Key Features
- Swiss 7075 T6 Aluminium Construction — This premium aluminium alloy is recognised across the aerospace and motorsport industries for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, meaning your shock tower will withstand intense cornering forces and impacts whilst keeping your RC buggy lightweight and responsive.
- 5mm Thickness — The 5mm gauge provides rigid support for your suspension geometry, ensuring consistent handling characteristics throughout a race or bash session and reducing unwanted flex that can compromise performance.
- Hard Black Anodised Finish — Beyond aesthetic appeal, the hard anodised coating provides superior corrosion resistance and durability, protecting the aluminium from oxidation and extending the component's lifespan even in wet UK weather conditions.
- European Manufacturing Quality — Made in Europe to Corally's exacting standards, this component represents precision engineering at every stage of production, with quality control that ensures consistency across every piece.
- Fits 2020 and 2021 Versions — This shock tower is specifically engineered to fit Corally buggy platforms from both the 2020 and 2021 generation vehicles, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance geometry.
- Compatible with Multiple Models — Whether you own a Python XP 6S, Radix XP 4S, or Radix XP 6S, this rear shock tower will integrate seamlessly with your current setup, making it an excellent choice for multi-vehicle collections.
- Enhances Handling Precision — By upgrading to this premium shock tower, you reduce chassis flex during aggressive cornering and acceleration, which translates directly into more predictable handling and faster lap times for competitive RC drivers.
- Direct Replacement Component — This is a straightforward bolt-on upgrade that requires no frame modifications, making it accessible even to intermediate RC enthusiasts building or maintaining their own vehicles.
Technical Performance
The Corally Shock Tower Rear represents a significant leap in chassis construction quality for RC buggy builders across the UK. The use of 7075 T6 aluminium—the same material found in high-performance aerospace applications—ensures that this component will handle the demanding forces generated by modern high-power brushless RC buggies. The 5mm wall thickness has been engineered through extensive testing to provide optimal rigidity without adding unnecessary weight that would compromise acceleration or manoeuvrability. This level of engineering means that whether you're running a 4S or 6S LiPo powered buggy, the shock tower will maintain consistent suspension geometry and prevent the flex that would otherwise degrade handling precision. The hard black anodised finish isn't merely decorative; this industrial-grade coating provides genuine corrosion resistance and durability, making the component suitable for outdoor use across varying UK weather conditions. Professional RC competitors and serious hobbyists understand that small improvements in chassis rigidity compound to create measurable gains in overall vehicle performance. When you upgrade to a quality shock tower like this, you're investing in fundamental platform integrity that will enhance every aspect of your RC buggy's behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Corally Shock Tower Rear suitable for my RC buggy? — This shock tower is specifically designed for Team Corally buggies manufactured in 2020 and 2021, including the Python XP 6S, Radix XP 4S, and Radix XP 6S models. Check your vehicle's production date and model number before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
- What is the benefit of upgrading to a premium shock tower? — A quality shock tower like this 7075 T6 component reduces chassis flex, which directly improves handling precision, cornering stability, and overall suspension geometry consistency. This results in faster lap times for racers and more predictable handling for bashing.
- Is this part difficult to install? — No, this is a direct bolt-on replacement component that requires no frame modifications. Most RC enthusiasts with basic tools can install this in under an hour, making it an excellent choice for DIY builders.
- Why is 7075 T6 aluminium better than standard aluminium? — 7075 T6 is an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy that offers superior strength and rigidity compared to standard aluminium whilst remaining lightweight. This allows the shock tower to resist flex and impact forces that would damage lesser materials.
- How does the hard anodised finish protect the component? — Hard anodised coating provides a dense, corrosion-resistant surface that protects the underlying aluminium from oxidation, moisture, and salt spray. This extends component lifespan significantly, especially important for UK RC enthusiasts racing in wet conditions.
- Is this shock tower compatible with both 4S and 6S LiPo powered buggies? — Yes, this shock tower is designed to handle the forces generated by modern brushless RC buggies regardless of power system, maintaining structural integrity across a wide range of driving styles and conditions.
