Technical Performance

The QuicRun 3650 SD G2 motor paired with the 10BL60-SD G2 ESC delivers outstanding performance for 1/10th and 1/12th scale RC cars. The 13.5T version (which refers to the winding turns) produces a 2850 KV rating, making it ideal for 2-3S LiPo batteries and delivering responsive acceleration without excessive heat generation. The motor features a 36mm diameter case with a 52.8mm length, weighing just 186 grams, and utilises precision ball bearings (D9.525 x D3.175 x t3.967mm) in both front and rear positions for smooth, efficient operation. The sensored brushless design means the motor communicates with the ESC through Hall effect sensors, allowing for seamless low-speed control and smooth starts that are perfect for technical driving and competition racing.

The ESC measures just 35.0 x 31 x 30.8mm and weighs only 66.5 grams (including pre-soldered wires and connectors), making it compact enough to fit into tight chassis layouts whilst maintaining robust power handling. With 60A continuous current capacity and an impressive 200A peak current rating, this ESC is built on a robust hardware foundation combined with advanced software that provides strong current resistance and protection. The 2S LiPo input voltage rating keeps the setup lightweight and cost-effective, whilst the 4A BEC output ensures servo power independence and performance consistency throughout extended driving sessions. The switch mode BEC design is more efficient than linear alternatives, generating less heat and consuming less battery capacity for servo operation.

Performance across touring cars, drift cars, buggies, and short course trucks is consistent and predictable. The no-load current of just 2.4A at 2850 KV means minimal battery drain when the motor is spinning freely, resulting in improved overall battery runtime. The fixed timing ensures reliable operation across different driving styles without requiring complex tuning, whilst the optional Boost/Turbo timing adjustments (up to 24 degrees) provide that extra performance margin when racing competitively. Build quality throughout demonstrates Hobbywing's commitment to reliability, with gold-plated connectors, quality solder joints, and thermal management that places this combo among the finest entry-level and intermediate ESC and motor combinations available in the UK RC market.
