Key Features
- KV1800 Brushless Motor with Water Cooling — The KV1800 brushless motor delivers the raw horsepower essential for extreme 50km/h speed whilst maintaining complete reliability that UDIRC is recognised for. Cooling water is routed through a unique sealed motor jacket that allows water to flow directly against the motor windings for maximum heat transfer, ensuring the ARROW keeps its cool run after run for trouble-free all-day fun on the water.
- Innovative Water-Cooled Marine ESC — This is not a standard ESC repurposed for water use. The marine ESC features integrated water cooling and a heat sink specifically designed for aquatic environments. It includes built-in low-voltage detection for battery protection, thermal overload protection to prevent damage from sustained high-speed runs, voltage overload protection, locked rotor protection, and throttle neutral setting protection — a comprehensive suite of safeguards for worry-free operation.
- UA13 Radio System with Extended Range — The 2.4GHz radio system arrives with a full complement of tuning features and delivers long-range, high-output signal control at approximately 120 metres. Dual protection includes a low battery alarm and out of range alarm, allowing you to monitor the boat's status at all times and avoid loss or unexpected disconnection.
- Stability Management Receiver with Security — This advanced technology makes it possible to experience all the extreme power, speed, and acceleration engineered into the ARROW whilst maintaining full controllability in water conditions. When you punch the throttle, the receiver senses the boat's direction and makes automatic steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full-throttle acceleration without loss of control. The system works invisibly in the background during turns, making intuitive corrections to maintain your line whilst allowing you to hammer the throttle earlier for much faster exit speeds. UDIRC engineers developed superior tuning algorithms running on high-speed, precision electronic components — the system never limits throttle and can be fine-tuned for different water conditions using the multi-function knob on the transmitter.
- Modern Reinforced ABS Hull — The ARROW's clean hull design is built up in multiple layers for maximum rigidity where it matters most. Lightweight yet incredibly strong, the ABS hull is designed to withstand the stress of high-voltage brushless horsepower without the weight penalty of fibreglass construction. The transom bulkhead incorporates integrated bosses for the battery compartment, turn servo, ESC, and drive strut, eliminating the need for additional internal hardware.
- Self-Righting Hull Design — The hull is engineered to turn over on demand if it ever flips, a critical safety feature for RC boat operation that allows you to recover the boat quickly and continue your session without lengthy downtime.
- High-Torque Waterproof Servo — The ARROW demands a powerful steering servo for responsive performance, and UDIRC delivers with a high-torque waterproof servo. The integrated shell makes the steering gear completely waterproof, eliminating concerns about water ingress affecting steering precision.
- Double Boat Cover Waterproof Design — The boat features enhanced waterproof design with a double boat cover that provides superior water protection throughout the hull and all internal components, extending the lifespan of electronics and mechanical parts.
- High/Low Speed Mode — The transmitter offers selectable speed modes, allowing you to reduce top speed for learning, safer operation in tight spaces, or controlled cruising, then unleash full performance when you're ready for high-speed blasts.
- Complete Ready to Run Package — Everything you need is included: the fully assembled boat with integrated ESC and motor, a 2.4GHz transmitter, rechargeable 2200mAh 3S LiPo battery, AC/DC charger, and comprehensive maintenance tools. Simply add four AA batteries to the transmitter and you're ready to launch.
Technical Performance
The UDI RC ARROW 65cm brushless RC boat delivers genuine high-performance engineering. Measuring 645mm in length with a 170mm beam and standing 110mm tall, the boat weighs just 1233 grammes — a lightweight figure that contributes to its remarkable acceleration and speed. The deep-V hull features a 23-degree dead rise angle, a hull design proven in offshore RC boating to maintain stability and control even at extreme speeds whilst reducing porpoising and maintaining a level attitude through turns. The KV1800 brushless motor, measuring 73mm in length and 34.5mm in diameter, generates output that pushes the boat to 40-50km/h depending on water conditions, wind, and load. The motor is powered by a 3S lithium polymer battery providing 11.1 volts nominal with 2200mAh capacity, a standard size that balances run time (approximately 7 minutes at full throttle) with weight and performance. The marine ESC accepts input from 3S LiPo cells and manages power delivery with multiple layers of electronic protection. The 2.4GHz radio system operates at 120 metres range, providing ample control distance for recreational and competitive boating. The brushless motor, marine ESC with water cooling, and high-torque waterproof servo combine to create a boat that handles like a purpose-built racing machine whilst remaining accessible to enthusiasts of all skill levels. The cable-drive system delivers smooth, efficient power transfer from motor to propeller, whilst the water cooling jacket running around the motor ensures thermal stability even during extended high-speed runs.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this suitable for beginners or do I need RC boat experience? — The ARROW is rated for age 14 and above, making it appropriate for teenagers and adults new to RC boating. The stability management receiver system with security provides automatic steering corrections that make the boat easier to control, especially when accelerating hard or turning. Beginners should start with the low-speed mode setting on the transmitter, then progress to high-speed mode as confidence builds. The self-righting hull design provides a safety net if you flip, allowing quick recovery. However, due to its 50km/h top speed and relatively lightweight construction, this is genuinely a skill level 3 boat — not an absolute beginner model, but accessible to enthusiastic newcomers with some RC experience or willingness to practice.
