Technical Performance
The ETRONIX ET2060 is engineered with meticulous attention to performance and durability. At its heart sits a coreless motor—a design choice that significantly improves response time and reduces power consumption compared to conventional brushed motors found in budget servos. Operating at 8.4V, this servo achieves an impressive 0.072 seconds per 60 degrees, making it one of the fastest standard-size servos available for RC cars, buggies, and trucks in the UK market. Even at the more common 6.0V operating voltage, it still delivers respectable performance of 0.095 seconds per 60 degrees. The stall torque figures are equally impressive: 11.25kg.cm at 8.4V and 8.75kg.cm at 6.0V, providing sufficient pulling power for steering aggressive RC vehicles, managing large steering angles, and maintaining control during high-speed cornering manoeuvres. The servo's precision is further enhanced by high-precision aluminium gears that have undergone hard-anodising treatment—a process that hardens the surface to resist wear, stripping, and corrosion. This engineering approach ensures the servo maintains smooth operation throughout its lifespan. The CNC-machined aluminium middle hull provides exceptional structural integrity, protecting the internal components from impact damage whilst keeping the overall weight to just 59.3 grams, making it lightweight enough for speed-sensitive RC applications. The inclusion of dual ball bearings means friction is minimised, translating to smoother servo movement and improved efficiency. With full waterproof rating, the ET2060 is ready to handle the demands of wet-weather RC racing and outdoor bashing. The servo features a standard JR connector with a 265mm wire lead (10.43 inches), compatible with most modern RC receiver systems used in the UK hobby scene.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What voltage should I run this servo on to get the best performance? — The ET2060 is rated for operation at both 6.0V and 8.4V, with high-voltage operation at 8.4V delivering the maximum performance of 0.072 seconds per 60 degrees and 11.25kg.cm stall torque. High-voltage systems typically use 2S LiPo batteries (7.4V nominal, 8.4V charged) or 3-cell NiMh packs (6.0V), and the servo will deliver superior speed and power when connected to 8.4V systems. If you're using a traditional 6.0V setup with NiMh batteries, the servo will still perform excellently, achieving 0.095 seconds per 60 degrees.
- Is this servo suitable for my 1/10 RC car or truck? — Yes, absolutely. The ET2060 is a standard-size servo designed specifically for 1/10 scale RC cars, buggies, trucks, and touring cars, making it ideal for most mainstream RC vehicles used throughout the UK. The dimensions of 40.5 x 20.5 x 36.5mm match the standard servo mounting bracket size used on virtually all 1/10 scale RC vehicles.
- Will this servo work with my existing radio system? — The ET2060 features a standard JR connector, making it compatible with all modern RC receiver systems that use JR-style servo connectors. This includes radio systems from Spektrum, Futaba, and most other major manufacturers used in the UK RC hobby.
- How does this servo compare to cheaper alternatives? — The ET2060 stands apart from budget servos through its coreless motor design (faster response), hard-anodised precision aluminium gears (superior durability), dual ball bearings (smoother operation), and full waterproof rating. These features combine to deliver performance and reliability that exceed standard plastic-geared servos, particularly in demanding racing applications or rough outdoor conditions.
- Is this servo waterproof enough for wet-weather racing? — Yes, the ET2060 carries a waterproof rating, meaning it can safely operate in rain, wet conditions, and water splash scenarios without internal damage. This makes it ideal for UK RC racing where weather can be unpredictable, though you should avoid prolonged submersion.
- What is the servo's dead band and why does it matter? — The ET2060 features an ultra-low dead band of just 1 microsecond, which means it responds instantly to even the tiniest steering inputs. This is critical for competitive RC racing where precision steering control and immediate response can determine the difference between winning and losing on the track.
