Technical Performance
The Futaba LT2F2000B represents a substantial upgrade in RC transmitter power technology. Operating at 7.4V, this lithium polymer battery delivers superior performance characteristics compared to traditional NiMH or alkaline batteries commonly found in RC hobby applications. The 2000mAh nominal capacity ensures your Futaba transmitter receives consistent voltage output throughout extended RC driving or flying sessions, maintaining crystal-clear radio control signal transmission and responsive control input. Lithium polymer chemistry provides excellent power delivery characteristics, meaning your transmitter won't experience the voltage sag that sometimes affects older battery technologies, resulting in more reliable control of your RC vehicles. The battery's engineering ensures stable performance across the demanding temperature range from -20°C to 60°C discharging temperature, covering everything from winter RC sessions in cold UK weather to summer racing at heated RC tracks. The charging temperature window of 0-45°C is sensible for safe lithium polymer battery charging, whilst the storage temperature range of -20 to 25°C accommodates secure battery storage in various UK garage or shed environments. The USB charging requirement of 5V at 2 amperes or higher is met by virtually all modern USB power adapters, home chargers, and computer USB ports, eliminating the need for specialist charging equipment. The lightweight construction, weighing approximately 0.11kg, means the battery adds minimal weight to your RC transmitter, preserving the ergonomics and handling characteristics of your radio control equipment. This rechargeable approach to transmitter power represents modern RC hobby best practice, offering superior value, reliability, and environmental responsibility compared to disposable battery options.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Futaba LT2F2000B compatible with my RC transmitter? — This battery is specifically designed for Futaba transmitters and features Futaba's proprietary connector. It is confirmed compatible with Futaba T16IZ and Futaba T10PX transmitters. Check your transmitter model against this compatibility list to ensure proper connection before purchase. If you're uncertain about your transmitter model, consult your RC equipment documentation or contact our expert team.
- What charging equipment do I need for this battery? — The LT2F2000B charges via any standard USB adapter providing 5V at 2 amperes or higher output. Most modern USB power supplies, computer USB ports, and mobile phone chargers meet this specification, making charging extremely convenient across UK homes and RC venues. Simply connect the appropriate USB charging cable to the battery's charging port and plug into any compatible USB power source.
- How long does the battery take to charge? — Whilst the exact charge time varies depending on your specific USB adapter's amperage output, the 2000mAh capacity and standard lithium polymer charging rates suggest charging typically completes within 2-4 hours using a standard USB power supply. Always monitor the battery during charging and follow any indicator lights or display information on the charger to confirm when charging completes.
- What are the temperature limits for this battery? — The battery operates reliably during charging between 0-45°C, during discharging (actual use in your transmitter) from -20 to 60°C, and should be stored in conditions between -20 to 25°C. These wide temperature ranges ensure the battery performs in diverse UK climate conditions, from cold winter weather to warm summer days at RC tracks and flying fields.
- Is this battery suitable for beginners in RC hobbies? — Yes, the LT2F2000B is suitable for RC enthusiasts of all experience levels. The USB charging system is straightforward and safe for beginners, the battery operates reliably without special training, and the Futaba connector ensures proper connection to compatible transmitters. Beginners will appreciate the extended runtime compared to disposable batteries and the cost savings from recharging rather than constantly purchasing new batteries for their RC setup.
- What makes lithium polymer better than alkaline batteries for RC transmitters? — Lithium polymer batteries deliver superior energy density, meaning more power in the same physical space, improved voltage stability throughout the discharge cycle, and more consistent radio control signal transmission compared to alkaline batteries. The LT2F2000B maintains stable voltage output, resulting in more responsive transmitter control of your RC vehicles. Additionally, rechargeable lithium polymer technology is more economical long-term and environmentally responsible than single-use alkaline batteries commonly used in RC hobby applications.
- Can I use this battery in my RC vehicle or aircraft? — No, the LT2F2000B is specifically engineered for transmitter use only and should not be used to power RC vehicle ESCs, motors, or aircraft flight batteries. Using this battery for purposes other than transmitter power could damage the battery or your RC equipment. Always use appropriately sized and rated batteries for your RC vehicle or aircraft power requirements.
- How should I store this battery between RC sessions? — Store the LT2F2000B in a cool, dry location within the temperature range of -20 to 25°C. A climate-controlled garage, storage cupboard, or home office environment represents an ideal storage location. Avoid storing the battery in direct sunlight, in vehicles in hot weather, or in damp environments. If storing the battery for extended periods, ensure it is not left fully discharged, as this can degrade lithium polymer battery health.
