Technical Performance

The SAV-SC1251MG+ represents the pinnacle of low-profile servo engineering, delivering exceptional performance specifications that rival servos twice its size. At 6V operation, this servo produces an impressive 9.0kg (125.0 oz-in) of torque whilst maintaining lightning-fast response times of just 0.09 seconds per 60-degree sweep. These specifications make it ideal for competitive 1/10 on-road RC racing, where precise steering control and rapid response are essential for lap-time improvements and consistent performance across multiple heats. The servo weighs just 44.5 grams, making it an excellent choice for weight-conscious builds where every gram impacts acceleration and handling characteristics.

The digital servo operates across a voltage range from 4.8V to 6V, with performance scaling appropriately with input voltage. At the lower 4.8V setting, the servo still delivers respectable 7.0kg (97.2 oz-in) torque and 0.10-second response times, providing operational flexibility for various battery setups. The brushed motor design combined with the coreless technology delivers smooth, predictable control without the electrical noise interference that can affect sensitive radio reception in some vehicles. The servo features 2BB (double ball bearing) support for the output shaft, ensuring minimal friction and extended operational lifespan even under continuous use during competitive racing events.

Technical specifications reveal a servo built for demanding applications: the servo operates across a temperature range of 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C), making it suitable for year-round RC racing across the United Kingdom. The 25-tooth output gear spline ensures compatibility with standard servo horns across most RC platforms, whilst the 90-degree operating travel (1000-2000 microsecond pulse width) provides sufficient steering authority for most on-road and light off-road applications. The servo accepts a maximum pulse width range of 950-2050 microseconds and can reach approximately 160 degrees maximum travel at extended pulse widths (700-2300 microseconds). At idle, the servo draws just 5mA across all voltage settings, minimising drain on your RC car's battery when the servo is powered but not actively steering. Running current without load measures 150mA at 4.8V and 180mA at 6.0V, whilst stall current when the servo horn is locked reaches 2000mA at 4.8V and 3000mA at 6.0V, demonstrating the servo's substantial pulling power under load.

The servo features a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate, meaning the servo receives position updates 240 times per second from your radio receiver. This extremely high refresh rate ensures smooth, responsive steering that eliminates lag or dead zones that can frustrate RC drivers during competitive racing. The 300mm ±5mm servo lead length provides flexibility in installation whilst the compact low-profile dimensions allow fitment in tight servo bays where space is at a premium. All of this engineering excellence is backed by Savox's comprehensive 1-year warranty, protecting your investment and demonstrating manufacturer confidence in this servo's reliability and durability.
