The Spektrum WS2000 Wireless Simulator USB Dongle is a game-changing accessory for RC enthusiasts across the UK who want to practise and improve their piloting skills without leaving home. This innovative dongle transforms your existing Spektrum DSMX or DSM2 radio transmitter into a wireless game controller, enabling you to connect seamlessly to your computer, Mac, or Android tablet and enjoy hours of simulator flying. Whether you're a beginner learning the fundamentals of RC flight, an experienced pilot honing your acrobatic skills, or a competitive racer preparing for the next event, the WS2000 gives you unlimited practice opportunities at zero cost per flight hour.

What makes this wireless simulator dongle particularly special is its elegant simplicity. There's no need to purchase expensive dedicated radio gear, install complex software drivers, or wade through confusing configuration menus. The dongle works with the transmitter you already own, making it an incredibly cost-effective upgrade to your RC hobby setup. Simply plug it into any USB port on your Windows PC, Apple Mac, or Android device, bind it to your transmitter following the straightforward installation process, and you're ready to launch into any compatible simulator. The WS2000 eliminates cables entirely, giving you complete freedom of movement and the authentic feel of holding your actual transmitter while flying virtual aircraft and FPV drones.

For RC car UK enthusiasts, RC aircraft pilots, and FPV racing fans alike, the Spektrum WS2000 represents an investment in skill development that will directly translate to better real-world flying performance. It's the perfect training tool for ready to run RC models, allowing you to practise complex manoeuvres, recover from unusual attitudes, and develop muscle memory without risking damage to expensive equipment.

Key Features

  • Wireless Connectivity — The dongle connects wirelessly to your Spektrum DSMX or DSM2 transmitter, completely eliminating the cable clutter of traditional simulator setups and giving you natural, unrestricted hand movement during practice sessions.
  • Universal Platform Compatibility — Works seamlessly with Windows PC, Apple Mac, and Android tablets or smartphones, ensuring you can practise wherever and whenever you have a compatible device available, whether at home, at the flying field, or on holiday.
  • No Additional Drivers Required — The dongle uses generic USB game controller drivers already built into modern operating systems, meaning zero installation complexity and immediate functionality out of the box without hunting for obscure software packages.
  • Broad Simulator Support — Compatible with leading RC flight and drone racing simulators including RealFlight 8.0 and above, DRL Drone Racing League Simulator, LiftOff FPV Simulator, HotProps FPV Simulator, and Android apps including Absolute RC Plane Sim and FPV FreeRider, giving you access to diverse training environments.
  • Works with Most USB Game Controller Software — Beyond dedicated RC simulators, the dongle functions as a standard USB game controller, meaning it's compatible with any game or simulator that accepts standard joystick input, dramatically expanding your training possibilities.
  • Supports Multiple Transmitter Models — Works with any DSMX or DSM2 format Spektrum transmitter, making it compatible with a huge range of existing radios in the UK RC community without requiring you to upgrade your equipment.
  • Compact and Portable Design — Measuring just 55.3mm long and weighing only 8 grams, the dongle is incredibly portable and won't clutter your desk or training area, slipping easily into a pocket or transmitter case for transport.
  • Simple One-Button Binding — Installation is straightforward: press and hold the bind button whilst inserting the dongle into your USB port, put your transmitter into bind mode, and you're connected within moments, with visual LED feedback confirming successful pairing.
  • Eliminates Flight Costs During Training — Virtual flight hours cost nothing compared to fuel, battery charging, field time, and potential crash repairs, making simulator training with the WS2000 an economical way to build competency before flying expensive RC equipment.

Technical Performance

The WS2000 is engineered with elegant minimalism, focusing entirely on reliable wireless connectivity without unnecessary features that would complicate the user experience. The dongle maintains a maximum input voltage of 5V, drawing power directly from the USB port to which it connects, eliminating the need for separate batteries or power supplies. Its compact physical dimensions—measuring 55.3mm in length, 20.5mm in width, and 12.6mm in height—make it one of the smallest wireless simulator interfaces available in the RC hobby market. At just 8 grams in weight, it adds virtually no burden to your portable kit. The wireless binding process employs an orange LED indicator system that provides clear visual feedback: a flashing orange LED indicates bind mode is active, whilst a solid orange glow confirms successful connection to your transmitter. This elegant feedback system eliminates guesswork during setup. The dongle is specifically designed to work with DSMX and DSM2 protocol transmitters, two of the most popular radio systems in the UK RC community, though it is not compatible with the DM9 Module, DX7 Generation 1, or the DSM2 version of the DX5e transmitter. By interfacing with your computer, Mac, or Android device as a standard USB game controller, the WS2000 leverages the host device's existing resources rather than requiring proprietary software or special system requirements, making it remarkably versatile across different platforms and machines.
