Overview

Introducing the all-new, extra-large Asuga XLR 6S RTR Buggy from Team Corally — a groundbreaking ready to run RC buggy that redefines what's possible in the world of off-road RC cars. This unique vehicle is 15% larger than traditional 1/8 buggies and delivers a driving experience like no other car available today. Whether you're a seasoned RC enthusiast looking for the next level of performance or someone new to the hobby searching for a high-quality ready to run RC model, the Asuga XLR stands as the epitome of speed, durability, and handling in the RC buggy realm. Developed with a laser-focused attention to the smallest of details, this precision-engineered brushless RC buggy satisfies owners with the fastest, most durable, and best-handling capabilities ever produced in this category.

The Asuga XLR represents a fundamental shift in what an XL 6S buggy can achieve. Built on a completely new chassis platform that harnesses the proven, durable, and 6S-capable drivetrain system that Team Corally's 1/8 scale models have become recognised for, this ready to run RC car combines raw power with exceptional control. Available in three stunning body colour choices, the Asuga XLR isn't just another brushless RC buggy — it's a statement of intent for anyone serious about their RC bashing program. If you've been looking for a quality RC car UK retailers can depend upon, this is the model that delivers in every measurable way.

Isn't it time your bashing program went big? The Asuga XLR's larger footprint brings increased ground clearance, massive suspension travel, and oversized components that simply outclass its counterparts. • Ready to Run (RTR) Configuration — This brushless RC buggy arrives fully assembled and requires no building time. Simply add a compatible 3-6S LiPo battery and charger, and you're ready to hit the track or bash in the park. This makes it an ideal choice for anyone seeking an immediate ready to run RC car without the assembly hassle.

Technical Performance

The Asuga XLR 6S delivers benchmark-setting performance thanks to its combination of cutting-edge engineering and proven drivetrain technology. At its heart sits the Dynamic Kuron 825 brushless motor, a 4-pole 2050KV sensorless unit delivering the perfect balance of acceleration and top-speed capabilities. Paired with the stable Torox 185 ESC rated for 3-6S operation, this ready to run RC buggy achieves a claimed top speed of 100 km/h (approximately 62 mph) — genuinely competitive performance in the 1/8 scale brushless RC buggy category. The ESC features comprehensive user-adjustable settings including LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff) and programmable BEC output, allowing you to optimise performance for different driving styles and battery configurations. The internal drive ratio of 3.31 combined with an overall drive ratio of 13.23 ensures responsive acceleration whilst maintaining top-speed capability, with a spur gear of 52 teeth and motor pinion of 13 teeth delivering the perfect mechanical advantage for this size and power class. The 4WD shaft-driven transmission utilises hardened S2 steel drive joints and axles, engineered to withstand the punishment of high-power driving whilst minimising drivetrain losses. Weighing 4,450g without battery, the Asuga XLR maintains a balanced platform that's neither too light nor too heavy, providing predictable weight transfer during cornering and jumps. The vehicle accepts 3S, 4S, or 6S LiPo batteries within the 161 x 51 x 49mm battery compartment, giving you flexibility to choose your power level and runtime characteristics. With aluminium 6061-T6 construction throughout the chassis and suspension components, combined with hardened steel gears and precision CNC machining, this brushless RC buggy is built to withstand years of serious use whilst maintaining consistent performance and handling characteristics.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Asuga XLR 6S RTR suitable for beginners or intermediate RC enthusiasts? — Team Corally rates this model as Skill Level Intermediate and recommends it for ages 14+. Whilst the ready to run configuration means there's no assembly required, the power and speed of a 6S brushless buggy demands respect and some driving experience. Beginners should start with the vehicle on lower speed settings and in open spaces until they develop control. The comprehensive digital radio system with adjustable dual rate steering makes it accessible to developing drivers, but this is absolutely not a beginner's first RC car — it's better suited to someone with prior RC experience.
  • What battery does the Asuga XLR 6S RTR require, and how long does it run for? — This ready to run RC buggy is compatible with 3S, 4S, or 6S LiPo batteries, with the battery compartment measuring 161 x 51 x 49mm. For full performance, a 6S (22.2V) LiPo pack is recommended, though smaller capacity batteries like 3S or 4S will still power the vehicle — they'll simply reduce top speed and acceleration. Runtime depends entirely on your battery capacity and driving style; a typical 5000mAh 6S battery will provide 15-20 minutes of mixed driving before needing recharge. No battery or charger is included, so these must be purchased separately.
  • How fast does the Asuga XLR 6S reach, and how does it compare to other 1/8 scale buggies? — Team Corally specifies a top speed of 100 km/h (approximately 62 mph) with the Kuron 825 2050KV motor and 6S power. This places it at the top of the 1/8 scale brushless RC buggy performance envelope. The 15% larger scale and optimised aerodynamics give the Asuga XLR a genuine speed advantage over traditional 1/8 buggies, though actual top speed will vary based on driving surface, battery condition, and setup tuning.
  • What makes the Asuga XLR different from other 1/8 scale brushless RC buggies? — The Asuga XLR stands apart through its XL 6S scaling (15% larger than traditional 1/8), completely new chassis platform, and exceptional engineering throughout. The 70% parts compatibility with existing Team Corally 1/8 models means you can upgrade and modify it extensively. The combination of massive 16mm oil-filled shocks, 8mm aluminium suspension pin holders, CNC-machined components throughout, and a sophisticated central hybrid bracing system creates a platform that simply outperforms competitors in terms of durability, handling precision, and overall capability.
  • Is the Asuga XLR 6S waterproof, and can it be used in wet conditions? — Whilst the Torox 185 ESC is described as waterproof, the vehicle itself isn't fully sealed. The radio receiver and servo aren't waterproofed, so you should avoid full water submersion or heavy rain. Light moisture and damp grass are acceptable, but you should thoroughly dry the vehicle after wet driving to prevent corrosion, particularly on the steel components.
  • What tools and maintenance does the Asuga XLR 6S require? — As an advanced brushless RC buggy, this model will benefit from regular maintenance. You'll need basic RC tools including hex keys (for suspension adjustment), pliers, and screwdrivers. The oil-filled shocks may require periodic servicing, and the bearings should be cleaned regularly if you're driving in dusty conditions. Regular inspection of the drive shafts, differentials, and suspension joints will keep the vehicle running smoothly.
  • Can I use this ready to run buggy on roads, or is it strictly off-road? — This is an off-road buggy designed for loose terrain, grass, dirt tracks, and park bashing. Whilst technically it could be used on paved surfaces, the Sprint RXA tyres are optimised for off-road grip and won't perform well on asphalt. Road use will cause rapid tyre wear and may damage the suspension components due to the harsh impacts. This is genuinely an off-road specialist.
  • What is the warranty coverage on the Asuga XLR 6S RTR? — Specific warranty details aren't provided in the source materials, but Team Corally products typically carry a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Contact your retailer or Team Corally directly for precise warranty terms and conditions.
