Key Features
- 130-Size Brushed Motor — The model features a quality 130-size brushed motor that provides smooth, linear acceleration perfect for learning throttle control and developing your RC driving skills. Unlike brushless motors, brushed motors offer gentler power delivery and are significantly easier to maintain, requiring no complex programming or specialist knowledge.
- ARC-2000MT 2-in-1 ESC/RX System — This innovative integrated receiver and electronic speed controller simplifies the entire control system, reducing complexity and cost whilst maintaining excellent reliability. The 2-in-1 design means fewer components to manage, fewer potential failure points, and a more user-friendly experience overall, making this ready to run RC car ideal for beginners getting started with RC.
- LiPo-Compatible Platform — Whilst the model comes ready to run with a 7.2V NiMH battery, the system is fully compatible with modern LiPo technology. This future-proofs your investment and allows you to upgrade performance whenever you choose, without requiring chassis modifications or major component swaps.
- Fully Upgradable to Brushless — For those seeking greater speed and efficiency down the line, the brushed system can be swapped to a brushless setup by simply replacing the ESC with the ARC-24 and upgrading to Carisma's world-famous 8000KV brushless motor. This flexibility ensures your RC car can evolve with your interests and skill level.
- 3-Wire Servo Steering — The 2.0 chassis benefits from upgraded 3-wire servo technology, which enhances both performance and reliability compared to older servo standards. This means more precise steering input, faster response times, and increased longevity of the steering mechanism during extended driving sessions.
- Fully Ball-Raced Driveline — Every rotating component in the drive system uses ball bearings rather than bushings, dramatically reducing friction and wear whilst improving efficiency and handling consistency. This hobby-grade construction ensures your RC car will maintain its responsiveness and performance over many hours of use.
- Low-Maintenance Friction Dampers — The suspension uses friction dampers that require minimal maintenance compared to oil-filled alternatives, yet still provide excellent damping characteristics. This makes the model more suitable for casual users who want to spend more time driving and less time servicing.
- High-Traction Tarmac Tyres — The model comes fitted with quality high-traction tyres designed specifically for tarmac surfaces. These provide excellent grip on tarmac rally stages, smooth car parks, and similar hard surfaces, helping you achieve consistent lap times and predictable handling characteristics.
- Officially Licensed Bodyshell — This is not a generic rally car replica—it's an officially licensed Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 4 WRC body, faithfully recreating the iconic livery and design of the genuine championship-winning vehicle. This adds genuine collectible value and authentic appeal to your RC car.
- CTX-2000 2.4GHz Radio System — The included transmitter operates on the universally recognised 2.4GHz frequency band with full digital frequency hopping, ensuring reliable interference-free control. This modern radio standard is the industry norm for good reason, offering rock-solid signal stability and the ability to operate multiple RC cars simultaneously without interference.
- Ready to Run (RTR) Out of the Box — This is a genuine ready to run RC car—no assembly required beyond removing it from the packaging. Everything you need to drive is included: the car, the transmitter, the battery, the charger, and even the AA batteries for the remote control. You can be driving within minutes.
Technical Performance
The Carisma GT24 2.0 Mitsubishi EVO 4 brushed edition represents a thoughtful engineering approach to micro-scale RC rallying. The 130-size brushed motor paired with the ARC-2000MT 2-in-1 ESC/RX system delivers responsive, controllable performance that scales perfectly to the 1/24 scale platform. The integrated receiver and speed controller architecture eliminates unnecessary complexity whilst maintaining the servo responsiveness required for accurate steering input on twisty rally-style courses. The inclusion of 3-wire servo technology ensures that steering commands are executed with precision and minimal lag, a critical factor when navigating tight corners at speed. The fully ball-raced driveline minimises friction losses throughout the transmission, meaning more of the motor's available torque reaches the wheels, resulting in better acceleration and more efficient energy use from the included 7.2V NiMH battery. With a wheelbase of 121mm and a width of 89mm, the model achieves an excellent balance between stability and agility, making it equally at home on smooth tarmac rally stages or looser surfaces. The low-maintenance friction damper suspension is tuned specifically for the micro platform, providing adequate compliance over minor surface imperfections whilst maintaining the stiffness required for controlled rally-style driving. The high-traction tarmac tyres are specifically compound-selected to provide maximum grip on smooth hard surfaces, allowing you to confidently push the model to its performance limits.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Carisma GT24 2.0 Mitsubishi EVO 4 brushed edition suitable for complete beginners to RC? — Yes, absolutely. This ready to run RC car is specifically designed with beginners in mind. The brushed motor provides smooth, linear acceleration that's easier to control than brushless alternatives, helping new users develop throttle control skills. The 2-in-1 integrated ESC/receiver system eliminates the complexity of separate radio receivers and speed controllers, and everything arrives pre-assembled and ready to drive. The included CTX-2000 radio is intuitive to use, and the model's stable 1/24 scale platform is very forgiving of driving errors. You'll have much better success learning RC skills on this than with an overly complicated or high-powered vehicle.
