Overview

The Hobbywing XERUN V10 13.5T G4R Black Motor (HW30401749) is a premium brushless motor specifically engineered for 1/10 and 1/12 stock class racing. This is the motor of choice for serious RC racers in the UK who demand consistency, reliability and performance within sanctioning spec class rules. Whether you're competing at your local track or pushing for championship honours, the XERUN V10 represents the pinnacle of stock motor technology and delivers the competitive edge you need to stay ahead of the competition.

Hobbywing has completely redesigned the G4R platform with innovations that address every aspect of motor performance. The new G4R stator and winding design reduces internal resistance whilst maintaining full compliance with stock class specifications, meaning you get maximum efficiency without sacrificing legality. The improved motor efficiency translates directly to lower temperature rise, which keeps internal resistance numbers consistent throughout your racing session — critical for maintaining predictable handling and performance lap after lap. This is a motor built by engineers who understand what racers demand from their equipment.

For UK RC car enthusiasts shopping for a brushless RC motor that delivers track-proven performance, the XERUN V10 G4R is the standard against which all competitors are measured. Its reputation is earned through countless race wins and satisfied customers who have trusted this motor to perform when it matters most.

Key Features

  • G4R Stator and Winding Design — The new generation G4R stator uses advanced winding geometry that reduces overall internal resistance, allowing the motor to operate more efficiently whilst maintaining full stock class compliance. This means more consistent performance throughout your racing sessions without the power dropout that comes with motors running hot.
  • Open Core Can Design — Unlike traditional closed motor cans, the XERUN V10 features an open core can that allows the stator heat to be directly cooled by airflow. Combined with the rotor design, this creates a cooling pathway through the entire motor, maximising heat dissipation and keeping the motor running at optimal temperature even under sustained racing conditions.
  • Exposed Stator Core — The innovative outer diameter structure exposes the stator core completely, which increases the heat dissipation area dramatically. The rear end of the motor is specifically engineered to further improve heat dissipation, ensuring the motor can handle the demands of competitive racing without thermal stress.
  • Ultra-Quiet Operation — Updated nylon mixed shims provide exceptional noise reduction whilst delivering long-lasting consistency. These shims are engineered to reduce the audible whine that many motors produce, allowing you to focus on racing rather than distracting motor noise.
  • Extended Gasket Durability — The wear resistance of the gasket has been increased by approximately 2 times compared to previous generations. This extended lifespan means your motor stays sealed properly for longer, maintaining performance and protecting internal components from contamination.
  • High-Temperature Wiring — G4R motors use the highest temperature rated wiring available today, with 220°C high-temperature-resistant enamelled wire throughout. Temperature resistance is up to 40 degrees Celsius higher than competing brands, allowing the motor to be pushed to its absolute limits whilst resisting heat damage. This durability means the motor comes back for more, race after race.
  • Dual Sensor Ports — The G4R features two sensor ports providing racers with complete flexibility for sensor wire routing and layout requirements. The unused port is protected by an included silicon port plug, keeping your wiring neat and protected. Whether you run a tight wire layout or prefer different routing, the dual sensor design accommodates your preferences.
  • High-Precision Hall Sensor — The built-in high precision Hall sensor combined with a high precision and perfectly balanced rotor guarantee outstanding linearity. This means throttle response is smooth and predictable, with no dead spots or non-linear behaviour that could upset your driving lines.
  • High-Precision Bearings — High precision and high strength bearings throughout the motor ensure smooth operation and exceptional durability. These bearings are engineered to tight tolerances, reducing friction and maximising efficiency.
  • Modular Design for Easy Maintenance — The sleek and simple modular design makes regular service and cleaning straightforward and direct. Cleaner motors last longer and run more efficiently, and the G4R's design makes it easy to keep your motor in peak condition without complex disassembly.
  • Customised Copper Bar Spacing — The special copper bar features widened spacing, which greatly facilitates soldering wire connections. This thoughtful engineering makes motor maintenance and repairs easier for technicians.
  • Super Current Endurance — Copper solder tabs with super current endurance guarantee outstanding performance under high current loads, ensuring reliable power delivery throughout your racing session.

Technical Performance

The Hobbywing XERUN V10 13.5T G4R is built to the exacting standards demanded by competitive 1/10 scale stock racing. With a KV rating of 4100 and 13.5 turns of winding, this motor delivers predictable, consistent power when paired with 2-3S LiPo batteries — the standard power source for UK RC racers in this class. The motor draws 5.4A at no load and produces a maximum power output of 297W with peak current draw of 70.7A, providing the dynamic performance needed for competitive racing. The two-pole configuration ensures smooth power delivery and excellent throttle linearity. Measuring just 35.8mm in outer diameter and 51.3mm in length, the motor is compact enough to fit within stock chassis specifications whilst offering the thermal management of a significantly larger design. The 3.175mm shaft diameter is the standard specification for stock motors. At 152 grams, the motor is lightweight yet robust, featuring precision D9x4x4mm front bearings and D8x3x4mm rear bearings that provide years of reliable service. The motor is sensored and sensorless compatible, allowing it to be paired with a wide range of brushless ESCs. The XERUN V10 G4R is specifically designed to work with the Hobbywing XeRun XR10 Stock Spec G2 ESC, a professionally recognised combination that dominates stock class racing across the UK and internationally.
