This is not a motor for casual bashers; it's a competition-grade brushless motor engineered for drivers who demand absolute precision, repeatability, and durability from their RC racing setup. If you're searching for a high-performance brushless RC motor in the UK, a reliable sensored motor for your off-road racing platform, or a proven component for 2WD competition vehicles, the XERUN V10 7.5T G3 delivers the quality and performance you need.
Key Features
- Significantly Improved RPM and Torque Output — The G3 motor delivers 16% more KV rating and 4% more torque than the V10 G2 Stock Spec motor, providing substantially higher RPM and improved acceleration characteristics that translate into faster lap times and more responsive handling.
- Exceptional Motor Linearity — The built-in high precision Hall sensor combined with a high precision and perfectly balanced rotor guarantees remarkable linearity throughout the motor's operating range, meaning power delivery is smooth, predictable and consistent across all throttle positions, which is essential for competitive racing.
- Ultra-Lightweight Construction — At just 161 grams, the G3 motor weighs approximately 11% less than its G2 predecessor, allowing you to precisely adjust your vehicle's weight distribution and centre of gravity for optimal handling characteristics on the track.
- Asymmetric Bearing Design — The front bearing has been increased in size by 26% to improve load-carrying capacity and stability, whilst the rear bearing has been reduced by 6% to minimise friction and resistance, resulting in a motor that runs more smoothly and efficiently with better overall stability.
- Outstanding Heat Dissipation — The special shell design exposes the stator core to ambient air, and the strategically positioned holes on the front and rear end plates ensure maximum cooling efficiency, allowing the motor to maintain peak performance even during extended race sessions without thermal degradation.
- Stepless Adjustable Mechanical Timing — The mechanical timing can be finely and smoothly adjusted from 20 to 50 degrees with skid-proof lines at the rear end plate that guarantee timing stability after adjustment, giving you full control over the motor's power characteristics and acceleration curve.
- BRCA and EFRA Approved — This motor meets all regulatory requirements for both British and European RC racing, ensuring it's fully compliant and legal for use in official sanctioned competitions and events.
- Rebuilding and Maintenance Design — The detachable structure allows easy disassembly for regular cleaning and maintenance, effectively prolonging the service life of the motor and maintaining its efficiency and performance characteristics over extended periods of use.
- High-Quality Component Specification — The motor utilises a high-performance stator core, heat-resistant pure copper wire rated to 200°C, a heat-resistant precision rotor with strong structure, international top brand high-precision bearings, and copper solder tabs with exceptional current endurance.
- Flexible End Plate Options — Although the 7.5T motor ships with small-hole end plates designed to keep sand and dirt out for off-road applications, you have the option to purchase alternative big-hole end plates for different cooling characteristics if needed.
Technical Performance
The Hobbywing XERUN V10 7.5T G3 is a 2-pole brushless sensored motor engineered with a 35.9mm outer diameter and 51.2mm length, featuring a 3.17mm shaft diameter with 13.3mm shaft length. This compact yet powerful brushless motor delivers a KV rating of 4420, meaning it will produce approximately 4,420 RPM per volt of input, making it ideal for 2S LiPo battery systems in competitive 1/10 scale applications. The no-load current of just 3.3 amps demonstrates the motor's efficiency, whilst the maximum power output reaches an impressive 346 watts at 100 amps, providing explosive acceleration and consistent power delivery throughout the entire race session. The motor's 5-12.5 stock rotor compatibility allows for tuning flexibility, and the adjustable mechanical timing range of 20-50 degrees gives you precise control over the motor's performance characteristics. Built with high-performance stator laminations, heat-resistant copper wire and rotor, high-precision bearings from international top brands, and reinforced copper solder tabs, this motor is engineered to withstand the demands of serious competitive racing. The asymmetric bearing design and special shell construction combine to ensure the motor runs cool, smooth and efficient, whilst the Hall sensor provides precise commutation feedback for accurate speed control. Whether you're competing in BRCA or EFRA sanctioned 1/10 scale off-road racing or 2WD drift events, this is a motor built to perform at the highest levels of competition and deliver the reliability and consistency that separates winners from the rest of the field.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Hobbywing XERUN V10 7.5T G3 suitable for beginners? — This is a competition-grade brushless motor designed for experienced RC racers and drivers who understand motor tuning, timing adjustment, and advanced setup. Beginners would benefit from starting with a more basic brushless system before progressing to the V10 G3, as this motor requires knowledge of mechanical timing adjustment and compatibility with appropriate ESCs and batteries.
- What battery does the XERUN V10 7.5T motor need? — This motor is designed for 2S LiPo battery systems, which provide the correct voltage and current handling for optimal performance. A 2S LiPo battery delivers approximately 7.4 volts nominal, which aligns perfectly with the motor's 4420 KV rating to produce the desired RPM and power output for 1/10 scale racing applications.
- How does this motor compare to the previous V10 G2? — The G3 version delivers 16% more KV rating and 4% more torque than the V10 G2 Stock Spec motor, whilst weighing 11% less at just 161 grams. The asymmetric bearing design is upgraded, with the front bearing increased by 26% for better load-carrying capacity and the rear bearing reduced by 6% to minimise friction. These improvements combine to deliver noticeably better performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Is this motor approved for competitive racing in the UK? — Yes, the XERUN V10 7.5T G3 is BRCA and EFRA approved, meaning it meets all regulatory requirements for British and European RC racing competitions and events, making it fully legal for use in official sanctioned races.
- What makes the timing adjustment important on this motor? — The mechanical timing can be adjusted from 20 to 50 degrees, and this adjustment dramatically affects the motor's power curve, acceleration characteristics, and overall performance. More timing typically provides more top-end power but can reduce low-end torque, whilst less timing does the opposite. This adjustability allows you to fine-tune the motor to perfectly match your vehicle setup and racing style.
- How does the Hall sensor improve performance? — The built-in high precision Hall sensor provides accurate commutation feedback to the ESC, ensuring smooth and precise power delivery. Combined with the high precision and balanced rotor, this guarantees exceptional linearity, meaning the motor responds predictably and consistently at all throttle positions—critical for competitive racing where repeatability can determine race outcomes.
- Can I maintain and rebuild this motor myself? — Yes, the detachable structure design allows easy disassembly for cleaning, inspection, and maintenance. This means you can keep your motor in peak condition, replace worn components, and extend the service life significantly, making it a more economical choice for serious racers over time.
- What's the advantage of the asymmetric bearing design? — The larger front bearing (26% bigger than G2) provides better load-carrying capacity and stability under the stresses of competitive racing, whilst the smaller rear bearing (6% reduction) minimises friction and resistance, resulting in a motor that runs smoother, more efficiently, and with better overall stability throughout the race session.
