Built to operate reliably across a wide temperature range from -10°C to 50°C, the SB2262SG is equally at home on a summer's day at the local RC track or during cooler autumn racing. The servo's compact 62-gram weight and diminutive 40.8 x 20.2 x 25.75mm footprint make it essential for modern RC design where chassis space is at a premium and weight distribution is critical to handling. Whether mounted in the nose of a 1/10 scale RC car for steering duty, integrated into the wing of a glider for precision flight control or positioned in a compact truggy, this servo delivers the combination of speed, torque and reliability that UK RC competitors and enthusiasts depend upon.

Specifications in Detail

Torque Performance: The servo delivers variable torque depending on supply voltage. At 6.0V you get 18kg of torque (equivalent to 250 ounces-force per inch). Increase the supply to 7.4V and torque climbs to 25kg (347.2 ounces-force per inch), whilst maxing out at 32kg (444.4 ounces-force per inch) at 8.4V. This voltage-scalable approach means you can tailor power delivery to your specific needs.

Speed Characteristics: Speed likewise scales with voltage. At 6.0V the servo completes a 60-degree traverse in 0.10 seconds, improving to 0.08 seconds at 7.4V and reaching an exceptional 0.065 seconds at 8.4V. These speeds ensure your steering inputs produce immediate, predictable vehicle response.

Electrical Specifications: Running current under no load reaches 180mA at 6.0V, 200mA at 7.4V and 220mA at 8.4V. Idle current consumption is minimal at just 5mA across all voltage ranges. The servo's maximum stall current ratings (4500mA at 6.0V, 5600mA at 7.4V, 6300mA at 8.4V) demonstrate it can handle demanding steering loads without failure.

Mechanical Construction: The servo case is machined from quality aluminium for strength and weight efficiency. Internal gears are manufactured from steel rather than plastic, providing superior longevity and resistance to stripping. The output shaft rides on two ball bearings, eliminating play and ensuring precise control. The servo horn uses a standard 25-tooth spline output, compatible with the majority of aftermarket RC servo horns.

Operating Specifications: The servo functions reliably across a wide temperature window from -10°C to 50°C. Digital operation at 333Hz refresh rate ensures control signals update frequently. Standard servo travel is 90 degrees from pulse widths of 1000 to 2000 microseconds, with neutral position at 1500 microseconds. Extended travel reaches approximately 130 degrees using pulse widths from 900 to 2100 microseconds.
