Technical Performance
The Savox SB2267SG+ represents a significant engineering achievement in servo design, combining brushless motor efficiency with precision steel gear construction to deliver performance that professional RC car competitors and serious hobbyists depend on. At 7.4V operation (typical for 2S LiPo setups used in many RC cars), the servo delivers a robust 25kg/cm of torque whilst responding in just 0.08 seconds, making it suitable for demanding steering and throttle applications. When paired with higher-voltage power sources, the servo climbs to an impressive 32kg/cm at 8.4V with response times dropping to 0.065 seconds, unlocking additional control authority for precision tuning and heavy-load scenarios. The brushless motor design eliminates the mechanical wear and maintenance concerns associated with brushed motors, ensuring consistent performance over thousands of operating cycles without degradation. The unique steel gear system manufactured by Savox uses precision manufacturing techniques to create gears that resist stripping and maintain dimensional accuracy even under extreme racing loads, shock impacts and continuous operation that would destroy plastic gear alternatives. The lightweight aluminium case at just 57 grams keeps overall weight minimal for RC cars where servo mass directly impacts acceleration and handling characteristics, whilst the 40.8mm length accommodates installation in nearly all modern RC car servo compartments. The combination of brushless efficiency, steel durability and digital precision control makes the SB2267SG+ exceptionally versatile across applications from high-speed racing to off-road bashing, delivering the reliability and performance balance that Savox is recognised for globally.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Savox SB2267SG+ suitable for upgrading my existing RC car? — Absolutely. The SB2267SG+ is specifically designed as a high-performance replacement for standard plastic-geared servos, offering significantly more torque, faster response times and superior durability. The 25-tooth spline mounting ensures compatibility with aftermarket servo horns from most manufacturers, making installation straightforward. If your current servo uses a different spline type, inexpensive adapter horns are widely available.
- What voltage should I run this servo at? — The SB2267SG+ operates across a range from standard 7.4V (2S LiPo) up to 8.4V. Running at 7.4V provides 25kg/cm torque and 0.08 second speed. For maximum performance, 8.4V operation increases torque to 32kg/cm and speed to 0.065 seconds per 60 degrees. Check your radio system and ESC to ensure they support your chosen voltage before operation.
- Is this a brushless servo and why does that matter? — Yes, the SB2267SG+ features brushless motor technology, which is a significant advantage over traditional brushed servos. Brushless motors eliminate the carbon brushes found in brushed designs, removing wear components that degrade performance over time. This means your servo maintains consistent speed, torque and responsiveness through thousands of operating cycles without maintenance, whilst also delivering improved efficiency and cooler operating temperatures even during extended driving sessions.
- What makes the steel gears special compared to plastic? — The unique precision-engineered steel gears used in the SB2267SG+ represent a major durability upgrade over plastic alternatives. Steel gears resist stripping under heavy loads, shock impacts and continuous operation that typically damages plastic gears, meaning your servo continues performing reliably through competitive racing, bashing sessions and heavy-duty off-road use without losing precision or requiring replacement.
- Is the SB2267SG+ compatible with my radio system? — The SB2267SG+ is a standard digital servo with a 25-tooth spline connector, making it compatible with virtually all modern RC car radio systems including Spektrum, Futaba, Sanwa, Radiolink and others. The Plus (+) designation indicates compatibility with Sanwa SSR systems and advanced soft start mode features where supported by your radio equipment.
- How does the low profile design help my RC car? — The compact 40.8 x 20.2 x 26.05mm dimensions and 57-gram weight minimise the servo's footprint and mass contribution to your RC car. Every gram counts in RC performance, and the lightweight design helps reduce unsprung weight whilst fitting smoothly into modern servo bays without modification. The low profile also improves weight distribution and centre of gravity without requiring chassis adjustments.
- Can beginners use the SB2267SG+ or is it too advanced? — Whilst the SB2267SG+ is definitely capable enough for advanced applications, it's equally suitable for any RC enthusiast from beginners upwards. The digital servo features are transparent to the operator, meaning beginners simply plug it in and enjoy faster, stronger steering and throttle response without any configuration complexity required. Its reliability means fewer issues and more time driving.
- What is the difference between this and cheaper plastic-geared servos? — The SB2267SG+ outperforms budget plastic-geared servos in nearly every measurable way. The brushless motor delivers superior efficiency and speed without brush wear. The steel gears provide exceptional durability under heavy use where plastic gears fail. The 25kg/cm torque handling capability manages larger loads that plastic servos struggle with, and the precision engineering ensures consistent performance season after season. For serious RC enthusiasts, the performance and reliability difference justifies the investment.
