9V input voltage range accommodates most receiver battery configurations suitable for either aircraft type. The receiver's compact size and lightweight construction make it ideal for park flyers and electric-powered models, whilst its full-range capability and reliable performance also make it excellent for larger engine-powered sport aircraft where reliable long-distance control is essential.
- Does the AR410 require any programming or configuration? — No, the AR410 comes ready to use straight from the box. There's no programming required, no configuration to set up, and no software to install. Simply bind it to your Spektrum transmitter using the large bind button, connect your servos, and you're ready to fly. The telemetry activates automatically when paired with a telemetry-capable transmitter—there's nothing additional to do to access receiver voltage and flight log data.
- What makes the AR410 different from other budget sport receivers? — The AR410 stands out because Spektrum integrated premium features typically found in higher-priced receivers into this compact, affordable package. Key differentiators include the antenna-less design (rare at this price point), the built-in fly-by range telemetry with flight log (most budget receivers omit telemetry entirely), Smart technology compatibility, the large bind button (more convenient than bind plugs), dual frame rate capability for both precision and sport flying, and the streamlined hard-case design. You're getting far more than a basic receiver—you're getting a feature-rich system that happens to come in a compact, affordable package.
- Is the AR410 weather-resistant or waterproof? — The AR410 is not specified as water-resistant or waterproof, so it should be treated as standard electronics and protected from moisture. The hard-case enclosure provides basic protection during normal outdoor flying, but you should avoid deliberately exposing the receiver to rain, water spray, or submersion. If you're flying near water or in wet conditions, consider taking additional precautions to protect the receiver from moisture.
- How does the telemetry system work on the AR410? — The AR410 includes integrated fly-by range telemetry that automatically communicates with any telemetry-capable Spektrum transmitter. Once bound to a compatible transmitter, the receiver begins sending flight data that appears on your transmitter's display—specifically receiver battery voltage and any signal events such as fades, frame losses, or failsafe activations. This happens completely automatically with no setup required. The telemetry is not compatible with the older TM1000 and TM1100 external telemetry modules, so if you're upgrading an older system, ensure your transmitter supports integrated receiver telemetry rather than external modules.
- What frame rates does the AR410 support? — The receiver is capable of both 11ms low-latency frame rate for performance-critical applications requiring maximum responsiveness, and standard 22ms frame rate for general sport flying. The frame rate selection depends on your transmitter and your specific flying needs; check your Spektrum transmitter's settings to select the appropriate frame rate for your application.