- What battery does this ready to run RC car need, and can I upgrade it? — The model comes with a 7.2V NiMH Micro Stick Pack battery, which is perfect for beginners as NiMH batteries are very forgiving and don't require special charging procedures. The included 5V USB charger will safely charge this battery. The platform is fully LiPo-compatible, meaning you can upgrade to 2S LiPo batteries in the future if you want increased runtime and performance, though this is optional. The 7.2V NiMH setup provides adequate runtime for casual driving sessions and is the safest choice for newcomers to RC.
- How does the brushed motor compare to brushless alternatives in other RC cars? — Brushed motors like the included 130-size unit offer several advantages for casual users and beginners. They provide smooth, progressive acceleration that's easier to modulate for learning purposes, they require virtually no maintenance (unlike brushless motors which sometimes need periodic cleaning), and they're significantly more affordable. The trade-off is that brushless motors are typically more efficient and capable of higher speeds, but for 1/24 scale rally driving, the brushed motor is perfectly adequate and arguably more fun. Importantly, this platform can be upgraded to brushless later if you choose—simply replace the ESC with the ARC-24 and swap in an 8000KV brushless motor.
- What makes this Mitsubishi EVO 4 WRC model special compared to other rally cars? — This model carries several significant advantages. Firstly, it's officially licensed by Mitsubishi, meaning the bodywork, colours, and livery are authentic to the genuine championship-winning vehicle, making it genuinely collectible. Secondly, the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 4 is an icon of rally racing history, having been a formidable WRC competitor known for incredible agility and performance—this model captures that legacy. Thirdly, it uses Carisma's proven GT24 2.0 platform, which incorporates quality components like ball-raced drivetrains and hobby-grade servos. Finally, the brushed motor edition positions this as an accessible entry point to quality RC rallying without the cost of brushless systems, yet it remains fully upgradable.
- Is this an RTR (ready to run) model, or do I need to assemble it? — This is a genuine ready to run (RTR) model. The chassis arrives fully assembled and tested. You simply remove it from the packaging, insert the AA batteries into the transmitter, and you're ready to drive. There's no building, no soldering, no complex assembly procedures. This is ideal if you want to get driving immediately without any technical knowledge or tools.
- What radio system does this use, and will it interfere with other RC cars? — The model uses a CTX-2000 2.4GHz digital proportional transmitter with frequency hopping technology. The 2.4GHz frequency band is the modern industry standard and is far less prone to interference than older 27MHz or 75MHz systems. Frequency hopping means the signal automatically selects the clearest channel available, and you can operate multiple RC cars simultaneously without conflicts. This is a reliable, proven radio system suitable for both hobby use and competition.
- Can I use this RC car outdoors as well as indoors? — Yes, the 1/24 scale platform is versatile enough for both environments. The high-traction tarmac tyres work best on smooth hard surfaces like car parks, driveways, and indoor floors, but the model is robust enough to handle outdoor tarmac and smooth rally stages. The electronics are not waterproof, so you should avoid wet conditions and puddles. For casual outdoor use on dry tarmac, the model is entirely suitable.
- How long does the battery last per charge? — Runtime varies depending on driving style and conditions, but you can expect 15-30 minutes of driving per charge from the included 7.2V NiMH battery, depending on how hard you're driving. For extended sessions, we recommend purchasing a second battery so one can charge whilst you drive with the other.
- What is included in the purchase, and what do I need to buy separately? — The model includes everything needed for immediate driving: the ready to run car, the transmitter, the battery, the charger, AA batteries for the remote, and the car is fully assembled. You don't need to buy anything else to start driving, though some users choose to purchase spare batteries, additional tyres, or upgrade components as they become more experienced with RC.
