Key Features

  • 6S LiPo Ready Power System — The SHIROI XP 6S is engineered from the ground up to support full 6S LiPo power, with a sensorless brushless motor and ESC pairing that unlocks tremendous torque and acceleration while maintaining excellent throttle control and consistency across all driving conditions. This means you can run 6S batteries for maximum performance or step down to 4S or 3S for more controlled, technical driving—genuine flexibility that adapts to your preferred driving style.
  • 3mm CNC-Machined Aluminium Chassis — The heart of the SHIROI is a precision-engineered 3mm anodised 6061-T6 aluminium chassis that combines exceptional rigidity with lightweight efficiency. This robust platform is reinforced with a tower-to-tower brace and tall composite side guards, creating a chassis structure that confidently handles high-speed launches, rough terrain, aggressive jumps, and demanding landings without flexing or distorting.
  • Bulletproof CNC Steel Drivetrain — A fully steel drivetrain with precision CNC-cut spur and pinion gears, hardened steel bevel gears, and triple fluid-filled differentials (one centre differential and two outdrives) ensures maximum efficiency, minimal drivetrain noise, and exceptional durability even during extended high-speed running or aggressive bashing sessions. The durable CVD driveshafts transmit power reliably to all four wheels with minimal vibration.
  • High-Performance Brushless Motor and ESC Combo — The Team Corally Kuron 825 brushless motor with 2050KV rating paired with the Torox 185 ESC creates a sensorless power system designed for massive torque delivery, excellent throttle response, and reliable cooling during extended driving sessions. This combination unlocks the full potential of 6S LiPo power whilst maintaining the control and predictability serious drivers demand.
  • Precision Servo Control — A CR-7225 metal-gear steering servo with 25kg torque is included factory-installed, delivering rapid, accurate steering response with the mechanical strength to handle the demands of high-speed cornering and technical track work. The metal gearing ensures durability and eliminates the slop and flex of plastic-gear alternatives.
  • Professional 2.4GHz Radio System — The included TC-CT2R 2.4GHz radio system provides reliable, interference-free communication with your truck across extensive distances, with multiple frequency options available and crystal-clear throttle and steering control thanks to the precision servo and ESC pairing.
  • Authentic Short Course Styling and Scale Details — The SHIROI doesn't just perform like a short course machine—it looks the part. The polycarbonate bodyshell features a molded roll cage interior, realistic roof rack, and aggressive front and rear bumpers that authentically reflect real-world short course racing trucks. Open wheel arches and detailed body lines give the SHIROI unmistakable off-road character that turns heads on the track or bashfield.
  • Race-Proven Suspension Geometry — Independent pillow ball front suspension and independent wishbone rear suspension provide predictable handling across all surfaces. The oversized aluminium threaded big-bore oil shocks with coil-over springs deliver exceptional damping characteristics and consistent response whether you're speed running, cornering technically, or landing high-impact jumps. Fully tunable spring and oil setups allow experienced drivers to dial suspension geometry for their specific driving style.
  • Scale-Correct Mudclaws SC Tyres — Custom-moulded Mudclaws SC tyres mounted on stylish black multi-spoke wheels deliver excellent grip across dirt, gravel, and sand whilst maintaining authentic short course proportions. • Full Ball Bearing Construction — All pivot points, differentials, and rotating components utilise full ball bearings with rubber seals, ensuring smooth operation, minimal friction, and extended component life even in sandy or dusty environments.
  • 4WD Shaft-Driven Drivetrain — The four-wheel-drive system with CVD driveshaft construction ensures power is distributed evenly to all four wheels, maximising traction on loose terrain whilst maintaining responsive, predictable handling characteristics that serious drivers appreciate.
  • Modular Layout for Easy Maintenance and Upgrades — The SHIROI's thoughtful engineering means maintenance is straightforward and component upgrades are seamless. Whether you need to adjust suspension geometry, replace a worn component, or upgrade to alternative electronics, the modular design and wide availability of parts through Team Corally's European distribution network ensure you're never stuck waiting for obscure components.

Technical Performance

The SHIROI XP 6S is engineered as a genuine performance machine that respects both speed and control. Powered by the Team Corally Kuron 825 brushless motor (2050KV, 4-pole) paired with the Torox 185 sensorless ESC, this combination delivers impressive acceleration and a top speed of 100km/h when running 6S LiPo power. The motor's 2050KV rating provides massive torque for climbing and launching whilst the 185A ESC capacity ensures you can utilise full power without throttling back, with excellent cooling characteristics during extended running sessions. The 4-pole brushless motor design delivers smooth power delivery and reduced noise compared to 2-pole alternatives, making it ideal for both racing and recreational bashing.

The chassis specification demonstrates serious engineering credentials: a 3mm anodised 6061-T6 aluminium frame provides the rigid backbone upon which all other systems mount, whilst the CNC-machined differential centres and hardened steel drivetrain gears withstand the stresses of 6S power without flexing, stripping, or wearing prematurely. The drive ratio specification (13:1 overall drive ratio with 3.31:1 internal ratio, 52-tooth spur gear and 13-tooth motor pinion) is perfectly calibrated to deliver the SHIROI's claimed 100km/h top speed whilst maintaining responsive acceleration and realistic throttle control characteristics. The triple fluid-filled differentials (one centre, two outdrives) are tuned to lock progressively during hard cornering or acceleration, providing the locked-in handling feel that short course racing demands.

