If you're building or maintaining a serious 1/10 scale RC buggy in the UK, these OEM steering blocks are exactly what you need to ensure your chassis performs at its best. Whether you're a competitive racer looking to refresh worn components or an enthusiast building your SR7 from the ground up, these aluminium steering blocks deliver the durability and dependability that comes with genuine Team Associated parts.
As an authorised RC car dealer in the UK, RC Model Shop stocks genuine Team Associated spares and upgrades for the SR7 and related platforms. These steering blocks represent the kind of quality upgrade that serious RC buggy drivers choose when they want to maintain or improve their vehicle's handling characteristics. The blue aluminium construction stands out visually whilst providing the structural integrity needed for consistent steering response, whether you're racing on tarmac, dirt tracks, or challenging off-road terrain.
Steering blocks are critical components in any RC buggy's front suspension geometry. They directly affect how your vehicle responds to steering input, and using genuine OEM parts ensures compatibility with your SR7's suspension linkages and overall design. When your current steering blocks show wear or you're upgrading your suspension setup, these Factory Team blocks are the recommended choice for maintaining the precise engineering that Team Associated built into the SR7 platform.
Key Features
- Genuine Factory Team Components — These are official Team Associated parts, not aftermarket substitutes, which means they are engineered and tested to work perfectly with your SR7. Using genuine OEM parts ensures perfect fitment, optimal performance, and compatibility with your existing suspension geometry and steering linkages.
- Durable Aluminium Construction — The blue aluminium material provides an excellent balance of strength and lightweight performance, reducing unsprung weight whilst maintaining the rigidity needed for precise steering control. Aluminium is also more resistant to corrosion than steel, making these blocks reliable for long-term use in various weather conditions across the UK.
- Precision Engineering — As Factory Team parts, these steering blocks are manufactured to exact specifications that match the original design, ensuring your SR7's steering geometry remains consistent and predictable. This precision is essential for maintaining responsive handling and accurate steering feedback during racing or recreational driving.
- Easy Maintenance and Replacement — Whether you're performing routine maintenance or replacing worn components, these steering blocks provide a straightforward upgrade path. The part fits seamlessly into your SR7's front-end assembly, requiring no modifications or adjustments to other components.
- SR7 Specific Compatibility — These blocks are designed specifically for the SR7 platform, eliminating any guesswork about fitment. You can reference your SR7 official parts lists and manuals to confirm compatibility, making the installation process simple and error-free.
Technical Performance
The SR7 FT Steering Blocks represent the engineering standard you'd expect from Team Associated, a manufacturer with decades of experience building competitive RC buggies. Crafted from blue aluminium, these steering blocks combine lightweight construction with the rigidity required to maintain precise steering angles under load. The aluminium material choice is deliberate: it reduces unsprung weight at the front of your buggy, improving suspension response and overall handling dynamics, whilst the material's natural strength ensures the blocks won't flex or deform during aggressive steering inputs or high-speed cornering. The dimensions and geometry are engineered to match the SR7's suspension kinematics perfectly, meaning your Ackermann geometry, caster angle, and toe-in settings will remain optimised exactly as Team Associated designed them. These are the same steering blocks used in Factory Team racing builds, so you can be confident they'll perform reliably whether you're competing in local club races or simply enjoying spirited recreational driving with fellow RC enthusiasts across the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these genuine Team Associated parts or aftermarket copies? — These are genuine Factory Team components manufactured by Team Associated. They carry the official part number AS26077 and UPC 784695260771, confirming they are authentic OEM parts. When you buy from RC Model Shop, you receive the real deal with full confidence in quality and compatibility.

You can cross-reference them with your SR7 official parts manual using the part number AS26077 to confirm compatibility with your specific build.
- What makes aluminium steering blocks better than other materials? — Aluminium offers an optimal combination of lightweight construction and structural rigidity. Compared to plastic alternatives, aluminium blocks won't flex under load, maintaining precise steering geometry. Compared to steel, aluminium reduces unsprung weight, which improves suspension response and overall handling. The blue anodised finish also provides corrosion resistance for durability in the UK's variable weather conditions.
- When should I replace my steering blocks? — Steering blocks should be inspected regularly for signs of wear, cracks, or bending. If you notice inconsistent steering response, play in the steering linkage, or visible damage to your current blocks, replacement is necessary. Even if your blocks aren't damaged, upgrading to genuine Factory Team aluminium blocks can improve your SR7's overall performance and reliability.
- Do I need any special tools to install these steering blocks? — Standard RC car tools and hex drivers should be sufficient for installation. As these are OEM parts, they integrate into your SR7's assembly without modifications. Consult your SR7 manual for detailed installation instructions and torque specifications.
- What is the product status of these blocks? — These steering blocks carry an Active product status with Team Associated, meaning they are current production parts fully supported by the manufacturer. You won't be buying obsolete stock or components that are being phased out.
