Key Features

  • High-Performance Digital High Voltage Coreless Standard Servo — The digital control electronics deliver faster response times and smoother servo movement compared to analogue servos. High-voltage operation enables higher torque output, allowing this servo to perform at full capacity when running on 8.4V LiPo packs. The coreless motor design reduces rotational inertia, contributing to rapid acceleration and deceleration that improves steering responsiveness in RC cars.
  • High-Precision Aluminium Gears with Hard Anodising — The gear train is manufactured from precision-engineered aluminium that has been hard anodised to create a durable, wear-resistant surface. Hard anodising significantly improves resistance to friction and corrosion, extending the lifespan of the servo and maintaining consistent performance throughout its working life. This level of precision manufacturing ensures smooth engagement and minimal backlash for accurate, repeatable control.
  • Dual Ball Bearings — Two ball bearings support the servo shaft, reducing friction throughout the range of motion and enabling smoother, faster operation. Ball bearings provide superior support compared to plain bushings, particularly under load, and contribute to the servo's ability to maintain performance consistency across thousands of operating cycles. This design choice ensures that the servo will continue to respond quickly and accurately throughout its service life.
  • CNC Aluminium Middle Hull — The servo body is manufactured using CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machining from aluminium, ensuring perfect dimensional accuracy and structural integrity. The aluminium construction provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio, whilst the CNC machining guarantees that all mounting points and internal components are perfectly aligned. This precision manufacturing directly translates into superior reliability and longevity under the demanding conditions typical of competitive RC racing and serious hobbyist use.
  • Ultra-Tight 1 Microsecond Dead Band — The dead band (the range of control inputs that produce no servo movement) is exceptionally tight at just 1 microsecond. This means the servo responds immediately to even the smallest control inputs, providing precise centring and eliminating the sluggish feeling common with servos that have wider dead bands. For RC racing and precision applications, this translates directly into better handling characteristics and improved lap times.
  • Dual Voltage Operation — This servo operates at both 6.0V and 8.4V, allowing you to choose the performance level that suits your application. At 6.0V, it delivers 0.12 seconds per 60 degrees of rotation with 25.2kg.cm torque, whilst at 8.4V it performs at 0.10 seconds per 60 degrees with the full 32.3kg.cm stall torque. This versatility means you can run the same servo in different models or adjust performance by changing your battery voltage without replacing the servo.

Technical Performance

The Etronix ET2063 is engineered with a coreless digital motor that delivers exceptional speed and consistency. At 8.4V operation, this servo completes a 60-degree rotation in just 0.10 seconds, making it one of the fastest standard-size servos available in the UK RC market. The stall torque of 32.3kg.cm (281.89 oz/in) at 8.4V provides more than sufficient strength for steering and throttle control in high-performance RC cars, buggies, and trucks. Even when operated at the standard 6.0V, the servo maintains excellent performance with 0.12 second speed and 25.2kg.cm torque, proving its versatility across different power system configurations.

The servo's working frequency of 1520?s at 330Hz ensures smooth, responsive operation with minimal jitter or hunting. The 1 microsecond dead band represents state-of-the-art precision that only high-end digital servos achieve, making this model exceptional value for competitive racing applications where millisecond response times make the difference between winning and losing. The CNC-machined aluminium middle hull provides a rigid structural foundation that prevents flex and ensures that all internal components remain perfectly aligned even under extreme operating conditions. Dual ball bearings throughout the design minimise friction losses and contribute to the servo's rapid response characteristics.

Construction quality is evident throughout the ET2063. The hard-anodised aluminium gears resist wear far better than standard gears, meaning this servo will maintain its performance characteristics for years of heavy use. The high-precision manufacturing tolerances and the use of a coreless motor represent the kind of engineering typically found only in professional-grade servos costing significantly more. The compact dimensions of just 40.5 x 20.5 x 36.5mm make this servo compatible with standard servo mounting locations in virtually all RC vehicles, whilst the lightweight 59.3g construction means minimal impact on your model's balance and handling characteristics. The 265mm JR-standard connector wire provides excellent reach for flexible mounting options within your RC car UK build.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What voltage does the Etronix ET2063 servo operate at? — This servo is a high-voltage digital servo that operates optimally at 8.4V, delivering maximum performance of 0.10 seconds per 60 degrees and 32.3kg.cm stall torque at this voltage. It is also fully compatible with 6.0V operation (standard NiMh batteries), where it delivers 0.12 seconds per 60 degrees and 25.2kg.cm torque. This dual-voltage capability makes it versatile enough for different battery configurations and allows you to adjust performance based on your application's requirements.
  • Is the ET2063 suitable for beginners? — Whilst the ET2063 is an excellent servo, it is primarily designed for RC enthusiasts with some experience who understand servo operation and high-voltage systems. Beginners would benefit from servo specialists' advice before selecting this model. However, if you are building a dedicated RC car UK project and want professional-grade components from the start, this servo will serve you reliably for years. Many users report trouble-free operation for over two years of regular use, even in demanding conditions.
  • What type of battery connector does this servo use? — The Etronix ET2063 comes fitted with a standard JR connector, making it compatible with most quality RC receivers and servos available in the UK market. If your radio system uses a different connector standard (such as Futaba or Spektrum), you will need to source an appropriate adapter or have the servo re-wired by a qualified technician. The 265mm connector wire length provides good reach for flexible servo mounting within your RC model.
  • How does the dead band specification affect servo performance? — The dead band is the smallest control input that produces servo movement. The ET2063's exceptional 1 microsecond dead band means it responds to even the tiniest steering input, providing ultra-precise control and eliminating the vague, unresponsive feeling associated with servos that have wider dead bands. For competitive RC racing and precision work, this tight dead band directly translates into better vehicle handling and faster lap times. It also helps the servo centre perfectly on neutral without hunting or oscillation.
  • Is this servo waterproof? — The Etronix ET2063 is not classified as a waterproof servo, so it is not suitable for applications that involve submersion or heavy water exposure. It is suitable for standard RC car use in dry conditions and light splashing typical of off-road racing. If you require waterproof servo operation for aquatic RC vehicles or all-weather buggies, Etronix manufactures dedicated waterproof models such as the ET2072 that provide sealed construction for harsh environment use.
