Technical Performance
The Savox SC1267SG+ represents a quantum leap in servo technology, engineered from the ground up for high-voltage performance that conventional servos simply cannot match. The servo delivers remarkable performance metrics across different voltage levels: at the maximum rated 7.4V, it produces 20kg/cm of torque and achieves a speed of 0.095 seconds per 60 degrees, making it one of the fastest and strongest servos in its class. Even at lower voltages, performance remains exceptional—at 4.8V it delivers 11kg/cm torque with 0.14 second response, whilst at 6.0V it provides 13kg/cm torque at 0.11 seconds per 60 degrees. This voltage flexibility means the servo adapts to your power system, whether you're using a traditional lithium polymer battery pack or exploring higher-voltage setups for maximum performance.
The engineering excellence extends to every component within the servo. The all-new motor has been specifically designed to harness the advantages of high-voltage operation, whilst the proprietary controller manages power delivery and servo response with precision. The 'bullet proof' all-steel gear set is manufactured to exacting tolerances and provides the durability required for 1/8th nitro racing, where vibration and shock loads are extreme. Four silicon seals protect the servo's internal mechanisms against water ingress and dust contamination, a critical consideration for off-road RC racing where mud and water splash are inevitable. The partial aluminium case provides rigidity and corrosion resistance whilst maintaining a lightweight profile at just 62g—an ideal balance for applications where every gram matters, such as large-scale aircraft where excessive weight impacts flight characteristics. The 25-tooth spline horn interface provides secure mounting with excellent compatibility across different RC models and applications.
The Soft Start Mode featured in this Plus model is a sophisticated addition that eliminates harsh servo movements during startup, protecting mechanical linkages and providing smoother, more controlled operation. This is particularly valuable in large-scale aircraft where abrupt control surface movements could compromise stability. Sanwa SSR compatibility ensures seamless integration with modern RC radio systems, allowing you to upgrade your RC car UK or aircraft setup without worrying about compatibility issues. The combination of high torque, rapid response, enhanced water protection, and intelligent control modes makes this servo an excellent choice for any serious RC enthusiast building a competition-grade or heavy-duty model.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Savox SC1267SG+ suitable for 1/8th nitro racing? — Yes, this servo is specifically designed for 1/8th nitro racing applications. The 20kg/cm torque at 7.4V, all-steel gear construction, and rapid 0.095-second response time make it exceptionally well-suited to the demanding requirements of competitive nitro racing where reliability and performance are essential.
- What voltage can I use with this servo? — The servo is rated for 7.4V maximum, but performs excellently at all voltages from 4.8V through 7.4V. The primary advantage of this 'High Voltage' servo is that it can operate directly at 7.4V from a two-cell lithium polymer or lithium iron phosphate battery pack without requiring a voltage regulator, delivering superior performance compared to conventional servos.
- Do I need a voltage regulator for this servo? — No, that's the key innovation of the Savox High Voltage series. Unlike conventional servos, the SC1267SG+ is engineered to operate safely and efficiently at high voltages directly from your battery pack. This eliminates the need for a separate voltage regulator, reducing weight and complexity whilst improving performance.
- How does the Soft Start Mode work and why do I need it? — Soft Start Mode provides a gradual ramp-up of servo power during startup, eliminating harsh, jerky movements that could damage mechanical linkages or compromise model stability. This feature is particularly valuable in large-scale aircraft where sudden control surface movement could be dangerous, and in precision racing applications where smooth, controlled operation is essential.
- What is Sanwa SSR compatibility and why does it matter? — Sanwa SSR (Sanwa Standard Remote) compatibility ensures this servo works seamlessly with modern Sanwa radio systems without requiring adapters or workarounds. If you're using Sanwa radio equipment, this compatibility ensures plug-and-play operation and optimal performance.
- How much torque does this servo have and is it enough for my application? — At 7.4V, the servo produces 20kg/cm of torque, which is exceptional for a standard-sized servo. This level of holding force and control authority is sufficient for controlling large-scale aircraft control surfaces, managing the steering demands of a 1/8 scale nitro buggy at full throttle, and handling the control inputs of most RC models without drooping or lag.
- What is the difference between this Plus model and the standard SC1267SG? — The Plus ('+') variant features two important enhancements: Soft Start Mode for smooth, controlled operation, and Sanwa SSR compatibility for seamless integration with modern radio systems. These additions make the Plus model more versatile and compatible with contemporary RC radio equipment.
- Is this servo waterproof? — The servo features improved water protection with four silicon seals that protect the internal mechanisms against moisture and dust ingress. However, it is not completely waterproof and should not be submerged. The water protection is sufficient for typical RC racing and flying applications where splash and moisture exposure occur.
- What applications is this servo best suited for? — The SC1267SG+ is specifically recommended for 1/8th nitro racing and large-scale aircraft applications. The combination of high torque, rapid response, and high-voltage capability makes it ideal for any demanding RC application where performance and reliability are critical.
