Overview
The Etronix 15cm 22AWG Futaba Twisted Servo Wire (ET0747) is an essential component for RC enthusiasts building or maintaining their radio control models. Whether you're working on an RC car, truck, buggy, aircraft or boat, this compact servo lead offers a practical solution for connecting servos with minimal cable slack. The twisted configuration helps reduce electromagnetic interference and keeps your wiring neat and organised, which is particularly valuable when space is limited within the chassis or airframe of your RC vehicle.
This servo wire is specifically designed for Futaba-style connectors, which are widely used across the RC hobby industry. At just 15 centimetres in length, it strikes the perfect balance between providing enough reach for short servo runs whilst keeping excess cable to a minimum. The 22 AWG (American Wire Gauge) conductor provides appropriate current-carrying capacity for standard servo applications, making this wire suitable for everything from entry-level RC cars to more advanced competition models. Whether you're a weekend basher or a serious RC competitor, having quality servo leads in your spares box is essential for quick repairs and custom wiring looms.
Based in Walsall, RC Model Shop stocks the full range of Etronix servo wiring solutions, and we're committed to providing genuine products and expert advice to the UK RC community. This twisted servo wire represents excellent value for money and is an ideal addition to any RC builder's toolkit.
Key Features
- 15cm Compact Length — The 15 centimetre run is perfectly sized for short servo connections without excessive slack, making it ideal for tight spaces in RC car chassis, aircraft fuselages and boat hulls where cable management is critical.
- 22 AWG Conductors — The 22 gauge wire provides reliable current delivery for standard servo motors whilst maintaining flexibility for easy routing through your RC model's internal cavity.
- Twisted Configuration — The twisted design of the servo wire helps to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, ensuring clean signal transmission to your servos for more precise and responsive control of your RC vehicle.
- Futaba-Style Connector — This wire features Futaba-style servo wiring layout, which is the industry-standard connector type used across the vast majority of RC cars, trucks, buggies, aircraft and boats sold in the UK market.
- Professional Build Quality — Etronix components are engineered for reliability and durability, giving you confidence that your connections will remain secure during intense bashing sessions or competitive racing.
Technical Performance
The Etronix 15cm 22AWG Futaba Twisted Servo Wire is manufactured to professional standards ensuring reliable electrical connectivity in all RC applications. The 22 AWG wire gauge is the industry standard for servo leads, offering an optimal balance between current capacity and flexibility. The twisted pair construction is a recognised best practice in electronics engineering, as it effectively cancels out magnetic interference from nearby electrical components such as brushed or brushless motors and electronic speed controllers. This means your servo signals remain clean and undistorted, resulting in smoother, more accurate control of your RC model whether you're driving an RC car around a technical track, piloting an RC aircraft through complex manoeuvres, or navigating an RC boat through challenging water courses. The compact 15 centimetre length makes this servo lead perfectly suited to modern chassis designs where component density is high and cable routing must be precise. The Futaba connector standard ensures compatibility with the vast majority of servo motors and receiver units available to UK RC hobbyists. Whether used as a direct replacement in a repair situation or as part of a complete custom wiring loom, this twisted servo wire delivers the dependability you need for consistent RC performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Etronix 15cm Futaba twisted servo wire suitable for beginners? — Yes, this servo lead is an excellent choice for beginners building their first RC models. If you're new to RC and constructing your own vehicle or replacing damaged servo leads, the standard Futaba connectors and straightforward twisted design make installation simple. Having quality servo wires like this in your spares box means you can quickly repair issues or reconfigure your wiring as you learn more about RC car, truck, aircraft and boat building.
- What types of RC models can I use this servo wire with? — The Etronix 15cm Futaba twisted servo wire works with any RC model that uses Futaba-style servo connectors, including RC cars, RC trucks, RC buggies, RC aircraft and RC boats. The 15 centimetre length makes it ideal for short servo runs where minimal cable slack is preferred, particularly in compact chassis designs and tight airframes.
- Why should I choose twisted servo wire instead of straight wire? — The twisted configuration of this servo wire reduces electromagnetic interference and signal noise compared to straight parallel wires, resulting in cleaner servo control signals. This is particularly important in modern RC models with brushless motors and high-frequency electronic speed controllers that can generate significant electrical noise. By choosing twisted servo wire, you ensure your servos respond with maximum precision and accuracy.
- Is this wire compatible with my RC car or truck? — If your RC car, truck, buggy or other model uses Futaba-style servo connectors (the most common standard across UK RC hobby retailers), then this Etronix twisted servo wire will be compatible. The 15 centimetre length works best for short servo runs, making it perfect for tight spaces in modern RC chassis design.
- Can I use this for battery connections? — This is a servo-specific twisted lead designed for servo control signal transmission. For battery connections, Etronix also offers separate battery wire options with appropriate connectors and gauges specifically engineered for power delivery rather than signal transmission.
- What gauge wire is this? — This servo wire uses 22 AWG (American Wire Gauge) conductors, which is the industry standard for servo applications in RC vehicles. This gauge provides adequate current-carrying capacity for standard servo motors whilst maintaining the flexibility needed for routing through RC chassis and airframes.
