Overview

The Savox HV CNC Monster Brushless Servo SAV-SB2295SG represents the pinnacle of high-performance servo technology for demanding RC applications. This monster-class servo is engineered for enthusiasts and professionals who demand nothing less than exceptional torque output combined with impressive speed. Whether you're building a high-performance RC crawler, monster truck, or any application where raw power and control are critical, this brushless servo delivers the performance characteristics that serious RC hobbyists expect. Available through RC Model Shop, this servo represents a significant investment in quality and reliability for your RC car UK setup.

Savox has leveraged decades of servo engineering expertise to create the Monster series, utilising cutting-edge brushless motor technology that generates up to 35% more power than competing brands at similar price points. The SB2295SG specifically is designed for builders who refuse to compromise on performance, whether you're competing at the highest levels or simply demand the best for your weekend bashing. This is a servo built for serious RC enthusiasts who understand that quality components directly translate to better handling, faster response times, and ultimately, a more enjoyable driving experience.

The combination of brushless motor technology, precision ball bearing construction, and a full aluminium case makes this servo suitable for both high-speed racing applications and heavy-duty off-road tasks. If you're looking to upgrade your ready to run RC vehicle or build a competitive brushless RC car from scratch, the SB2295SG offers the kind of performance and reliability that will serve you well for years to come.

Key Features

  • Brushless Motor Technology — Savox's patented brushless servo motor technology delivers up to 35% more power than conventional brushed motors found in competing brands, whilst maintaining exceptional smoothness and responsiveness that directly translates to more precise vehicle control.
  • Triple Precision Ball Bearings (3BB) — The servo features three precision ball bearings that optimise smoothness and reliability during operation, reducing friction and wear whilst ensuring consistent performance across thousands of hours of use, which is particularly important for competitive racing and heavy-duty applications.
  • Full Aluminium Case — The durable aluminium construction provides excellent heat dissipation and structural rigidity, protecting internal components whilst keeping the servo lightweight and compact for easy installation in confined spaces common in modern RC designs.
  • Unique Steel Gears — Heavy-duty steel gearing is engineered to handle the extreme torque outputs this servo produces, resisting stripping and wear even under prolonged high-load conditions that would challenge lesser servos.
  • High Voltage Compatibility — The servo operates across 6.0V, 7.4V, and 8.4V power sources, offering flexibility in battery selection and the ability to scale performance upwards by running higher voltage systems whilst maintaining reliability.
  • CNC Precision Manufacturing — Computer numerical control manufacturing ensures tolerances are held to exacting standards, resulting in consistent performance across every unit produced and eliminating the variable quality sometimes found in mass-produced servos.
  • 25 Tooth Spline Output — The standard 25-tooth output spline ensures compatibility with a vast range of servo horns and linkages available in the RC hobby market, simplifying parts sourcing and vehicle customisation.

Technical Performance

The Savox SB2295SG delivers truly impressive performance specifications that position it among the most powerful servos available for RC applications. At 7.4V, the servo produces 32.0kg of torque with a response time of 0.060 seconds per 60 degrees of rotation, whilst at the higher 8.4V operating voltage, torque increases to 40.0kg with an even quicker 0.050-second response time. This exceptional speed and power combination makes the servo ideal for demanding RC car UK applications where millisecond response times and high holding torque are essential. The brushless motor design with its unique controller technology represents a significant engineering achievement, delivering this level of performance whilst maintaining reliability and smoothness across extended operating sessions. Measuring just 40.3mm in length, 20.2mm in width, and 38.7mm in height, the compact footprint belies the immense power contained within, whilst the 79-gram weight keeps vehicle balance and inertia manageable. The servo's operating temperature range of -10°C to +50°C ensures reliable performance whether you're running in UK winter conditions or summer heat. Running current at 7.4V stands at 220mA under no-load conditions, whilst stall current at locked position reaches 9200mA, indicating the servo's ability to deliver maximum torque under extreme load. The 300mm wire harness provides sufficient length for most mounting applications, and the 333Hz refresh rate ensures rapid response to transmitter commands without the delay or jitter that could affect vehicle handling. With a maximum travel of approximately 130 degrees and standard 1000-2000 microsecond pulse width operation, the servo integrates seamlessly with modern radio systems and receivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes the Savox SB2295SG different from standard servos? — This servo utilises patented brushless motor technology that delivers up to 35% more power than competing brands, combined with triple precision ball bearings and a full aluminium case for unmatched reliability and performance in high-torque applications.
  • What voltage should I run this servo at for best performance? — The servo operates across 6.0V, 7.4V, and 8.4V. For maximum performance, 8.4V operation delivers 40kg torque and 0.050-second response time, though 7.4V (32kg, 0.060-second) offers an excellent balance of performance and component stress. Always ensure your complete electrical system is rated for your chosen voltage.
  • Is this servo suitable for brushless RC car UK applications? — Yes, absolutely. The 32kg (7.4V) to 40kg (8.4V) torque output makes this servo ideal for high-performance brushless RC vehicles, including monster trucks, crawlers, and competitive racing machines where rapid response and strong holding torque are essential.
  • What is the difference between this Monster servo and standard Savox servos? — The Monster series utilises enhanced brushless motor technology, superior bearing construction, and CNC precision manufacturing to deliver up to 35% more power output. Standard Savox servos are excellent general-purpose servos, whilst the Monster series targets extreme performance applications.
  • Can I use this servo in a ready to run RC vehicle? — Yes, the servo's standard 25-tooth spline and compact dimensions (40.3 x 20.2 x 38.7mm) make it compatible with most modern RC platforms. However, you should verify compatibility with your specific vehicle before purchase to ensure the servo fits within your vehicle's servo bay and that your radio system can control it.
  • What battery compatibility does this servo require? — The servo operates on 6.0V, 7.4V (2S LiPo), and 8.4V (3S LiPo or 7-cell NiMH) power sources. Ensure your servo connector matches your receiver's connector type, and always use high-quality batteries suitable for your chosen voltage.
  • How does the refresh rate affect servo performance? — The 333Hz refresh rate means the servo receives position updates 333 times per second, enabling rapid response to transmitter commands. This high refresh rate is particularly important in competitive racing and technical driving situations where instant control feedback dramatically improves performance.
  • Is this servo waterproof? — Whilst the full aluminium case and precision construction provide excellent durability and weather resistance, Savox does not classify this as a fully waterproof servo. For high-water environments, consider applying protective sealant around the connector area.
  • What is the wire length and is it connectable to my receiver? — The servo includes a 300mm (±5mm) pre-attached wire harness. The connector type varies by batch, so verify your servo's connector matches your receiver. Standard JR, Futaba, and Spektrum connectors are available through RC Model Shop.
  • How long will this servo last with normal use? — Savox servos are renowned for longevity. The triple precision ball bearings, unique steel gears, and brushless motor technology are engineered for thousands of hours of reliable operation. Your servo is backed by a comprehensive 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.
