Overview
The Team Associated TC8 Anti-Roll Bar Set (AS32036) is an essential tuning component for any serious RC touring car enthusiast in the UK. Whether you're racing competitively or simply looking to fine-tune your RC car's handling characteristics, this genuine Team Associated spare part provides the precision setup adjustments needed to achieve consistent, predictable performance on any track. The 1.0–1.4mm range gives you genuine flexibility to adapt your vehicle's roll stiffness to match your driving style and track conditions, making it an indispensable addition to any serious RC competitor's spares box.
Anti-roll bars, also known as sway bars or stabiliser bars, are fundamental suspension components that control how much your RC touring car's chassis leans during cornering. By adjusting the stiffness of these bars, you can dramatically alter your vehicle's handling balance and grip characteristics. This makes the TC8 Anti-Roll Bar Set perfect for anyone who wants to move beyond basic driving and start exploring the deeper aspects of RC car setup and tuning. From casual weekend racers to dedicated competitors preparing for RC car club events, having multiple anti-roll bar options allows you to experiment and optimise your chassis behaviour without needing to purchase entirely new suspension components.
As a genuine Team Associated part specifically designed for the TC8 platform, this anti-roll bar set offers dependable fit and quality that aftermarket alternatives simply cannot match. When you're fine-tuning an RC touring car, every millimetre counts, and using authentic Associated components ensures your setup changes deliver predictable results. The TC8 remains one of the most popular 1/10 scale touring car platforms in the UK market, and this spare part is essential for anyone serious about maximising their vehicle's potential on the track.
Key Features
- 1.0–1.4mm Anti-Roll Bar Range — This comprehensive range allows you to fine-tune your TC8's roll stiffness with precision, giving you multiple setup options to match different driving styles, track surfaces and weather conditions. Softer bars (1.0–1.2mm) generally allow more chassis roll and increase mechanical grip through the tyres, whilst stiffer bars (1.3–1.4mm) help keep your car flatter through turns and can improve aerodynamic stability at higher speeds.
- Genuine Team Associated Component — As an authentic Associated part rather than an aftermarket alternative, this anti-roll bar set guarantees proper fitment and quality assurance. Using genuine spares ensures your setup adjustments deliver consistent, predictable results and maintains the integrity of your RC car's engineering.
- Precise Handling Tuning — Anti-roll bars directly influence how your TC8 responds in corners, affecting everything from initial turn-in response to mid-corner stability and exit grip. With this set on hand, you can systematically dial in the perfect balance between speed and control for your preferred driving technique.
- Track Condition Adaptation — Different track surfaces demand different setup approaches. Softer bars work better on bumpy or low-grip surfaces where additional mechanical grip helps, whilst stiffer bars excel on smooth, high-grip tracks where maintaining a flat, stable chassis improves overall performance.
- Competition-Grade Quality — This is the same component trusted by serious RC touring car racers and Team Associated competitors worldwide, reflecting decades of engineering expertise and real-world track testing by professional RC drivers.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated TC8 Anti-Roll Bar Set represents the culmination of careful engineering specifically tailored to the TC8 touring car platform. The 1.0–1.4mm range provides five distinct stiffness options (1.0mm, 1.1mm, 1.2mm, 1.3mm and 1.4mm), allowing incremental adjustments that can noticeably affect your RC car's behaviour. Understanding anti-roll bar tuning is fundamental to modern touring car setup: softer bars permit greater vertical wheel articulation and allow the chassis to roll more freely, which increases the mechanical grip available through the suspension geometry and tyre contact patch—particularly beneficial on bumpy or lower-grip surfaces. Conversely, stiffer bars resist chassis roll, keeping your car flatter during cornering and improving aerodynamic performance whilst potentially sacrificing some mechanical grip on challenging surfaces. The TC8 platform, whether you're running the Graphite-Spec or Steel-Spec version, benefits enormously from having multiple anti-roll bar options available, as track conditions, ambient temperature and driving technique all influence the optimal setup choice. Team Associated's engineering ensures that each stiffness option within the 1.0–1.4mm range delivers consistent performance characteristics, allowing you to make meaningful, predictable changes to your vehicle's handling without unexpected surprises. This level of precision is what separates genuine factory components from cheaper aftermarket alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is an anti-roll bar and why do I need one for my RC touring car? — An anti-roll bar (also called a sway bar or stabiliser bar) is a suspension component that resists your RC car's chassis from rolling during cornering. By controlling how much your car leans in turns, the anti-roll bar directly affects handling balance, grip and stability. Having multiple stiffness options allows you to adapt your setup to different track surfaces, weather conditions and your personal driving style, making it essential for serious touring car competitors.
- What is the difference between soft (1.0–1.2mm) and stiff (1.3–1.4mm) anti-roll bars? — Softer anti-roll bars allow more chassis roll, which increases mechanical grip through suspension geometry changes and gives you more feedback from the track—ideal for bumpy surfaces or low-grip conditions. Stiffer bars keep your chassis flatter during cornering, improving aerodynamic performance and mid-corner stability, making them better suited to smooth, high-grip tracks and higher-speed sections.
- Will this anti-roll bar set improve my RC car's performance? — The anti-roll bar set itself doesn't add horsepower or speed, but by allowing you to fine-tune your chassis balance, it can significantly improve your lap times and consistency through better handling. Many RC racers find that experimenting with anti-roll bar stiffness reveals their vehicle's true performance potential and helps identify the optimal setup for their driving technique.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst anti-roll bar tuning is more advanced than basic RC car operation, beginners absolutely benefit from owning this set as they develop their skills. Starting with a softer bar (1.0–1.1mm) provides more forgiveness, and as you improve, progressively stiffer options help you explore higher-performance driving techniques.
- Which anti-roll bar stiffness should I start with? — Most UK track conditions and general touring car driving benefit from starting with a middle-of-the-road option around 1.2mm. From there, if your car feels too loose and unpredictable in corners, try a stiffer bar (1.3–1.4mm). If it feels sluggish or unresponsive, experiment with softer options (1.0–1.1mm). Track testing is the best teacher.
- Are these compatible with both TC8 Graphite-Spec and Steel-Spec models? — Yes, this anti-roll bar set is confirmed compatible with both TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec versions, making it a versatile upgrade for any TC8 platform user.
- What is the difference between this and similar anti-roll bar sets from other manufacturers? — As a genuine Team Associated component, this set is engineered specifically for the TC8 platform with precise tolerances and materials matched to the rest of your chassis. Whilst aftermarket alternatives may be cheaper, they often lack the quality assurance and performance consistency of factory Team Associated parts, potentially leading to unpredictable handling changes.
