Key Features
- Retro Cab-Only Design — The Comp Wagon features an authentic retro-style cab design that delivers genuine visual appeal whilst maintaining the functional geometry required for high-performance rock crawling. This styling choice sets it apart from modern competitors and gives your crawler a distinctive character that will turn heads at RC events across the UK.
- Superior Approach Angle — The Comp Wagon's geometry has been meticulously engineered to deliver exceptional approach angles, meaning the front of your crawler can climb over obstacles with minimal contact with the body shell. This is absolutely critical for competitive rock crawling where every millimetre of clearance can mean the difference between success and getting stuck.
- Unmatched Tire Clearance — The body design provides outstanding tyre clearance throughout the entire range of suspension movement, ensuring your tyres have the maximum possible freedom to flex and articulate over rough terrain. Better tyre clearance directly translates to improved obstacle-climbing ability and more consistent performance on challenging courses.
- Compatibility with Pro-Line Back-Half Cage — The Comp Wagon cab body is engineered to be a perfect fit with the Pro-Line Back-Half Cage (PRO632200), allowing you to create a complete, scale-looking crawler with minimal fabrication. This compatibility saves builders time whilst ensuring professional fitment and appearance.
- Complete Customisation Package Included — This bodyshell arrives with a detailed sticker sheet, window masks, and paint-then-peel overspray film, giving you everything needed to prepare the body for painting. These included components significantly reduce setup time and ensure you have professional-quality decals and masking materials ready to use.
- Crystal Clear Polycarbonate Construction — The Comp Wagon is manufactured from high-quality polycarbonate plastic that provides exceptional clarity before painting, allowing you to see the body's design details clearly. Polycarbonate is tough, durable, and lightweight, making it ideal for demanding rock crawling applications where impacts and abrasions are inevitable.
- Made in the USA Since 1982 — Pro-Line's American manufacturing heritage spans over four decades, representing a commitment to quality, innovation, and supporting local industry. When you buy a Pro-Line product, you're investing in genuine American engineering and manufacturing excellence.
Technical Performance
The Comp Wagon Cab-Only Clear Body represents sophisticated engineering specifically tailored for 1/10-scale rock crawlers with a 12.3-inch (312-313mm) wheelbase. The bodyshell measures 10.0 inches (254mm) in length, 6.3 inches (160mm) in width, and 5.3 inches (135mm) in height, providing a compact yet imposing silhouette that works perfectly on competitive crawling platforms like the Axial SCX10 and compatible 12.3-inch wheelbase designs. The polycarbonate construction delivers the durability needed for serious RC car UK applications where the body will inevitably make contact with rocks, logs, and obstacles. The clear finish allows complete visibility of the internal build structure before painting, which is particularly valuable for builders who want to showcase detailed chassis work through the transparent bodyshell. The included paint-then-peel overspray film technology simplifies the painting process by protecting areas during spray application, whilst the window masks ensure clean, professional results around the windows without requiring advanced masking skills. This combination of included accessories means you have everything needed to move from unpainted shell to finished, decaled body without purchasing additional supplies.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What chassis does the Comp Wagon Cab-Only Clear Body fit? — The Comp Wagon is specifically designed for 1/10-scale rock crawlers with a 12.3-inch (313mm) wheelbase. It is confirmed compatible with the Axial SCX10 and other crawler platforms featuring the same wheelbase specification. If you own a different crawler platform, verify that your chassis features a 12.3-inch wheelbase before purchasing.
- Is this body suitable for beginners? — The Comp Wagon is primarily targeted at comp crawler and custom rig builders with existing experience in RC car assembly and customisation. You will need to paint the body yourself, apply decals, and mount it onto an existing chassis, so some intermediate building skills are helpful. However, if you're a beginner with access to guidance and the basic tools for painting, this is an excellent learning project that will teach you valuable customisation skills.
- Why is this sold as an unpainted clear body? — Selling as a clear, unpainted shell allows builders to customise the colour scheme to match their vision without being locked into factory colour choices. This flexibility is particularly important for competitive builders and custom rig enthusiasts who want their crawler to reflect their personal style and team colours.
- What paint should I use on this polycarbonate body? — Pro-Line manufactures specialist RC paints specifically formulated for polycarbonate bodies, with colours and finishes designed for RC applications. These paints are engineered to adhere properly to polycarbonate, resist chipping during use, and maintain brilliant colour saturation. Using Pro-Line paints ensures optimal results and compatibility.
- Can I use the Comp Wagon with the Pro-Line Back-Half Cage? — Yes, the Comp Wagon cab body is engineered to be a perfect fit with the Pro-Line Back-Half Cage (PRO632200), allowing you to create a complete crawler with minimal additional fabrication. This combination is particularly popular among builders seeking a finished, scale appearance without extensive custom work.
- What makes the approach angle and tire clearance so important in rock crawling? — Approach angle determines how steeply your crawler can climb obstacles without the front bumper or body making contact with the surface. Tyre clearance ensures your suspension can articulate fully through its range of motion without the body interfering. Both factors are absolutely critical for competitive rock crawling performance, where gaining every available degree of articulation and climbing ability can determine success or failure on challenging courses.
- How long does it take to prepare this body for use? — Preparation typically involves cleaning the body, applying window masks, painting with your chosen colours, applying the included decals, and mounting onto your chassis. The process can take several hours depending on your painting method and complexity. The included masking and overspray film significantly reduce preparation time compared to starting from scratch.
