Corally's reputation for meticulous engineering means you're investing in a component that will perform reliably through countless race meetings and practice sessions.
Key Features
- Swiss-Made 7075 T6 Aluminium Alloy — This is aerospace-grade material that offers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, crucial for competitive RC racing performance. The 7075 T6 specification means the aluminium has been heat-treated to maximum hardness, ensuring your chassis maintains its precise geometry even under extreme racing conditions and impacts.
- Hard Anodised Black Finish — The hard anodising process creates a protective oxide layer that resists corrosion, abrasion and damage from salt spray or moisture. This means your chassis will maintain its pristine appearance and structural integrity through countless race days, whether you're racing at indoor UK tracks or outdoor venues.
- 3mm Thickness Construction — This specific thickness has been calculated by Corally engineers to provide optimal rigidity without adding unnecessary weight to your RC car. The 3mm profile ensures the chassis won't flex under load, maintaining consistent handling characteristics throughout a race meeting.
- CNC-Machined Precision — Every single chassis is computer numerically controlled (CNC) machined to exacting tolerances. This means you get perfect dimensional accuracy, consistent hole placement, and surfaces that require no modification or adjustment—simply bolt it onto your Asuga XLR and get racing.
- Italian Manufacturing Excellence — Made in Italy by Team Corally, combining Swiss design precision with Italian production expertise. This is the kind of quality control that ensures every chassis performs identically to the last, crucial when you're competing against other drivers.
- Dedicated Asuga XLR Compatibility — This chassis is specifically engineered for the Corally Asuga XLR 6S platform, ensuring perfect fitment and performance integration with all factory components and upgrades designed for this racing system.
Technical Performance
The Corally Chassis Asuga XLR represents the cutting edge of RC chassis design and manufacturing. Constructed from 7075-T6 aluminium—the same material used in aircraft structures and high-performance engineering applications—this chassis delivers the rigidity and precision demanded by serious RC racers across the United Kingdom. The hard anodising treatment creates a protective surface layer that withstands constant impacts, vibration and environmental exposure without degrading performance or appearance. At 3mm thickness, this chassis strikes the perfect engineering balance: thick enough to resist flex and maintain consistent handling geometry at high speeds, yet optimised for weight distribution that keeps your RC car agile and responsive through corners. The CNC-machining process ensures every hole, edge and surface is produced to identical specifications, meaning you get the same precision fit and performance characteristics whether this is your first Asuga XLR chassis or your fifth. This level of consistency is what separates competitive-grade components from standard parts, and it's why serious RC racing drivers choose Corally equipment. The chassis is compatible with the full range of Corally Asuga XLR 6S models including RTR (Ready to Run) brushless versions and roller chassis platforms, making it an ideal upgrade for drivers looking to improve performance or replace damaged components.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which RC cars does the Corally Asuga XLR chassis fit? — This chassis is specifically designed for the Corally Asuga XLR 6S platform. It is compatible with multiple variants including the C-00288-B Corally Asuga XLR 6S RTR Brushless in Blue, C-00288-R in Red, C-00288-G in Green, plus the roller versions C-00488-B, C-00488-R, and C-00488-G. Check your RC car model number to confirm compatibility before ordering.
- What makes Swiss-made 7075 T6 aluminium better than standard aluminium? — 7075 T6 is aerospace-grade aluminium that's been heat-treated to maximum hardness and strength. It's significantly stronger and more durable than standard aluminium alloys, resists bending and maintains precise geometry under impact. This means your chassis stays true and performs consistently through an entire race meeting without flex or deformation.
- Is this a complete chassis or just a replacement part? — This is a dedicated chassis component designed as a tuning part or spare replacement for the Corally Asuga XLR 6S platform. It's not a complete car—you'll need a compatible Asuga XLR 6S model to use it. This is an upgrade for drivers who already own an Asuga XLR or serious racers building competition setups.
- What does hard anodising do and why does it matter? — Hard anodising is an electrochemical process that creates a protective oxide layer on the aluminium surface. This layer resists corrosion from salt spray, moisture and track chemicals, prevents abrasion from sand and debris, and protects against impact damage. The black finish also looks professional and is easier to keep clean than bare aluminium.
- Why is 3mm thickness important for RC chassis? — Chassis thickness is a critical engineering parameter in RC racing. At 3mm, this chassis provides optimal rigidity to prevent flex at high speeds, which would cause handling inconsistency and performance loss. Thicker chassis add unnecessary weight; thinner chassis flex too much. The 3mm specification is the result of Corally's engineering expertise to deliver the best balance.
- Will this chassis improve my lap times? — This is a precision-engineered component that ensures your Asuga XLR maintains consistent handling geometry and responsiveness. A quality chassis eliminates flex-related handling problems and ensures perfect component fitment, which translates to more predictable and faster performance on track. For serious competitive drivers, component quality directly impacts race results.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — This is not recommended for beginner RC enthusiasts. This is a premium tuning part designed for drivers who already understand RC racing fundamentals and are competing seriously. Beginners should start with complete ready-to-run RC cars and progress to upgrade components like this as their skills and knowledge develop.
- How do I know if my chassis needs replacement? — Visible cracks, bending, or flexing under load indicates a chassis needs replacement. If your RC car's handling has become inconsistent or unpredictable, and you've ruled out suspension and drivetrain issues, a damaged chassis could be the cause. A fresh Corally chassis will restore performance.
