Technical Performance

The Syncro-2 is engineered with meticulous attention to detail, combining brushless technology with carefully selected components to deliver outstanding performance and reliability. The Kuron 725 brushless motor paired with the PULSE G2 135 ESC provides smooth, responsive power that's suitable for both learning to drive and competitive racing. The motor's brushless design eliminates carbon brush maintenance, extends runtime between charges, and delivers consistent performance throughout your driving sessions. Compatible with 3S and 4S LiPo batteries, the Syncro-2 gives you flexibility to choose between a lighter, more nimble setup with 3S power or the extra speed and acceleration of 4S. The advanced ESC handles both battery configurations intelligently, adjusting performance parameters automatically. Built on a proven 1/8 scale platform with professional-grade engineering, the chassis measures 515mm in length with a 327mm wheelbase, delivering a compact yet stable platform. The 19mm diameter oil-filled shocks maintain consistent suspension geometry, whilst the low ground clearance of 50mm keeps the centre of gravity low for improved handling and cornering. With a dry weight of just 3,300 grams (excluding battery), the buggy is light enough to be agile and responsive, yet heavy enough to have momentum and stability. The specially designed 117mm diameter, 59mm wide tyres with a 57mm rim width are optimised for 2WD traction characteristics. The front track width of 320mm and rear track width of 332mm provide a stable stance that resists tipping during aggressive cornering. Build quality throughout reflects Team Corally's reputation for reliability, with composite chassis components offering the ideal balance of weight savings and durability. Steel drivetrain components and reinforced suspension arms ensure the buggy can handle the demands of enthusiastic driving and jumps without premature wear or breakage.

  • 4S Balance Board — If using 4S batteries, a balance board helps distribute charge evenly across cells (required for 4S configurations only).
  • Transmitter Batteries — AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries are needed to power the CT2S transmitter (exact quantity varies but typically 4 AA batteries).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Corally Syncro-2 suitable for RC car beginners and first-time buyers? — Absolutely. The Syncro-2 is specifically designed with beginners in mind, featuring a ready-to-run format that eliminates assembly hassles, adjustable power settings on the transmitter to match your skill level, and an intuitive 2WD layout that's simpler to drive and understand than 4WD alternatives. The CT2S transmitter is compact and user-friendly, whilst the adjustable power settings allow you to start at 50% power whilst learning the basics, gradually increasing to 100% as you build confidence. Many new RC enthusiasts find the Syncro-2 to be the perfect introduction to the hobby.
  • What battery does the Corally Syncro-2 need, and what's the difference between 3S and 4S? — The Syncro-2 is compatible with both 3S (11.1V) and 4S (14.8V) LiPo batteries, offering flexibility to choose based on your preferences. A 3S battery provides adequate speed and performance whilst drawing less power from the motor and ESC, resulting in longer runtime and easier handling characteristics—ideal for learning. A 4S battery doubles the cell count for increased voltage, delivering noticeably higher top speed and more aggressive acceleration, making it better suited for experienced drivers seeking maximum performance. Both configurations work perfectly with the PULSE G2 135 ESC. We recommend starting with a quality 3S battery and progressing to 4S once you've developed your driving skills.
  • How long does the battery last per charge, and how long does it take to charge? — Runtime depends on the specific battery capacity, driving style, and terrain, but typical 5000mAh 3S LiPo batteries provide 15-30 minutes of driving time depending on how aggressively you accelerate and whether you're using adjustable power settings. Charge time varies by charger—a 50W charger typically takes 30-45 minutes for a 5000mAh battery, whilst faster 65W chargers can complete the job in 25-35 minutes. Many enthusiasts purchase multiple batteries to extend their driving sessions without waiting for recharges.
  • What is the top speed of the Syncro-2, and how fast is it really? — The exact top speed varies depending on battery voltage (3S versus 4S), gear ratios, and driving surface conditions, but the Kuron 725 brushless motor paired with the PULSE G2 135 ESC delivers performance suitable for exciting high-speed driving and competition. With adjustable power settings on the transmitter, you control how much speed is available, making it easy to dial in appropriate performance for your skill level and driving environment.
  • What's the difference between the Syncro-2 and the Syncro4 it's based on? — The Syncro4 is a four-wheel-drive version featuring more complex geometry and higher performance, making it better suited for experienced drivers seeking maximum grip and control through advanced suspension setup. The Syncro-2 simplifies the platform with a pure 2WD layout, reducing complexity, weight, and cost whilst maintaining professional engineering and race-inspired performance. The 2WD design makes it easier for beginners to learn and understand driving dynamics, whilst remaining engaging and fun for experienced drivers seeking a lighter, more agile alternative to 4WD platforms.
  • Is the Syncro-2 waterproof, and can I drive it in wet conditions? — The electronics are not sealed to waterproof standards, so you should avoid heavy rain, water crossings, and wet grass. Light moisture and damp conditions are generally acceptable, but we recommend allowing components to dry thoroughly after driving in damp environments. Never deliberately submerge the buggy in water or drive through deep puddles.
  • How often will I need to maintain the Syncro-2, and what parts wear out fastest? — The brushless motor requires virtually no maintenance beyond occasional cleaning. Tyres will wear depending on driving frequency and surface conditions, typically lasting months of regular use before needing replacement. The differential fluid should be checked periodically. The slipper clutch may need adjustment if you notice excessive wheel spin. The bearings are sealed, reducing maintenance needs. Overall, the Syncro-2 is engineered for reliability and minimal upkeep compared to nitro-powered alternatives.
  • Can I upgrade components on the Syncro-2, and are aftermarket parts available? — Yes, the Syncro-2 is built on the proven Syncro4 platform, meaning extensive aftermarket support is available. Many users upgrade to higher-capacity batteries, faster chargers, enhanced suspension components, and performance-tuned motors. Check specialist RC retailers for a full range of compatible upgrades and spare parts.
  • What skill level is the Syncro-2 rated for? — The manufacturer rates the Syncro-2 as Skill Level 2, indicating it's designed for novice to intermediate drivers. This means you don't need prior RC experience to enjoy it, but the buggy remains engaging enough for those with some driving experience who appreciate its 2WD simplicity and overall build quality.
  • How does the 2WD layout compare to 4WD in real driving situations? — 2WD buggies are lighter and more agile than 4WD alternatives, accelerating faster and turning quicker through tight courses. They require slightly more finesse and driving skill to maximize performance, particularly in loose terrain, but many drivers prefer the responsive, involving driving experience. 4WD offers superior grip and stability, especially in challenging conditions, but adds weight and complexity. The Syncro-2's 2WD design makes it perfect for learning how to truly drive an RC buggy with precision and control.
