Overview
The Team Associated TC8 Shock Ball Ends and Spring Cups (AS32076) are essential replacement components for maintaining your RC car's suspension system in peak condition. Whether you're a dedicated racer, weekend basher, or an RC enthusiast in the UK looking to keep your Team Associated TC8 running smoothly, these genuine manufacturer parts deliver the reliability and precision you need. Small but critical components, shock ball ends and spring cups are subject to wear through regular use, and replacing them is a straightforward way to restore your suspension's responsiveness and ensure consistent ride height across practice sessions and race days.
As an authorised Team Associated dealer, RC Model Shop supplies only genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, ensuring perfect compatibility with your TC8 Graphite-Spec model. These are not aftermarket alternatives or generic substitutes—they are the exact components specified by Team Associated engineers to work seamlessly with your vehicle's suspension geometry and performance characteristics. Whether you're performing routine maintenance, refreshing your pit-box setup between events, or repairing damage from a crash, the AS32076 shock ball ends and spring cups are the correct choice for your TC8.
Suspension maintenance is one of the most overlooked aspects of RC car ownership in the UK, yet it directly impacts handling, consistency, and durability. By replacing worn ball ends and spring cups, you'll notice improved shock action, more predictable cornering behaviour, and better overall vehicle control. These components work together to transmit suspension forces efficiently, so keeping them fresh is a wise investment in your RC car's longevity and performance.
Key Features
- Genuine Team Associated OEM Parts — These are authentic manufacturer-produced components, not aftermarket copies, ensuring they meet exact Team Associated quality standards and specifications for your TC8 Graphite-Spec model. Using genuine parts eliminates compatibility guesswork and guarantees proper fit and function.
- Complete Ball Ends and Spring Cup Set — The AS32076 includes both shock ball ends and spring retaining cups in a single package, so you have all the components needed for full suspension restoration without ordering multiple part numbers separately.
- Direct TC8 Graphite-Spec Compatibility — This set is specifically designed for the Team Associated TC8 Graphite-Spec platform, ensuring precision fit and optimal suspension performance on your exact vehicle variant without modification or adjustment.
- Restoration of Shock Performance — Over time, ball ends wear, and spring cups degrade, leading to loose, unpredictable suspension action and inconsistent ride height. Replacing these components restores tight, responsive shock geometry and consistent performance lap after lap.
- Essential Pit-Box Maintenance Part — Whether you're competing at local UK RC clubs or practising at your local track, keeping spare shock ball ends and spring cups on hand allows you to quickly refresh your suspension between heats and maintain competitive reliability.
- Small but Critical Components — Though compact, these parts are central to your suspension system's function, directly affecting steering response, cornering speed, and overall vehicle handling on both carpet and outdoor surfaces.
- Supports Reliable Handling and Durability — Fresh ball ends and spring cups reduce friction in the suspension linkage, lower shock seal stress, and help prevent premature wear of other suspension components, extending the life of your entire shock assembly.
Technical Performance
The shock ball ends and spring cups are precision-engineered suspension components manufactured to exacting Team Associated tolerances. Ball ends serve as the connection points between shock shafts and suspension arms, allowing precise articulation while maintaining structural rigidity. Spring cups sit atop shock springs, distributing spring force evenly and retaining the spring position under compression and extension cycles. Both components are subject to significant stress during cornering, braking, and acceleration, and material fatigue or wear develops naturally through use. Team Associated engineers specify exact material compositions and hardness levels for these parts to ensure they perform reliably across different track conditions and driving styles. The AS32076 set is manufactured to match the original specifications of your TC8 Graphite-Spec, ensuring that suspension geometry, spring preload, and shock action remain true. Proper installation requires following the assembly steps outlined in your TC8 kit manual, and regular inspection of suspension hardware is recommended to catch wear early and maintain consistent performance. By replacing ball ends and spring cups when they show signs of wear—such as play in the joint, visible damage, or inconsistent ride height—you ensure that your shock absorbers function as designed, providing the feedback and consistency necessary for confident driving on any track surface across the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which Team Associated RC cars are the AS32076 compatible with? — These shock ball ends and spring cups are specifically designed for and compatible with the Team Associated TC8 Graphite-Spec model. Always verify the part number (AS32076) matches your manual and vehicle before ordering to ensure correct fitment.
- How often should I replace shock ball ends and spring cups on my RC car? — Replacement frequency depends on usage intensity, track surface, and driving style. Racers typically replace these components more frequently than recreational drivers. Inspect them regularly during pit-box maintenance; if you notice play in the joints, visible cracks, or wear, replacement is recommended. Keeping spares on hand is a smart strategy for any serious RC enthusiast in the UK.
- Are these parts difficult to install? — Installation is straightforward for anyone with basic RC maintenance experience. The process involves removing old components and fitting new ones using standard RC tools. Your TC8 kit manual includes detailed assembly instructions; following these step-by-step ensures proper installation and optimal suspension performance.
- What makes genuine Team Associated parts better than aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine OEM parts are manufactured to exact Team Associated specifications, tested for quality and consistency, and guaranteed to fit and function as intended. Aftermarket alternatives may offer cost savings but often lack precision tolerancing, leading to inconsistent performance and potential compatibility issues. For competitive racing or serious hobbyists, genuine parts deliver reliability and peace of mind.
- Can I use these parts on other Team Associated models? — No, suspension components are model-specific due to differences in shock geometry, arm angles, and suspension design across different platforms. The AS32076 is engineered exclusively for the TC8 Graphite-Spec; using them on other models may result in poor fit or suspension misalignment. Always use the correct part number for your vehicle.
- Why is suspension maintenance important for RC car performance? — Suspension is the foundation of handling, consistency, and durability in RC cars. Worn ball ends and spring cups introduce play and unpredictability into your suspension system, degrading steering response, cornering speed, and overall vehicle control. Fresh components maintain tight geometry and smooth shock action, directly improving lap times and driving enjoyment.
