These precision-engineered shocks deliver increased strength, smoother damping, and genuine tunability that transforms how your vehicle handles across any terrain. Whether you're tackling high-speed pavement runs or aggressive off-road sessions, the PowerStroke shocks allow you to fine-tune your setup to match your exact driving style and the conditions you encounter.
Pro-Line Racing has applied their trusted precision engineering to create shocks that go far beyond stock performance. The ARRMA GROM and GRANITE models have redefined what modern RC vehicles can achieve, and these PowerStroke shocks take suspension performance to the next level. As a complete four-shock kit with multiple tuning options, this upgrade is ideal for RC enthusiasts in the UK who want to unlock their vehicle's true potential without the complexity of a full rebuild or replacement system.
If you're serious about your RC car performance, whether you're a weekend basher, competitive racer, or someone who simply loves pushing their vehicle to the limit, the PowerStroke shocks offer the kind of precision and durability that makes every run more enjoyable. The combination of premium materials, thoughtful engineering, and genuine tunability makes this one of the most worthwhile suspension upgrades available for your ARRMA platform.
Key Features
- 3mm Shock Shaft Design — The PowerStroke shocks feature a noticeably thicker 3mm shock shaft compared to the stock 2.5mm design, providing significantly greater strength and durability when you're pushing your GROM hard across demanding terrain, which means more confidence and less worry about component failure during aggressive driving.
- Oil-Filled Emulsion Suspension — The precision oil-filled design with integrated bleeder screw allows you to set exact rebound characteristics, ensuring consistent suspension performance and improved handling across a wide range of driving conditions, from smooth tracks to rough off-road terrain.
- Shock Oil Viscosity Tuning — One of three critical tuning options, adjusting shock oil viscosity lets you fine-tune damping characteristics to suit your driving style and terrain, giving you control over how quickly the suspension compresses and rebounds.
- Threaded Composite Ride-Height Adjustment — The integrated threaded design allows you to adjust ride height with precision, enabling you to optimize ground clearance and suspension geometry for different driving scenarios without requiring complicated modifications.
- Interchangeable Spring Options — PowerStroke shocks come with both soft and hard springs included in the box, meaning you can instantly adjust spring rates to match speed runs, bashing sessions, or off-road performance without purchasing additional components.
- Precision-Machined Aluminium Construction — Shock bodies and caps are precision-machined from premium aluminium, providing smooth operation, excellent durability, and long-term reliability that withstands repeated hard use and impacts.
- Laser-Etched Pro-Line Branding — The professional laser-etched Pro-Line logo adds a premium finishing touch that reflects the high-performance upgrade quality of these shocks, making them as impressive looking as they are functional.
- Fully Serviceable Design — PowerStroke shocks are designed with serviceability in mind, backed by replacement shafts, springs, seals, and complete rebuild kits, ensuring your investment stays performing at its best run after run and season after season.
- Complete Four-Shock Kit — This package includes four shocks ready for installation, plus all necessary mounting hardware and both spring options, making it a comprehensive suspension upgrade that covers front and rear positions.
Technical Performance
The PowerStroke Front/Rear Oil-Filled Shocks represent a comprehensive approach to suspension tuning that addresses the limitations of stock ARRMA components. The 3mm shock shaft provides a substantial upgrade from the 2.5mm stock design, increasing structural rigidity and impact resistance during hard cornering, jumps, and rough terrain running. The oil-filled emulsion system with integrated bleeder screw is the technical heart of these shocks, allowing drivers to precisely adjust damping characteristics by selecting appropriate oil viscities. This system maintains consistent rebound performance across temperature ranges and driving intensities, crucial for maintaining predictable handling in varying UK weather conditions. The precision-machined aluminium shock bodies and caps ensure smooth internal operation and exceptional durability, while the threaded composite ride-height adjustment mechanism allows adjustment without tools or destructive modifications. The inclusion of both soft and hard springs within the box demonstrates Pro-Line's commitment to complete tunability—you can instantly switch spring rates by disassembling and reassembling the shocks, enabling rapid setup changes between different driving styles or terrain types. The fully serviceable design is backed by availability of replacement shafts, springs, seals, and complete rebuild kits, ensuring these shocks can be maintained and repaired rather than replaced when wear occurs, making them a more sustainable and cost-effective long-term investment than disposable suspension components.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How much stronger are these shocks compared to stock ARRMA suspension? — The PowerStroke shocks feature a 3mm shock shaft compared to the stock 2.5mm design, representing a 20% increase in shaft diameter for significantly greater strength and durability. Additionally, the oil-filled emulsion system provides superior damping control compared to basic stock dampers, delivering noticeably smoother and more predictable suspension action across all terrain types.
- Can I adjust these shocks without special tools? — Yes, the PowerStroke shocks are designed for driver-friendly tuning. You can adjust ride height using the threaded composite adjustment mechanism, change spring rates by swapping between included soft and hard springs, and fine-tune damping by selecting different shock oil viscosities. All adjustments are straightforward enough for casual RC car UK enthusiasts without requiring technical expertise.
- What oil viscosity should I use? — The sources specify that the shocks are oil-filled and allow oil weight tuning, but specific viscosity recommendations for different terrain types are not provided in the manufacturer documentation. We recommend contacting Pro-Line Racing directly or consulting with our team at RC Model Shop for guidance on selecting the ideal oil weight for your specific driving conditions and style.
- Are these shocks suitable for both speed runs and aggressive off-road bashing? — Absolutely. The PowerStroke shocks are specifically designed for versatility across driving styles. The combination of soft and hard spring options, adjustable ride height, and oil viscosity tuning means you can dial in the perfect setup for high-speed pavement runs, aggressive terrain bashing, or anywhere in between. This makes them ideal for drivers who enjoy different kinds of RC car UK experiences.
- What makes these better than budget suspension upgrades? — Pro-Line's PowerStroke shocks combine three genuine advantages: the substantially thicker 3mm shock shaft for durability, the oil-filled emulsion system for precise damping control, and precision-machined aluminium construction for smooth operation and longevity. The fully serviceable design backed by replacement parts means you're investing in components that can be maintained rather than replaced, providing better long-term value than cheaper alternatives.
- Can I service these shocks myself? — Yes, the PowerStroke shocks are designed to be fully serviceable. Replacement shafts, springs, seals, and complete rebuild kits are available separately, allowing you to maintain and repair these shocks throughout their lifespan rather than discarding them when wear occurs. This design philosophy makes them an excellent choice for committed RC car UK enthusiasts.
- Are these shocks included in the price or do I need to purchase springs separately? — Both soft and hard springs are included in the box, along with all mounting hardware. You're receiving a complete four-shock suspension upgrade with everything needed for installation and immediate use without additional purchases required.
