These are the exact parts Team Associated engineers designed for your TC8, manufactured to maintain the tight tolerances and responsive feel that makes the TC8 such a competitive platform in the RC touring car UK community.
Whether you're a seasoned RC racer preparing for competition or a dedicated hobbyist who wants to maintain their TC8 in peak condition, the AS32018 ballstud mounts represent genuine OEM quality you can trust. Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the purpose of steering block ballstud mounts on my TC8? — The ballstud mounts are the connection points within your steering block that hold the ballstuds, which in turn connect to the steering linkage. They're critical components that directly affect steering precision, response, and overall handling characteristics. When these mounts wear or become damaged, replacing them helps restore your steering feel to factory specifications.
- How do I know when my ballstud mounts need replacing? — Signs of worn ballstud mounts include notchy or unpredictable steering response, increased play in the steering system, or visible wear on the mounts themselves. If you've had a significant crash or are doing routine maintenance on your TC8, fresh mounts are always a worthwhile investment in pit spares.
- Are these ballstud mounts compatible with both TC8 specifications? — Yes, these AS32018 ballstud mounts are designed to fit both the TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec variants, making them a versatile spare part if you're running either specification of the Team Associated TC8.
- Why should I buy genuine Team Associated parts instead of aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine OEM parts from Team Associated are engineered and tested to work perfectly with your TC8, ensuring exact fitment, proper tolerance, and consistent performance. Aftermarket parts may introduce fitment inconsistencies that compromise steering precision, especially important in competitive touring car racing.
- Can these ballstud mounts be upgraded or replaced with aftermarket options? — While aftermarket options exist, the genuine Team Associated AS32018 ballstud mounts are designed specifically by the engineers who created the TC8, ensuring they maintain the steering characteristics and tolerances you expect from your vehicle. For consistent, predictable performance, genuine parts are the best choice.
- Should I replace both front and rear ballstud mounts at the same time? — It depends on whether both sets show wear. However, many experienced TC8 racers stock both front and rear ballstud mount sets in their pit box to be prepared for any eventuality on race day. Consult your TC8 manual for specific guidance on which mounts service which steering assembly locations.
