Overview
The Corally Shock Shaft Rear Steel 2 Pcs (C-00140-073) is an essential replacement component for serious RC enthusiasts and competitive racers across the UK who demand precision engineering and durability in their RC cars. This premium rear shock shaft is manufactured from hardened steel, offering exceptional strength and longevity compared to composite alternatives. Whether you're running a Corally competition buggy, truggy, or monster truck, this replacement shock shaft ensures your suspension system maintains optimal performance lap after lap, whether you're racing on the track or bashing in the backyard.
As a critical suspension component, the shock shaft plays a vital role in transferring force from the shock absorber to your RC vehicle's chassis, directly affecting handling, ride height, and overall performance. The steel construction of this rear shock shaft provides superior durability and resistance to bending or deformation under extreme racing conditions, making it an ideal upgrade or replacement for RC car owners who want reliable, long-lasting suspension performance. For RC enthusiasts in the UK looking to maintain or upgrade their Corally models, this genuine OEM part guarantees compatibility and performance that aftermarket alternatives simply cannot match.
This 2-piece set gives you both rear shock shafts you need to fully service or replace the rear suspension on your Corally RC car, making it an economical choice for racers who want to keep spare parts on hand. Whether you're a seasoned competitor preparing for the next UK RC racing event or an experienced basher who puts serious miles on their machine, having quality replacement parts like these Corally shock shafts ensures your RC model stays in peak condition and ready for action.
Key Features
- Premium Steel Construction — The shock shafts are manufactured from hardened steel rather than composite materials, which provides significantly greater strength, rigidity, and resistance to bending or breaking under heavy use, particularly during aggressive driving or high-speed impacts.
- Genuine Corally OEM Part — As an official Team Corally component, this part is engineered to exact specifications and guaranteed to fit and function perfectly with your Corally RC vehicle, ensuring optimal suspension performance and longevity.
- Rear Position Specific — These shafts are specifically designed for rear suspension applications, with geometry and dimensions optimised for proper weight distribution, handling characteristics, and suspension response at the rear of your RC car.
- Pair of Two Shafts — The set includes two complete shock shafts, providing everything needed to fully service or replace the rear suspension system on most Corally models, or to keep as backup spares for ongoing maintenance.
- Compatible with Corally Suspension System — These shafts work seamlessly with Corally shock bushings (C-00140-067), shock ball joints (C-00140-069), shock pivot balls (C-00140-070), shock pistons (C-00140-072), and shock springs (C-00140-074 and C-00140-075), making them a core component of the complete Corally suspension architecture.
- Racing-Grade Durability — The steel material and precision manufacturing make these shafts suitable for both competitive track racing and intense off-road bashing, providing reliable performance in demanding conditions.
- Direct Replacement Component — If your current shock shafts are bent, cracked, or worn from extensive use, these genuine replacements restore your suspension to factory specifications and handling characteristics.
Technical Performance
The Corally Shock Shaft Rear Steel represents the engineering excellence you expect from Team Corally, one of the most respected names in precision RC car manufacturing. The use of hardened steel throughout the shaft construction provides exceptional resistance to the stresses and impacts that RC vehicles experience during competitive racing and recreational bashing. Unlike composite alternatives that can flex or develop micro-cracks under repeated stress, steel shafts maintain their structural integrity through thousands of impacts and load cycles. The rear-specific design ensures proper suspension geometry and weight transfer characteristics, which are critical for maintaining consistent handling, predictable turn-in response, and stable cornering at speed. For UK RC racers competing in national and regional championships, or dedicated bashers who push their vehicles to the limit, the reliability and performance characteristics of genuine Corally components like these rear shock shafts can be the difference between victory and mechanical failure. The precision manufacturing tolerances ensure smooth operation within the shock assembly, eliminating play or wobble that could compromise suspension responsiveness. When you upgrade to Corally shock shafts or replace worn originals, you're investing in proven suspension technology that has been validated through countless hours of competitive racing and demanding off-road use across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between steel and composite shock shafts for RC cars? — Steel shock shafts offer superior durability and strength compared to composite alternatives, with greater resistance to bending, cracking, or permanent deformation under heavy impacts and high loads. Composite shafts are lighter but more prone to damage during intense racing or bashing. Steel shafts are the preferred choice for competitive racers and experienced RC car owners who demand reliability and longevity from their components.
- Why would I need to replace my RC car's shock shafts? — Shock shafts can bend, crack, or wear out after extensive use, particularly if your RC car has been involved in hard impacts, crashes, or years of intensive racing and bashing. Signs of shaft damage include uneven ride height, handling inconsistencies, or visible bending. Replacing worn shafts restores your suspension to factory specifications and handling characteristics, improving overall vehicle performance and safety.
- Are these shafts only for racing, or can I use them for casual bashing? — These Corally rear shock shafts are suitable for both competitive track racing and recreational off-road bashing. The steel construction makes them ideal for aggressive driving styles and demanding conditions, whether you're competing in UK RC racing events or enjoying high-speed terrain bashing in local parks and off-road areas.
- How do I know these will fit my Corally RC car? — These shafts are genuine Team Corally OEM components designed specifically for Corally models. To verify compatibility, check your vehicle's model name and compare it to the Corally product range. If you're uncertain, consult the vehicle manual or contact the RC Model Shop team for compatibility confirmation before purchasing.
- Can I mix and match steel and composite shock components? — Yes, these steel shock shafts are compatible with other Corally shock components including composite bushings, ball joints, pivot balls, pistons, and springs. Mixing steel shafts with composite or other materials is a common practice and allows you to customise your suspension setup based on performance preferences and budget.
- What tools do I need to install these shock shafts? — Installation requirements depend on your specific Corally model, but typically you'll need basic RC maintenance tools such as hex key sets, small screwdrivers, and possibly a shock removal tool. Refer to your vehicle manual for detailed assembly instructions and torque specifications to ensure proper installation.
