Best of all, it's equipped with Horizon Hobby's exclusive and innovative SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology that helps to prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully! Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced modes allow you to choose the level of stability and control you need, or are ready to try, at the flip of a switch. Plus you can instantly return to stable flight using Panic Recovery in any flight mode! The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes everything needed to fly in one box and is a perfect choice if you're a new RC pilot. From the Spektrum MLP6DSM 2.4GHz controller/transmitter and the AA batteries for it, to the 1S 150mAh rechargeable LiPo (Lithium Polymer) battery and a convenient USB charger that can be used with a variety of USB power sources, there's nothing extra you need to buy or provide! A Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) Basic version is also available for experienced pilots who want to use their favorite Spektrum DSMX/DSM2-equipped transmitter along with batteries and chargers they may already own.
The RTF version also includes a Steam® key to download and activate a trial version of the RealFlight® Trainer Edition RC flight simulator. The simulator features many of the most popular Horizon Hobby trainer airplanes and helicopters, including the Sport Cub S, and built-in Virtual Flight Instructor lessons. This helps new pilots learn to fly successfully by practicing on a desktop PC at home or on a laptop just about anywhere else! Learn to Fly Successfully with SAFE® Technology
If this is your first RC airplane, Horizon Hobby-exclusive SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology prevents over-control and crashes. It also offers multiple flight modes to deliver more control and capabilities as your skills progress at the flip of a switch:
In this flight mode, the airplane has pitch (up/down) and bank (left/right) angle limits that prevent over-control which could lead to a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the airplane automatically returns to level flight allowing you to relax and enjoy simply 'steering' the airplane through the sky. Best of all, takeoffs are as simple as giving full throttle and letting the airplane fly off a suitable surface, or by giving it a quick hand launch over surfaces such as grass, and landings are as easy as lowering the throttle and letting it glide to a landing on its own.
This flight mode allows more freedom in pitch and bank, but still prevents significant over-control and the airplane does not return to level flight on its own. This allows you to make tighter turns and to climb and descend faster as your skills advance.
In this flight mode there are no pitch or bank angle limits so you have complete control! You can even fly inverted (upside down) and perform aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, stall turns and more.
If you lose control of the airplane in the Intermediate or Experienced flight modes, simply activate the Panic Recovery mode with the push of a button and release the control sticks. SAFE technology will automatically return the airplane to level flight.

- For orders above £120, we offer delivery to most mainland UK addresses. For orders under £120, we can still deliver to Northern Ireland and the outlying isles, as long as the item can be sent by Royal Mail, weighs less than 30kg, and fits within 61cm × 46cm × 46cm. Some highland and remote areas may carry an extra delivery charge as couriers often apply surcharges in these locations. If you live in one of these areas, feel free to contact us before ordering so we can confirm the delivery options and costs for you.
- Most of our products include delivery in the price. If your order is under £90, a small delivery fee will apply but do not worry this will always be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
- Depending on what you choose at checkout, your order will usually be delivered either the next working day or within 2 working days. For next day delivery please place your order before 2:00pm. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only. Some items may take a little longer and if that is the case we will always show the expected delivery time on the product page.
- If your order includes items with different dispatch times we will normally wait and send everything together once all items are in stock. If one of the items is going to take a while we will give you the choice either wait for everything to arrive or let us send the available items now and deliver the rest later. It is up to you.
- We use trusted delivery partners to make sure your order gets to you safely and on time. We use DPD for next working day deliveries and Royal Mail for the 2 day option.
- As soon as your order is on its way we will send you a tracking number by email. If you provide your mobile number at checkout we will also send delivery updates straight to your phone so you can keep an eye on progress.
- If a product is marked as "Dispatched within 3 working days" delivery usually takes around 3 to 5 working days from when your order is placed.
