Overview

The ARRMA Aluminium Chassis CNC 7075 T6 XLWB is a precision-engineered replacement chassis plate designed for serious RC enthusiasts who demand the highest levels of strength and durability. This premium aluminium chassis component is engineered to provide the perfect balance of lightweight construction and exceptional rigidity, making it an essential upgrade for anyone running an ARRMA 1/7 scale RC truck in the UK. Whether you're a dedicated basher pushing your vehicle to its limits or a competitor seeking competitive-grade components, this CNC-machined chassis delivers the performance and reliability you need to keep your RC car running at peak performance.

Built from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, this is one of the most advanced aerospace-grade materials used in RC car construction. The XLWB (extra-long wheelbase) configuration provides enhanced stability and improved handling characteristics across a variety of terrain types. The chassis features an anodised black finish with laser etching, ensuring it not only performs exceptionally but also looks the part on your RC model. This is genuine ARRMA OEM (original equipment manufacturer) hardware, and it's the same component fitted to factory-built ARRMA 1/7 scale trucks including the Big Rock 6S, Mojave 6S and Talion 6S ranges.

RC enthusiasts in the UK will appreciate the engineering excellence evident in every detail of this chassis. The CNC machining process ensures perfect precision in every hole, edge and surface, eliminating the manufacturing tolerances found in cheaper alternatives. This level of precision manufacturing translates directly into faster assembly times, improved component fitment and more reliable long-term performance for your ready to run RC truck or roller chassis project.

Key Features

  • 7075-T6 Aluminium Construction — This chassis plate is CNC machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminium, one of the strongest and most durable materials available for RC car components. This material specification provides exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, allowing the chassis to withstand extreme bashing, racing and competitive driving without unnecessary weight penalty.
  • CNC Precision Manufacturing — Every chassis is computer numerically controlled (CNC) machined to exacting tolerances, ensuring perfect accuracy in all mounting holes, droop settings and structural features. This precision manufacturing allows for fast and easy servicing, as all hardware mounts perfectly without shimming or modification.
  • Anodised Black Finish with Laser Etching — The chassis features a professional-grade anodised black surface coating that provides enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. The laser-etched ARRMA branding and design details add authentic style while remaining fully functional.
  • Integrated Droop Setting Plates — Advanced tuning features are built directly into the chassis design, including integrated droop setting plates that allow you to adjust suspension geometry in minutes without requiring additional components. This enables competitive drivers to fine-tune handling characteristics for optimal performance on different track conditions and racing formats.
  • Front Kick-Up Design — The chassis incorporates a formed front kick-up that improves approach angle and prevents the vehicle from nose-diving during aggressive acceleration or jumping, enhancing both off-road capability and durability during high-impact driving.
  • Angled Sides for Ground Clearance — The sides of the chassis are purposefully angled to provide added ground clearance whilst simultaneously increasing overall chassis stiffness. This engineering solution means improved obstacle clearance without sacrificing the structural rigidity needed for consistent handling under load.
  • XLWB Configuration — The extra-long wheelbase design is optimised for stability and consistent handling characteristics, providing the perfect platform for vehicles requiring improved weight distribution and suspension travel utilisation.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Aluminium Chassis CNC 7075 T6 XLWB represents the pinnacle of chassis engineering for 1/7 scale RC vehicles. The 7075-T6 aluminium alloy is renowned throughout the aerospace and motorsport industries for its exceptional strength characteristics whilst maintaining a low density, resulting in a component that provides maximum rigidity with minimal weight addition to your vehicle. The CNC machining process ensures every hole, edge and surface is manufactured to precise tolerances, eliminating the variability found in conventionally manufactured chassis plates. The precision-manufactured hardware mounting holes accept standard fasteners without rework, reducing setup time and minimising the potential for stripped threads or incorrect fitment. The integrated droop setting features allow for geometry adjustments ranging from standard to advanced setup configurations, making this chassis equally suitable for casual weekend bashers seeking a durable replacement component or serious competitors fine-tuning suspension geometry for track performance. The angled sides increase torsional stiffness whilst the front kick-up improves approach angles, combining to deliver a chassis platform that maintains consistent handling whether you're driving on loose dirt, rocky terrain, grass or sand. The anodised black finish provides genuine corrosion resistance, ensuring the component maintains its appearance and structural integrity through extended use in wet UK weather conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this ARRMA chassis compatible with my RC vehicle? — This chassis is confirmed as original equipment for the ARRMA 1/7 Big Rock 6S 4X4 RTR, ARRMA 1/7 Mojave 6S 4X4 RTR, ARRMA 1/7 Mojave 6S EXB 4X4 and ARRMA 1/7 Talion 6S EXB models. Check your specific model designation against these fitments to confirm compatibility before purchase.
  • Why should I choose 7075-T6 aluminium over other materials? — 7075-T6 is an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy offering superior strength compared to softer aluminium grades, providing enhanced durability for high-impact driving and racing. The T6 heat treatment specifically optimises the material for maximum strength, making it the ideal choice for demanding RC applications where component reliability directly impacts performance.
  • What makes CNC machining better than conventional manufacturing? — Computer numerically controlled machining produces components with repeatable precision that conventional manufacturing cannot achieve. Every hole, edge and feature is manufactured to identical specifications, ensuring perfect fitment with other components, reducing assembly time and minimising potential compatibility issues.
  • Can I use this chassis as a direct replacement? — Yes, this is genuine ARRMA original equipment manufactured to the same specifications as factory-installed chassis plates. The precision manufacturing ensures compatibility with all standard ARRMA suspension and drivetrain components designed for these models.
  • Does the anodised finish require special maintenance? — The anodised black coating is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance. Standard cleaning with mild soap and water will maintain both appearance and protective properties. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could compromise the finish.
  • What is the benefit of integrated droop setting plates? — Integrated droop settings eliminate the need for separate tuning components whilst providing precise geometry adjustments. This allows competitive drivers to modify suspension anti-squat and anti-dive characteristics in minutes, enabling quick optimisation for different track conditions or driving styles without additional equipment purchase.
