Overview
The Associated Reflex 14B/14T Servo Saver Spring (AS21506) is an essential replacement component for RC enthusiasts who operate the Reflex 14B or Reflex 14T models. This precision-engineered servo saver spring is designed to restore smooth, reliable operation within the steering saver mechanism, ensuring your RC car UK setup maintains consistent performance during intense driving sessions. Whether you're bashing through rough terrain or competing on the track, a functioning servo saver spring is critical to protecting your servo from damage and maintaining predictable steering response through impacts and collisions.
For RC hobbyists in the UK who demand reliability and performance from their equipment, this OEM replacement spring from Associated represents the genuine parts solution for maintaining your Reflex platform. The servo saver assembly plays a vital role in RC car performance by absorbing steering impacts that would otherwise transmit directly to your servo, potentially causing mechanical failure or loss of control. When your existing spring becomes worn or weakened through regular use, replacing it with the authentic AS21506 component ensures your steering saver continues to function at peak efficiency, protecting both your equipment investment and your driving experience.
RC Model Shop stocks this genuine Associated spare part, making it easy for UK RC car enthusiasts to source the exact component they need for routine maintenance or repair. Part number AS21506 provides easy reference and helps you maintain organised spare parts inventory for your RC car collection, ensuring you always have the correct replacement on hand when needed.
Key Features
- OEM Replacement Component — This is a genuine Associated factory part manufactured to exact specifications, ensuring perfect compatibility and reliability compared to aftermarket alternatives or generic springs that may not provide the correct tension or performance characteristics.
- Servo Saver Spring Design — The spring is specifically engineered for the servo saver assembly, designed to absorb steering impacts and protect your servo from mechanical damage whilst maintaining smooth steering control during high-impact driving situations.
- Reflex 14B Compatibility — Perfectly suited for the popular Associated Reflex 14B brushless 2WD buggy, this spring restores the steering mechanism to factory performance specifications when the original component has weakened through use.
- Reflex 14T Compatibility — Also engineered for the Reflex 14T model, providing users of either platform with a single, reliable replacement option for their servo saver spring needs.
- Restores Smooth Operation — A worn or weakened spring compromises steering behaviour and protection; this replacement component restores the servo saver to full effectiveness, supporting consistent steering response during every drive session.
- Easy Installation — As a direct replacement spring component, installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with basic RC car maintenance, requiring no special tools or technical expertise beyond standard RC knowledge.
- Supports Consistent Steering Behaviour — By maintaining proper spring tension in the servo saver assembly, this component helps ensure your RC car maintains predictable steering response through impacts and collisions, enhancing both safety and driving enjoyment.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this servo saver spring fit my Reflex 14B? — Yes, the AS21506 is specifically designed as a replacement component for the Associated Reflex 14B, engineered to match the exact specifications and performance characteristics of the original factory component. This is a genuine OEM part that restores your servo saver assembly to factory specification.
- How do I know if my servo saver spring needs replacing? — If your steering feels mushy or unresponsive after impacts, or if your servo seems to be taking damage from steering hits more frequently than before, your servo saver spring may be weakened. A worn spring loses its tension and ability to absorb steering impacts effectively, which is the primary indicator that replacement is needed.
- Is this suitable for both competitive racing and casual bashing? — Absolutely. Whether you use your Reflex 14B or 14T for competitive racing or recreational bashing around your garden or local RC car track in the UK, this servo saver spring component is essential to maintaining consistent performance and protecting your servo from damage in either use case.
- What is the difference between a servo saver spring and other steering components? — The servo saver spring specifically absorbs impact forces in the steering mechanism, protecting your servo from mechanical damage whilst maintaining steering response. Unlike other steering components that primarily control direction, the servo saver spring provides protection and damping, making it a critical wear item that requires periodic replacement as part of routine RC car maintenance.
- How long does a servo saver spring typically last? — Lifespan depends on driving intensity, frequency of impacts, and surface conditions. Regular recreational drivers might replace this component annually or every 12-18 months, whilst competitive racers may need replacement more frequently. Keeping spare AS21506 springs on hand ensures you're never without this critical component when yours needs replacing.
- Do I need any special tools to install this spring? — Installation typically requires only basic RC car maintenance skills and standard tools you likely already have. Refer to your Associated Reflex 14B or 14T manual for specific installation instructions, or contact RC Model Shop for guidance if you're uncertain about the installation procedure.
