Key Features
- 25T Output Spline — The 25T spline standard provides compatibility with the latest generation of RC servo horns and control arms, ensuring you have access to the widest range of aftermarket steering components and adjustability options available in the modern RC market.
- Class-Leading Torque Output — Producing an impressive 496 ounces-inches (35.7 kilogrammes-centimetres) of torque at 8.4 volts, this servo outperforms standard high-torque offerings and delivers the holding power necessary to maintain steering authority even when hitting large jumps or powering through rough terrain at full speed.
- Impressive Transit Speed — With a transit speed of just 0.10 seconds at 8.4 volts, this servo responds instantly to your control inputs, providing the snap and responsiveness that competitive drivers demand for precise steering and immediate directional changes during high-speed racing.
- High Voltage HV Capable — Supporting input voltage from 6.0 to 8.4 volts, this servo gives you flexibility in your power system setup. Running at 8.4 volts maximises torque output and speed, whilst the ability to operate at lower voltages provides options for various battery configurations and vehicle setups.
- All-Black Anodised Aluminium Case — The durable aluminium construction with premium black anodising provides excellent heat dissipation during extended use, whilst the sleek aesthetic matches modern RC vehicles. The rigid construction maintains alignment and smooth operation even under sustained use.
- Powerful Coreless Motor — The coreless motor design delivers smooth power delivery and rapid response, with minimal cogging for consistent, predictable control across the entire operating range.
- Hardened Steel Gears — The servo's gear train uses hardened steel components engineered for low wear and exceptional durability, ensuring reliable performance through countless racing sessions and maintaining tight mesh tolerances for smooth operation.
- Precision Engineered Gear Train — Each gear is manufactured to exacting tolerances with tight mesh engineering, resulting in minimal backlash, smooth operation, and reliable power transmission without the noise and wear associated with loose gear trains.
- Removable Servo Lead — The convenience of a removable servo lead allows you to select different lead lengths for different vehicle applications, from compact 1/8 off-road buggies to larger crawler platforms, providing the flexibility serious RC enthusiasts need.
Technical Performance
The Spektrum Competition High Torque Servo 25T represents years of engineering refinement focused on delivering maximum performance for competitive RC applications. At its core is a powerful coreless motor paired with a precision-engineered gear train featuring hardened steel gears designed for exceptionally tight mesh and minimal wear. This combination ensures the servo maintains its performance characteristics throughout its operational life, providing consistent torque and speed whether you're in the opening lap of a championship race or grinding through a technical crawling course.
The servo's all-aluminium case with premium black anodising serves a dual purpose: it provides the stylish, professional appearance expected of competition-grade equipment whilst simultaneously offering excellent thermal dissipation properties. During intense racing sessions where servo duty cycles are high, this heat management capability prevents performance degradation caused by thermal stress. The servo operates across a 6.0 to 8.4 volt input range, with peak performance achieved at the 8.4 volt maximum, delivering the 496 ounces-inches of torque and 0.10-second response time that sets this servo apart in the competitive RC market. The 25T spline output represents the modern standard for servo compatibility, ensuring you can source replacement horns, control arms, and accessories from multiple manufacturers. Whether you're running this servo in an 1/8 scale off-road buggy, a dedicated crawler, or a bashing platform, the combination of power, speed, and durability makes it equally capable across all demanding applications.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Spektrum Competition High Torque Servo 25T suitable for competitive 1/8 scale off-road racing? — Yes, absolutely. This servo is specifically engineered for 1/8 off-road racing applications and delivers the torque, speed, and reliability required to compete at the highest levels. The 496 ounces-inches of torque at 8.4 volts and 0.10-second response time provide the steering authority and responsiveness necessary for competitive racing.
- What voltage should I run this servo at for maximum performance? — For maximum torque output (496oz-in) and fastest response time (0.10 seconds), run the servo at 8.4 volts. The servo is rated for operation between 6.0 and 8.4 volts, so if your vehicle platform uses lower voltage batteries, the servo will still function effectively, though with reduced peak performance.
- Is this servo waterproof? — The source information does not specify a waterproof rating for this servo. If water resistance is critical for your application, we recommend contacting our team at RC Model Shop for detailed specification confirmation before purchase.
- How does the 25T spline compare to older servo standards? — The 25T spline is the modern industry standard that provides compatibility with the latest generation of servo horns, control arms, and aftermarket steering components. If you're upgrading from older servos with different spline standards, you may need to source compatible replacement horns, but the 25T standard ensures broad parts availability and future compatibility.
- What is the benefit of the removable servo lead? — The removable servo lead allows you to select different lead lengths for different vehicle applications. Competitive racers and enthusiasts appreciate this flexibility because they can optimise the servo installation for their specific chassis layout, whether that's a tight steering box in a compact buggy or a longer run in a crawler platform.
- Can I use this servo in crawling and bashing applications or just racing? — Whilst designed for 1/8 off-road racing, the servo is equally capable in crawling and bashing applications that demand maximum torque and holding power. The class-leading torque output makes it excellent for maintaining steering authority in slow, technical crawling scenarios and for absorbing the impacts of aggressive bashing.
- What motor type does this servo use? — The servo features a powerful coreless motor design that delivers smooth power delivery, rapid response, and minimal cogging for consistent, predictable control throughout its operating range.
