This translates to longer service life, more consistent performance and better value for money over the lifetime of the servo.
  • High Torque Output — With 28kg-cm of torque at 7.4V and an exceptional 35kg-cm at 8.4V, this servo generates tremendous holding power and responsiveness, making it capable of handling demanding steering inputs and directional control in high-speed RC vehicles. The high torque ensures precise control even under extreme conditions.
  • Ultra-Fast Response Speed — Delivering 0.08 seconds per 60 degrees at 7.4V and an impressive 0.065 seconds at 8.4V, the SB3262SG responds almost instantaneously to control inputs, which is critical for competitive RC racing where milliseconds count and precision steering is paramount.
  • Low Profile Design — The compact dimensions of 40.8 x 20.2 x 25.4mm make this servo significantly slimmer than standard servos, allowing it to fit into tight mounting spaces within modern RC chassis designs. This is particularly valuable in ready to run RC cars and custom builds where space is at a premium.
  • Full Aluminium Case Construction — The entire servo housing is manufactured from durable aluminium rather than plastic, providing superior strength, better heat dissipation and increased overall durability. This heavy-duty construction means the servo can withstand impacts, vibrations and the stress of aggressive driving without degradation.
  • Water Resistant Performance — The servo features water-resistant construction, protecting the internal electronics from moisture, dust and debris encountered during outdoor RC car racing and bashing sessions. This enhances reliability in wet conditions and extends the servo's working life in challenging environments.
  • Dual Ball Bearing Design — Two ball bearings support the servo shaft, reducing friction and wear whilst improving response speed and accuracy. This engineering ensures smooth, consistent operation and contributes to the servo's exceptional performance characteristics.
  • 25-Tooth Metal Gear Spline — The servo features a standard 25-tooth spline with unique steel gears, providing compatibility with a vast range of RC servo horns and allowing flexibility in your RC setup. The metal construction ensures durability and resistance to stripping even under heavy loads.
  • Soft Start Mode and Sanwa SSR Compatibility — New SAVOX models now feature Soft Start Mode technology and are fully compatible with Sanwa SSR systems as standard. This means smooth, controlled servo movements without jerky responses, and seamless integration with compatible RC radio systems for a refined driving experience.
  • High Voltage Capability — The servo operates across a 6.0V to 8.4V range, with specifications that improve dramatically at higher voltages. Running at 8.4V delivers noticeably faster response times and substantially increased torque output, giving you flexibility in power configuration and room to upgrade your battery setup for enhanced performance.

Technical Performance

This is a professional-grade digital brushless servo that combines cutting-edge engineering with practical, user-friendly design. The brushless motor architecture eliminates the carbon brushes found in traditional servos, reducing friction losses and enabling the SB3262SG to deliver exceptional speed and torque consistency regardless of load or environmental conditions. At 7.4V — a standard voltage for modern 2S LiPo packs used in many RC car UK setups — the servo achieves 0.08 seconds per 60 degrees with a powerful 28kg-cm of torque, making it suitable for precision steering in competitive racing applications where response speed directly impacts lap times and handling characteristics. Push the voltage to 8.4V using a 2S LiPo pack with appropriate battery management, and the performance elevates further to 0.065 seconds with 35kg-cm of torque, translating to even snappier steering inputs and greater control authority.

The full aluminium construction provides numerous performance benefits beyond aesthetics. Aluminium offers superior thermal conductivity compared to plastic housings, allowing the servo to dissipate heat generated during extended use more effectively. This is particularly important during competitive RC racing sessions where the servo may be active for extended periods, as thermal management directly impacts long-term reliability and performance consistency. The CNC-machined construction ensures tight tolerances and perfect alignment of all internal components, contributing to the servo's exceptional accuracy and longevity. The water-resistant design protects the electronics from the moisture and mud inevitable in outdoor RC driving, whether you're running a competitive race-spec vehicle or enjoying weekend bashing with a ready to run RC car. Weighing just 53 grams, the SB3262SG adds minimal mass to your RC vehicle, preserving speed and efficiency whilst delivering the control authority needed for precise directional management.

The dual ball bearing design running on metal gears with a 25-tooth spline standard ensures smooth, friction-free operation and maintains servo accuracy across thousands of movement cycles. SAVOX's commitment to quality means every servo undergoes rigorous testing before leaving the factory, and you're protected by a comprehensive 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. The inclusion of Soft Start Mode technology prevents jarring, abrupt servo movements that could unsettle your RC vehicle during steering inputs, instead providing smooth, progressive response curves that feel natural and controllable.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between this brushless servo and standard brushed servos? — Brushless servos like the SB3262SG use electronic commutation instead of carbon brushes to switch motor coil polarity. This eliminates brush friction and wear, resulting in faster response times, improved durability, more consistent performance and a longer working lifespan. Brushless servos are the modern standard for high-performance RC racing applications.
  • What voltage should I run this servo at for best performance? — The servo operates safely from 6.0V to 8.4V. At 6.0V it delivers 305.5 oz-in (21.7kg-cm) with 0.1 second response time. At 7.4V (2S LiPo) it achieves 388.8 oz-in (28kg-cm) and 0.08 seconds. At 8.4V it reaches peak performance with 486.1 oz-in (35kg-cm) and 0.065 seconds. Most RC enthusiasts use 2S LiPo packs at 7.4V for an excellent balance of performance and battery longevity.
  • Is this servo suitable for beginners? — Yes, whilst this is a high-performance servo designed with competitive racing in mind, it is equally suitable for beginners and casual RC drivers. The brushless technology is reliable and maintenance-free, making it actually easier to use than older brush-type servos. The fast response and high torque make it forgiving for learning drivers as it provides excellent control authority.
  • What battery does this servo need? — This is a servo, not a motor or ESC, so it doesn't require a dedicated battery. It operates from the receiver battery voltage in your RC vehicle, which is typically a 2S LiPo pack at 7.4V or can be increased to 8.4V for peak performance. Ensure your receiver and servo are powered by the same battery system for consistent operation.
  • What is the 25-tooth spline and why does it matter? — The 25-tooth spline is the industry-standard servo horn connection used on most modern RC servos. This means you can use virtually any aftermarket servo horn designed for standard spline servos, giving you flexibility in choosing horn types and styles to match your specific RC setup and requirements.
  • How does the low-profile design benefit my RC car? — The compact 40.8 x 20.2 x 25.4mm dimensions allow the servo to fit into tight spaces within modern RC chassis designs, particularly in the confined steering compartments of competitive buggy, truggy and short-course truck frames. This enables cleaner installations with better weight distribution and lower centre of gravity.
  • Is this servo waterproof? — The servo is water-resistant, which means it can handle occasional moisture, light rain and splashing encountered during outdoor RC driving. However, it is not fully waterproof and should not be submerged in water. Water-resistant protection is sufficient for typical RC racing and bashing conditions.
  • What is Soft Start Mode? — Soft Start Mode is a SAVOX innovation that smooths out servo response curves at initial activation, preventing jerky, abrupt movements that can unsettle your RC vehicle. This provides a more controlled, natural-feeling steering input that many drivers prefer, particularly at the start of a race run or when making small directional corrections.
