Team Corally has established itself as a recognised leader in high-quality RC components, and the Kuron 825 exemplifies their dedication to precision engineering. The fixed timing configuration ensures optimal performance across your chosen battery voltage range, whilst the robust construction featuring quality ball bearings front and rear guarantees longevity through intensive use. This motor integrates seamlessly with modern ESC units via the standard 6.5mm bullet connector, making it straightforward to retrofit into existing setups or incorporate into new builds.
Key Features
- 4-Pole Rotor Brushless Design — The 4-pole rotor configuration delivers smooth acceleration and consistent power delivery throughout the RPM range, which is particularly valuable for competitive racing where predictable handling characteristics are essential. This design philosophy means drivers can trust the motor's behaviour whether accelerating from standstill or driving at maximum velocity.
- 2050 KV Rating for Multi-Battery Compatibility — With a 2050 KV specification, this motor excels on 2S through 6S lithium polymer battery packs, giving you exceptional flexibility when configuring your 1/8 scale RC vehicle. Whether you prefer the simplicity of 2S power or the raw performance of 6S, the Kuron 825 adapts perfectly to your chosen setup.
- Sensorless Brushless Technology — The absence of sensors simplifies the motor's construction and eliminates potential failure points, which means lower maintenance demands and greater reliability during extended racing sessions. Sensorless brushless motors have proven themselves as the industry standard for demanding applications.
- Fixed Timing Calibration — The fixed timing ensures consistent motor behaviour across different battery voltages, removing the need for complex timing adjustments and allowing drivers to focus on perfecting their driving technique rather than fiddling with technical settings.
- Quality Ball Bearing Construction — The front bearing measures 5x16x5mm whilst the rear bearing is 5x13x4mm with 695ZZ specification, both of which are precision components that ensure smooth rotor rotation and extended service life. Quality bearings are critical for maintaining motor efficiency and longevity.
- 12 AWG Motor Windings — The substantial 12 AWG wire gauge used in the motor windings provides excellent current handling capability and heat dissipation, which translates to sustained performance during intense racing without thermal throttling.
- Standard 6.5mm Bullet Connectors — The motor features industry-standard 6.5mm bullet connectors, ensuring compatibility with virtually all modern brushless ESC units available in the UK RC market. This compatibility eliminates connector adapter frustration.
- Compact 41mm Diameter Housing — The 41mm diameter allows the Kuron 825 to fit into various 1/8 scale vehicle designs without requiring chassis modifications, making it an easy upgrade for existing builds or a reliable choice for new construction.
- Versatile Vehicle Application — Engineered for 1/8 SCT (short course truck), 1/8 buggy, 1/8 truggy, 1/8 monster truck, and 1/8 GT rally game vehicles, this motor demonstrates its performance across different vehicle types and racing disciplines. One motor investment serves multiple build possibilities.
Technical Performance
The Corally Kuron 825 is engineered to exacting standards that serious RC racers recognise and trust. At 41mm in diameter and 74mm in length, the motor's compact footprint enables integration into modern vehicle designs without requiring extensive chassis modifications. The 5.0mm shaft diameter with an 18.5mm shaft length provides a standard interface for vehicle-specific pinion gears and drivetrain components. Mounted via M3/M4 holes spaced 25.4mm apart, installation into 1/8 scale chassis designs is straightforward and consistent across multiple vehicle platforms. The substantial 12 AWG wiring offers impressive current-carrying capacity, essential for delivering the high amperage that powerful 4WD and 2WD 1/8 vehicles demand at full throttle. With the ability to accept 2S through 6S lithium polymer battery packs, the 2050 KV specification positions the Kuron 825 in the performance-oriented segment of the motor market, suitable for competitive drivers seeking rapid acceleration and impressive top-speed capabilities. The 4-pole rotor design combined with precision ball bearings — 5x16x5mm at the front and 5x13x4mm with 695ZZ specification at the rear — ensures efficient energy conversion whilst maintaining the low friction essential for extended runtime and thermal stability. The brushless, sensorless architecture eliminates carbon brush wear and sensor calibration requirements, reducing maintenance overhead and improving overall reliability during intensive use. For UK RC enthusiasts building or upgrading 1/8 scale buggies, trucks, and specialty racing vehicles, the Kuron 825 represents a mature, proven motor platform that delivers consistent performance lap after lap, session after session.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the maximum RPM output of the Corally Kuron 825 motor? — The 2050 KV rating indicates that the motor produces 2050 revolutions per minute for each volt supplied. Maximum RPM is calculated by multiplying the KV value by your battery voltage; for example, running a 6S pack (22.2V nominal) would theoretically produce approximately 45,510 RPM at the motor shaft, though actual RPM will be slightly lower under load. This high speed capability suits drivers building performance-oriented 1/8 vehicles.
- Is the Corally Kuron 825 suitable for beginners to RC motoring? — The Kuron 825 is classified as a sport motor, which places it firmly in the intermediate-to-advanced category rather than beginner territory. Whilst the brushless, sensorless design is reliable and maintenance-friendly, the motor's high KV rating and performance characteristics are better suited to drivers with existing experience in 1/8 scale RC vehicles and brushless motor operation. Beginners are generally better served by lower KV motors offering more controlled power delivery.
- What battery voltage range does this motor require? — The Kuron 825 is compatible with lithium polymer battery packs ranging from 2S to 6S configuration. A 2S LiPo provides nominal 7.4V (approximately 15,000 RPM), whilst a 6S pack delivers 22.2V nominal (approximately 45,500 RPM). The fixed timing means the motor performs optimally across this entire voltage spectrum without requiring timing adjustments.
- Can I use this motor in my existing 1/8 scale buggy? — The Kuron 825 is explicitly designed for 1/8 SCT, 1/8 buggy, 1/8 truggy, 1/8 monster truck, and 1/8 GT rally game vehicles. The mounting holes (M3/M4 at 25.4mm spacing) align with standard 1/8 vehicle chassis designs, and the 5.0mm shaft accommodates standard pinion gears. Provided your vehicle uses the standard 6.5mm bullet connectors for the ESC, installation should be straightforward, though some vehicles may require a compatible motor mount or cooling fan depending on design.
- What makes brushless motors better than brushed motors for RC cars? — Brushless motors like the Kuron 825 offer several advantages over brushed alternatives: they generate significantly more power for their size, they run cooler due to superior efficiency, they require virtually no maintenance (no brush wear), they last considerably longer, and they deliver more predictable power characteristics. For serious RC car enthusiasts in the UK, brushless motors have become the standard for performance vehicles because these benefits combine to reduce operating costs and improve on-track consistency.
- Does this motor require any calibration or programming? — The sensorless brushless design with fixed timing requires no calibration, programming, or timing adjustments. Simply connect it to a compatible brushless ESC via the 6.5mm bullet connectors and it's ready to operate. This plug-and-play convenience is one of the significant advantages of sensorless brushless technology.