- What battery does the UDI ARROW need and how long does it run? — The boat uses a single 3S lithium polymer battery providing 11.1 volts nominal. The included 2200mAh capacity battery delivers approximately 7 minutes of playing time at full throttle in typical conditions. The battery charges in about 190 minutes using the included AC/DC adaptor and balancing charger. You may want to purchase spare 3S LiPo batteries to extend your session time — simply charge additional batteries whilst using the included battery to keep running continuously.
- How fast is 50km/h in real terms and what does that mean for water operation? — 50km/h (approximately 31 mph) is genuinely fast for an RC boat. At this speed, the boat becomes a serious performer that demands competent handling and sufficient space — you'll want a large pond, lake, or designated RC boating area. This speed requires the advanced stability management system to help you maintain control, especially during aggressive acceleration and high-speed turning. Wind, water conditions, and battery charge all affect actual top speed, so expect 40-50km/h as stated in real-world conditions.
- What is the transmission system and how efficient is it? — The ARROW uses a smooth cable-drive system that efficiently transfers power from the brushless motor to the propeller. Cable drive offers excellent durability and responsiveness compared to some alternatives, with minimal power loss and reliable operation in saltwater or freshwater environments. This system contributes to the boat's impressive speed whilst maintaining consistent throttle response.
- Can this boat handle saltwater or is it freshwater only? — Whilst the source does not explicitly specify saltwater compatibility, the comprehensive waterproof design, sealed servo, integrated water cooling system, and corrosion protection measures suggest this boat is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater use. However, after any saltwater use, you should rinse the boat thoroughly with fresh water and follow the maintenance procedures outlined in the manual to prevent salt corrosion of electronic components and metal parts.
- What is the radio control distance and frequency? — The UA13 2.4GHz radio system provides approximately 120 metres of control distance, which is ample for recreational boating and most organised RC boat racing events. The 2.4GHz frequency is the modern standard for RC equipment, offering excellent range and the ability to operate multiple boats simultaneously without interference. The transmitter includes low battery alarm and out of range alarm features that alert you if signal is lost or battery is depleted.
- How does the stability management system work and will it limit my speed? — The stability management receiver senses the boat's direction and movement, making automatic steering corrections to provide straight-ahead acceleration without loss of control when you punch the throttle. During turns, it makes intuitive corrections to maintain your line, then allows you to hammer the throttle earlier for faster exit speeds. The brilliant feature is that this system works invisibly in the background without ever limiting throttle — you get all 50km/h when you want it, with stability assistance only when needed. The multi-function knob on the transmitter allows fine-tuning of the system to suit different water conditions.
- What makes the water cooling system special? — Rather than simply running water past the motor, the innovative sealed motor jacket allows cooling water to flow directly against the motor windings for maximum heat transfer. This approach keeps the motor running at optimal temperature even during sustained high-speed runs, improving reliability, extending motor lifespan, and maintaining consistent performance run after run. The water cooling system also routes through the draft tube and the marine ESC's integrated heat sink, creating a comprehensive thermal management solution.
- What size is this boat and how portable is it? — At 645mm (approximately 25 inches) in length and 1233 grammes in weight, the ARROW is genuinely portable. It fits easily into a car boot alongside your charging equipment and spare batteries. The small size makes it quick to launch and retrieve, yet the length provides the hydrodynamic benefits of a larger deep-V hull design — it's the sweet spot between portability and performance.
