Technical Performance
The SAVOX SB3292SG represents the cutting edge of brushless servo technology, delivering performance metrics that rival servos costing significantly more. At 7.4V (using a 2S LiPo battery), the servo produces 40kg-cm of torque whilst completing a 60-degree rotation in just 0.07 seconds — a speed that translates to razor-sharp steering response in competitive racing environments. Increase the voltage to 8.4V (using higher capacity LiPo packs or NiMH batteries), and performance jumps dramatically to 55kg-cm of torque with an even more impressive 0.055-second response time. This voltage scalability means you can tailor servo performance to match your power system and driving style.
The engineering excellence extends throughout the servo's construction. The full aluminium case isn't simply cosmetic — it serves a critical function by efficiently dissipating heat generated during operation, keeping the servo cool even during extended high-demand sessions. Heat dissipation is crucial for maintaining performance consistency, preventing servo drift, and extending component lifespan. The three-ball bearing support system (3BB) uses precision bearings to ensure the output shaft rotates with minimal friction, enabling both the impressive speed rating and the consistent, reliable torque delivery. Unique steel gearing throughout the servo's transmission means you're getting professional-grade durability — these gears resist stripping under load far better than plastic alternatives, making them essential for competitive use and heavy-duty applications.
The brushless motor design is a significant advantage over traditional brushed servos. Without brushes to wear and without a commutator to accumulate debris, the motor maintains consistent performance throughout its operational life. Brushless technology also generates less electrical noise, operates more efficiently (meaning less wasted energy as heat), and provides smoother power delivery with better linearity across the entire control range. For RC enthusiasts running brushless ESCs and modern radio systems, the SB3292SG offers perfect synergy with contemporary RC technology, ensuring your entire drivetrain operates at peak efficiency.