Suspension performance is addressed through oversized 19mm diameter big-bore oil-filled shocks with 119mm front and 125mm rear lengths, providing exceptional damping consistency across the range of driving inputs from gentle cruising through to aggressive jumping and landing sequences. The independent pillow ball front suspension and wishbone rear suspension geometry provides the responsive feedback and predictable behaviour that allows drivers to build confidence progressively. With fully tunable spring and oil settings, the suspension can be precisely dialled for different driving conditions, whether you favour high-speed speed runs, technical track work, or general bashfield entertainment. The 70mm ground clearance provides plenty of clearance for moderate obstacles whilst maintaining low centre-of-gravity dynamics.

The vehicle specifications confirm SHIROI's 1/8 scale authenticity: 620mm length, 235mm height, 388mm wheelbase, and 315mm front and rear track width create proportions that genuinely resemble full-scale short course racing machines. At 5350g (before batteries), the SHIROI carries sufficient mass to feel planted and stable at speed whilst remaining light enough for responsive, athletic handling. The battery compartment (161x51x50mm) accommodates all common 2S, 3S, 4S, and 6S LiPo battery configurations, providing flexibility for different driving scenarios or progressive power upgrades as your skills develop.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the SHIROI XP 6S suitable for, and what skill level is required? — The SHIROI XP 6S is specified as intermediate skill level, making it ideal for drivers who've already experienced basic RC driving and are ready to step up to genuine performance equipment. The ready-to-run configuration means no building or initial assembly is required, and the responsive yet forgiving handling characteristics suit progression from simpler 2WD or brushed vehicles through to competitive driving. Beginners could operate the truck successfully, though the 6S power delivery and performance capabilities are better appreciated by drivers with some RC experience who can control the acceleration and speed responsibly.
  • What battery does the SHIROI XP 6S need, and what's the difference between 4S and 6S power? — The SHIROI XP 6S supports 3S, 4S, and full 6S LiPo power, offering genuine flexibility. A 4S LiPo battery (14.8V nominal) provides strong performance and is ideal for general bashing, technical driving, and learning—you'll reach perhaps 70-80km/h and get extended run times. A 6S LiPo battery (22.2V nominal) unlocks the truck's full potential, delivering the claimed 100km/h top speed and dramatic acceleration, though run times will be shorter due to higher power consumption. Many drivers keep both 4S and 6S batteries for different conditions: 6S for open areas and speed runs, 4S for technical track work or casual driving.
  • How does the SHIROI compare to other 1/8 scale short course trucks available in the UK? — The SHIROI XP 6S represents genuine value and capability. The complete factory electronics package (brushless motor, ESC, servo, radio) is competition-grade equipment ready to run immediately from the box, with no need for separate purchases or assembly. The CNC steel drivetrain, triple differentials, and precision suspension geometry are specification details normally found only on significantly more expensive platforms. The SHIROI delivers authentic short course racing styling that actually looks like the vehicles it represents, rather than generic RC styling, and the modular design means maintenance and upgrades are straightforward. Team Corally's racing heritage and worldwide distribution network ensure parts availability and technical support.
  • Can I upgrade or modify the SHIROI XP 6S electronics? — Absolutely. Whilst the factory electronics package is genuinely competitive, the modular design allows straightforward swaps if you prefer alternative motors, ESCs, or radio systems. The servo and receiver are independent components easily disconnected and replaced. Many drivers keep the factory setup for general driving and racing, knowing it's a proven, reliable combination that's been tested and validated by Team Corally's engineering team.
  • What's the top speed, and is it suitable for racing? — Team Corally specifies 100km/h top speed when running 6S LiPo power. This makes the SHIROI genuinely competitive for short course truck racing, where typical lap speeds and competition-grade equipment deliver similar performance figures. The precision steering servo, responsive ESC, and race-proven suspension geometry provide the handling characteristics necessary for technical racing. Many drivers use the SHIROI for competitive racing whilst others equally enjoy aggressive bashing—the truck's durability and modular design cope equally well with racing or recreational driving.
  • How long does the battery last per charge, and how long does charging take? — Run time varies based on your driving style, terrain, and battery capacity/configuration chosen. As a general guide, a 5000mAh 6S LiPo battery provides approximately 12-18 minutes of aggressive driving on flat, open terrain; technical track work or casual driving extends this to 20-25 minutes. Charging time depends on your charger: a quality 50-65W LiPo charger will fully charge a 5000mAh 6S battery in approximately 45-60 minutes. Many UK hobbyists invest in dual-channel chargers so they can charge multiple batteries simultaneously, minimising downtime between sessions.
  • Is the SHIROI waterproof, and can I drive it in wet conditions? — The SHIROI is not formally waterproofed or fully sealed. The electronics (motor, ESC, servo, receiver) will tolerate light rain or damp grass, but submersion or heavy water exposure risks damage, particularly to the radio receiver and servo. The vehicle performs excellently on wet grass or lightly damp terrain, but intentional water crossings or heavy rain driving should be avoided. After wet-condition driving, allow components to dry fully before recharging batteries.
  • Where can I find replacement parts and spares for the SHIROI XP 6S in the UK? — Team Corally maintains an extensive European distribution network, with parts readily available through authorised UK retailers and specialist RC suppliers. The modular design means individual components (shocks, suspension arms, differentials, body shells, bearings, tyres, etc.) are stocked and ship quickly. This availability of parts is a genuine advantage compared to more boutique or discontinued platforms where spares become difficult to source.
