Key Features
- Lightning-Fast Response Time — With a transit time of just 0.07 seconds over 60 degrees, this micro digital servo delivers exceptionally quick movement response, which is essential for precise control in fast-paced RC applications and competitive driving.
- Compact Micro Design — At only 9.4 grams and measuring just 23.2 x 12.0 x 25.5 millimetres, this servo is engineered for space-constrained applications where weight savings are critical without sacrificing control authority.
- Solid Torque Output — The servo generates 1.9 kg-cm of torque at 6.0 volts, providing sufficient pulling power for steering, throttle control and other servo-driven functions on lightweight RC models.
- Digital Servo Technology — Digital servos offer superior holding strength, faster response, and better dead-band control compared to analogue servos, giving you more precise control over your RC model's movements.
- Complete Accessory Package — Every servo comes with a full selection of servo horns in different shapes and sizes, mounting rubbers to dampen vibration, and all necessary hardware, eliminating the need for separate purchases.
- Plastic Construction — The servo features a plastic case and plastic gears, which keeps weight minimal and makes it ideal for micro-scale RC applications where every gram counts.
- 6.0 Volt Rated — The servo is optimised for 6.0-volt operation, which is the standard voltage across most micro RC applications and readily available through standard RC batteries.
Technical Performance
The ETRONIX 9G 1.9kg/0.07s Micro Digital Servo represents a finely engineered balance between speed, torque and weight that makes it perfectly suited to micro RC applications throughout the UK and internationally. Operating at 6.0 volts, the servo achieves its quoted performance specifications: a 0.07-second transit time over 60 degrees of rotation and 1.9 kg-cm of torque. These figures mean the servo can snap to your commands almost instantaneously, providing the responsive control that competitive RC drivers and casual enthusiasts alike demand from their equipment. The digital servo design ensures consistent performance across the full range of movement, with minimal dead-band and excellent holding strength when the servo reaches its commanded position. The lightweight construction, achieved through the use of plastic gears and a plastic case, keeps the overall weight at just 9.4 grams, making this servo an excellent choice for weight-conscious builds such as micro-scale RC cars, small helicopters, drones and other specialist applications. The plastic components are designed to withstand normal RC use whilst keeping inertia low, which translates to faster acceleration and deceleration of the servo horn. The combination of fast speed, adequate torque and minimal weight makes this servo particularly valuable for RC builders in the UK who are working on competition or precision-focused projects where every tenth of a gram and every millisecond of response time matters.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the ETRONIX 9G micro digital servo suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst the ETRONIX 9G is a professional-grade servo, it is straightforward to install and use. The inclusion of multiple servo horns, mounting rubbers and all necessary hardware means beginners have everything needed for installation without additional purchases. The servo's responsive digital design actually makes it easier for beginners to achieve precise control, as the fast response time and good holding strength provide immediate feedback about model movement.
- What voltage does this servo require? — The ETRONIX 9G is rated for 6.0-volt operation, which is the standard voltage for micro RC applications. You will need a 6.0-volt battery pack or RC transmitter power supply compatible with this voltage. The servo's specifications (0.07-second speed and 1.9 kg-cm torque) are rated at this voltage.
- What applications is this servo suitable for? — Due to its lightweight 9.4-gram design and compact 23.2 x 12.0 x 25.5-millimetre dimensions, this servo is ideal for micro-scale RC cars, small RC helicopters, drones, precision steering and throttle control systems, and any other application where space and weight are at a premium. The fast 0.07-second response time makes it particularly suitable for applications demanding quick, precise movements.
- What makes a digital servo different from an analogue servo? — Digital servos like the ETRONIX 9G use digital signal processing to provide several advantages over analogue servos: faster response times, superior holding strength at the commanded position, better resolution and control, lower power consumption, and improved performance across varying input frequencies. For RC enthusiasts in the UK seeking maximum control precision, digital servos are the preferred choice.
- Is this servo waterproof? — The source specifications do not list waterproof certification for this servo. If your RC application involves water exposure, we recommend consulting with RC Model Shop's expert team or contacting Etronix directly before use in wet conditions.
- What comes with the servo — do I need to buy anything else to install it? — The ETRONIX 9G comes with a complete accessory package including multiple servo horns in different shapes and sizes, mounting rubbers for vibration dampening, and all necessary hardware for installation. In most cases, this means you won't need to purchase additional servo accessories, though your specific RC model's mounting points and control linkages may require planning before installation.
- How does the 1.9 kg-cm torque compare to other micro servos? — The 1.9 kg-cm torque specification is competitive for a 9-gram micro servo and is suitable for steering control, throttle control, and other standard RC functions on lightweight models. For heavier models or applications requiring greater force, you may need a servo with higher torque ratings, but for the weight-conscious RC builder, this servo offers an excellent balance of speed, torque and minimal mass.
