Overview

The Spektrum H3056M Sub-Micro Digital Metal Gear Heli Servo is a professional-grade servo designed specifically for sub-micro scale RC helicopters. This compact digital servo combines precision engineering with robust metal gears to deliver reliable performance in demanding aerial applications. Whether you're building a lightweight RC helicopter or upgrading an existing fleet, the H3056M offers the control accuracy and durability expected from Spektrum's renowned servo technology. As an authorised Spektrum retailer in the UK, RC Model Shop stocks this servo for pilots who demand consistent, predictable control inputs during flight operations.

Built for sub-micro RC helicopters, this servo represents the pinnacle of compact servo design. The digital control circuitry ensures fast response times and precise positioning, which are critical factors when flying delicate, small-scale RC helis. The metal gear construction provides exceptional durability compared to plastic alternatives, resisting wear and extending the operational lifespan of your servo even during intensive use. This makes it an excellent choice for serious RC helicopter enthusiasts in the UK and beyond who require dependable components that won't let them down mid-flight.

Spektrum servos are recognised worldwide for their quality and performance, and the H3056M continues this tradition with a brushed motor mechanism that delivers smooth, responsive movement. At 3.9 out of 5 stars from customer reviews, this servo has proven its worth in real-world flying conditions. Whether you're a competitive RC helicopter pilot, a hobby enthusiast, or someone building their first sub-micro heli, the H3056M provides the precision control and reliability needed for successful flight operations.

Key Features

  • Digital Control System — The H3056M utilises digital servo technology rather than analogue control, which provides superior resolution and faster response times essential for helicopter flight control where split-second adjustments are critical.
  • Metal Gear Construction — Unlike servos with plastic gears, this model features genuine metal gears throughout the drivetrain, delivering exceptional durability and resistance to stripping under load, which is particularly important for swashplate control in helicopters.
  • Sub-Micro Servo Size — Designed to be lightweight and compact, the sub-micro form factor minimises weight whilst maintaining the strength required for helicopter control inputs, allowing builders to optimise their aircraft's weight distribution and flight characteristics.
  • Brushed Motor Technology — The brushed motor design ensures smooth, linear power delivery without the electrical noise that can sometimes affect helicopter stability, providing clean control signals throughout the servo's movement range.
  • Bushing Support System — The servo utilises bushings rather than ball bearings, which is a proven design for sub-micro applications where space constraints are critical and smooth operation is achieved through precision manufacturing.

Technical Performance

The Spektrum H3056M is engineered specifically for sub-micro scale RC helicopter applications where weight, reliability, and control precision are paramount. The servo features a brushed motor coupled to a digital control circuit that interprets incoming control signals with high accuracy. The metal gear construction throughout the servo's drivetrain provides superior strength compared to plastic alternatives, resisting the mechanical stresses that occur during continuous swashplate actuation. The bushing support system ensures smooth movement across the full range of motion, which is essential for maintaining stable helicopter flight. With digital control electronics integrated into the servo housing, the H3056M responds quickly to control inputs from your RC radio receiver, enabling the rapid micro-adjustments that helicopter flight demands. The compact sub-micro size means the servo weighs very little, making it ideal for weight-critical applications where every gram matters. This servo has been designed and tested by Spektrum, a brand with decades of experience in RC control systems, ensuring that every H3056M meets stringent quality standards before leaving the factory. Whether you're flying indoors in a gymnasium or outdoors in variable wind conditions, this servo provides the consistent, predictable performance that separates successful flights from disappointing crashes.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the H3056M servo best suited for? — This servo is specifically designed for sub-micro scale RC helicopters where compact size, lightweight construction, and precise digital control are essential. It's ideal for indoor flight applications and is used by RC helicopter pilots who demand reliable swashplate control.
  • What makes digital servos better than analogue servos for helicopters? — Digital servos like the H3056M offer faster update rates and more precise positioning than analogue alternatives, which translates to smoother, more responsive control inputs during flight. This is particularly important for helicopter stability and manoeuvrability.
  • Why is metal gear construction important in a helicopter servo? — Metal gears resist stripping and wear far better than plastic gears, especially under the continuous cyclic loading that helicopter swashplate servos experience. This durability means your servo will last longer and perform consistently throughout its operational life.
  • Is the H3056M suitable for beginners? — Whilst this servo is not necessarily restricted to beginners, it is designed for serious RC helicopter flying where control precision matters. If you're just starting out with RC helicopters, consult with your helicopter manufacturer's recommendations to ensure this servo is compatible with your specific model.
  • What radio system is compatible with the H3056M? — The H3056M is a Spektrum servo and works with any RC receiver that outputs standard servo control signals. It is compatible with all modern Spektrum RC radios and receivers designed for helicopter control.
  • How durable is this servo compared to alternatives? — With its metal gear construction and brushed motor design, the H3056M offers exceptional durability for sub-micro helicopter applications. Customer ratings of 3.9 out of 5 stars reflect consistent performance in real-world flying conditions across the UK and worldwide.
