The carbon fibre construction delivers the lightweight strength that modern RC racing demands, combining durability with minimal weight penalty—a crucial consideration when every gram matters in your 1/10-scale race car. This is the kind of precision component that separates dedicated RC enthusiasts who understand setup nuances from casual bashers, making it an essential item for anyone serious about their ready to run RC or semi-assembled race kit.
RC Model Shop stocks this genuine Team Associated part as part of our comprehensive range of spares and upgrades for the RC10 series. Whether you're replacing a damaged component or fine-tuning your setup for competition, you can trust that you're getting an authentic, factory-quality part backed by over two decades of Team Associated's racing heritage and innovation in the 1/10-scale RC buggy world.
Key Features
- +1mm Steering Arm Specification — The +1mm offset provides a specific geometry configuration that adjusts your model's Ackermann steering geometry, enabling you to fine-tune how your RC car responds to steering input and how quickly it turns into corners, which is essential for competitive track racing and setup optimisation.
- Carbon Fibre Construction — The carbon fibre material combines exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, meaning this steering arm is rigid enough to maintain accurate geometry under the stresses of high-speed cornering while weighing significantly less than alternative materials, which directly improves your model's overall performance and handling balance.
- Genuine Team Associated Part — This is an official, factory-authorised component manufactured to exact Team Associated specifications, ensuring perfect fitment, consistent quality, and compatibility with your RC10-series model, eliminating any guesswork about part authenticity or quality standards.
- Easy Identification and Spares Management — The branded carbon fibre finish with clear identification makes this part instantly recognisable in your spares box or workshop, helping you keep track of your upgrade components and ensuring you always reach for the correct specification when you need to swap parts or rebuild your model.
- Straightforward Installation — No complicated modifications or special tools required; this steering arm simply replaces the existing component on your RC10-series model, making it an ideal upgrade or repair option for anyone from beginners to experienced tuners seeking a clean, consistent setup.
- Broad RC10 Series Compatibility — This component fits multiple models within the Team Associated RC10 family, making it a versatile addition to your spares collection whether you run the T6.2, SC6.2, B6.3, B6.4, or any of the newer T6.4, SC6.4, B7, or T7 variants.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated RC10T6.2 Steering Arm represents precision engineering at its finest in the 1/10-scale touring car category. Carbon fibre has become the material of choice for competitive RC racing because it offers the perfect balance of characteristics that modern racing demands: exceptional rigidity to maintain precise steering geometry under the intense cornering forces generated during high-speed racing, combined with minimal weight that contributes to better overall weight distribution and acceleration characteristics in your 1/10-scale RC model. The +1mm specification refers to the offset distance of the steering arm, which directly influences your model's Ackermann steering geometry—this is the relationship between the steering angles of the front wheels and how they converge when turning. Getting this specification correct is crucial for achieving predictable, responsive steering that feels natural and allows you to carry speed through corners. Team Associated has engineered this component to work seamlessly with the sophisticated suspension and steering geometry of the RC10T6.2 touring car platform, which is recognised worldwide as one of the most competitive 1/10-scale touring car platforms available. The precision manufacturing ensures that this steering arm maintains exact geometric tolerances lap after lap, race after race, without deformation or play developing over time—a critical requirement in competitive RC racing where thousandths of an inch differences can affect performance. Whether you're running this on a local club track in the UK or testing on your private practice surface, this component will provide the reliability and consistency you need to focus on driving rather than worrying about equipment performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which Team Associated RC models does this +1mm steering arm fit? — This steering arm is compatible with an extensive range of Team Associated 1/10-scale models including the RC10T6.2, RC10SC6.2, RC10B6.3, RC10B6.3D, RC10B6.4, RC10B6.4D, RC10T6.4, RC10SC6.4, RC10B7, RC10B7D, RC10T7, RC10SC7, RC10B7.1, and RC10B7.1D, making it a versatile component for anyone with multiple Team Associated models in their collection.
- Why would I need a +1mm steering arm instead of the standard specification? — The steering arm offset affects your model's Ackermann geometry and steering response. Switching from standard to +1mm adjusts how quickly your RC car turns and how it feels through corners, allowing experienced tuners to fine-tune their setup to match track conditions, driving style, or specific racing requirements.
- Is this part suitable for beginners or only experienced racers? — While this is an advanced tuning component typically chosen by experienced competitors, beginners can absolutely use it as a direct replacement part if they need to repair damage to their RC10-series model—simply install it and it will work exactly like the original component it replaces.
- What makes carbon fibre better than other steering arm materials? — Carbon fibre offers superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to plastic or aluminium, meaning it won't bend or flex under the cornering forces generated during racing, maintaining your steering geometry precisely, whilst adding minimal weight that could slow acceleration or affect handling balance.
- Will this steering arm work if I have other aftermarket parts on my RC car? — Yes, this is a standard geometry component that works with any configuration of other Team Associated parts; as long as you're using it on a compatible RC10-series model, it will integrate seamlessly with your existing setup, whether you're running all standard parts or a heavily modified racing configuration.
- How long does this steering arm last before needing replacement? — Carbon fibre is extremely durable and won't wear out under normal use; you'll only need to replace it if it sustains impact damage or if you want to experiment with a different geometry offset for tuning purposes.
