Technical Performance
The Savox SV1260MG delivers exceptional technical performance across all key metrics. At 7.4V, this mini servo produces an impressive 12.0kg of torque whilst achieving a blistering speed of 0.055 seconds per 60 degrees of travel—making it one of the fastest mini servos available. The servo operates across a voltage range of 6.0V to 7.4V, providing flexibility in your power setup: at 6.0V it produces 8.0kg of torque with a speed of 0.065 seconds per 60 degrees, offering a lower-power alternative if needed. The coreless motor design ensures responsive, accurate control with a 333Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth servo movement. The aluminium case and metal gear train construction provide outstanding durability and reliability, whilst the 25-tooth spline output ensures compatibility with most standard RC servo horns. Weighing just 40.0 grams and measuring 35.0mm x 15.0mm x 30.7mm, this servo is compact enough for space-constrained applications without sacrificing performance. The servo features a 250mm ±5mm wire length with JR-type connector, and operates reliably across temperatures from -10°C to 50°C. With 2BB (two ball bearings) support, the output shaft rotates smoothly with minimal friction, whilst the operating travel of 100 degrees (1000-2000 microseconds) and maximum travel capability of approximately 165 degrees (800-2200 microseconds) provide comprehensive control range for most RC applications.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What makes the Savox SV1260MG different from standard mini servos? — The SV1260MG combines digital servo technology with a coreless motor, metal gears and an aluminium case—a specification typically found in larger, more expensive servos. This means you get exceptional performance characteristics including super high resolution control, impressive torque output of 12.0kg at 7.4V, and blindingly fast speed of 0.055 seconds per 60 degrees, all packaged in a compact mini-sized form factor. The metal gear train and ball bearing construction also provide superior durability compared to plastic-geared servos, making it a genuine upgrade for anyone serious about RC performance.
- Is the SV1260MG suitable for competitive RC racing in the UK? — Absolutely. This servo is specifically engineered for performance-critical applications and delivers the speed, torque, and precision required for competitive racing. The super high resolution control, fast response time, and metal gear durability make it an excellent choice for racers who demand reliability under race conditions. Whether you're competing in high-speed circuit racing or technical off-road courses, this servo has the engineering credentials to support competitive performance.
- What battery voltage does this servo require? — The SV1260MG operates across a range of 6.0V to 7.4V. At 6.0V it delivers 8.0kg of torque and 0.065 second speed, whilst at 7.4V it reaches maximum performance with 12.0kg of torque and 0.055 second speed. Most RC enthusiasts use 2S LiPo batteries (7.4V nominal) to unlock the full performance potential of this servo, though it will also operate safely on 6.0V systems if needed. The running current is 180mA at 7.4V under no-load conditions, with a maximum stall current of 4700mA when the servo is locked under full load.
- What is the physical size and weight? — The SV1260MG measures 35.0mm in length, 15.0mm in width, and 30.7mm in height, making it a true mini-sized servo suitable for applications with space constraints. At just 40.0 grams, it's lightweight without compromising on structural strength thanks to the all-aluminium case construction. These compact dimensions and light weight make it ideal for vehicles where every gram counts, particularly in competition racing applications.
- How long is the servo cable? — The servo comes with a 250mm ±5mm connecting cable with a JR-type connector, which is the standard servo connector type used across most RC equipment. This cable length provides flexibility for mounting the servo in various positions within your RC vehicle whilst maintaining a direct connection to your receiver.
- What operating temperature range is supported? — The servo operates reliably across temperatures from -10°C to 50°C (-10°F to 122°F), providing excellent temperature stability for use in various UK weather conditions throughout the year.
