Overview
The Team Associated FT RC10B7 Rear Hub Set HRC in blue aluminium (AS92473) represents a significant upgrade for RC enthusiasts running the RC10B7 or RC10B7D platforms. These Factory Team rear hubs are engineered to provide superior durability and performance compared to the standard moulded alternatives, making them an essential component for serious RC car UK competitors and dedicated hobbyists. Whether you're upgrading an existing RC10B7 or building a high-performance 1/10 scale buggy, these precision-machined aluminium hubs deliver the reliability and tuning flexibility that Factory Team products are renowned for.
Designed with competition in mind, the HRC (High Roll Centre) geometry opens up new setup possibilities for drivers running on high-grip surfaces. The innovative design allows for higher axle heights, which proves particularly effective when using smaller diameter tyres and lower ride heights—a combination favoured by many track racers in the UK RC racing community. These hubs add unsprung weight that can be precisely tuned to dial in your vehicle's handling characteristics, giving you granular control over your RC buggy's performance on technical courses.
The anodised blue finish with machined chamfers and laser-etched FT logo makes these hubs not only functional but visually striking. Combined with their robust aluminium construction, they represent a Factory Team upgrade that will transform the rear end of your RC10B7 or RC10B7D while providing the durability needed for consistent, competitive performance throughout the racing season.
Key Features
- Factory Team Aluminium Construction — These rear hubs are manufactured from precision-machined aluminium rather than moulded plastic, providing significantly greater durability and longevity whilst maintaining tight tolerances essential for competitive RC racing and regular bashing alike.
- HRC (High Roll Centre) Geometry — The specially designed High Roll Centre configuration allows for higher axle heights, which is particularly advantageous when running on high-grip track surfaces with smaller diameter tyres and lower ride heights, giving you superior handling on technical courses.
- Unsprung Weight Tuning Option — By adding unsprung weight to your rear end, these hubs function as a tuning component that allows you to adjust handling characteristics and find the perfect balance for your driving style and track conditions.
- Secondary Bearing Bore for FT Universals — These hubs include a purposefully designed secondary bearing bore that provides compatibility with the upcoming Factory Team Universal drive shafts, future-proofing your RC10B7 investment and enabling advanced drivetrain upgrades.
- Anodised Blue Finish with Premium Details — The hubs feature a professional anodised blue colour scheme complemented by secondary machined chamfers and a laser-etched Factory Team (FT) logo, providing both aesthetic appeal and confirmation of authentic Factory Team engineering.
- Direct Compatibility with RC10B7 Platform — These rear hubs are engineered specifically for the Team Associated RC10B7 and RC10B7D models, ensuring perfect fitment and integration with your existing suspension and drivetrain components.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated FT RC10B7 Rear Hub Set HRC represents the pinnacle of Factory Team engineering for 1/10 scale 2WD buggy platforms. Machined from premium aluminium alloy and finished with a hard anodised blue coating, these hubs deliver superior strength-to-weight characteristics compared to injection-moulded plastic alternatives. The precision engineering ensures concentricity and fitment tolerances that competitive racers demand, whilst the HRC geometry is specifically optimised for high-grip track conditions where traditional hub designs can lead to excessive roll and compromised cornering performance. The addition of the secondary bearing bore reflects Team Associated's commitment to forward compatibility, allowing drivers to future-proof their RC10B7 investment by adopting FT Universal drive shafts as these components become available. The unsprung weight contribution of aluminium hubs versus moulded units provides a measurable tuning benefit that experienced RC car UK drivers can leverage to refine their vehicle's handling balance, particularly on low-traction surfaces where unsprung weight management becomes critical. Every detail—from the chamfered edges that reduce stress concentrations to the laser-etched FT logo that guarantees authenticity—reflects the professional-grade quality that separates Factory Team components from standard equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these rear hubs compatible with my RC10B7? — Yes, these hubs are engineered specifically for the Team Associated RC10B7 and RC10B7D 1/10 scale buggy platforms. They will bolt directly into your rear axle assembly as a direct replacement for the standard moulded hubs.
- What is HRC geometry and why does it matter? — HRC stands for High Roll Centre, a geometry design that allows for higher axle heights compared to standard hubs. This is particularly beneficial when running on high-grip track surfaces with smaller diameter tyres and lower ride heights, as it helps maintain optimal suspension geometry and cornering performance on technical courses.
- Will these hubs improve my RC10B7's performance? — These hubs provide multiple performance benefits including greater durability than moulded alternatives, the ability to tune handling through unsprung weight adjustment, and optimised geometry for high-grip track conditions. They represent a Factory Team upgrade that serious RC racers in the UK use to gain competitive advantages.
- What is the secondary bearing bore for? — The secondary bearing bore is designed for compatibility with upcoming Factory Team Universal drive shafts. This forward-compatibility feature future-proofs your RC10B7 investment and allows you to adopt advanced drivetrain upgrades when they become available.
- Why choose aluminium hubs over plastic moulded hubs? — Aluminium hubs offer superior durability, tighter manufacturing tolerances, and provide unsprung weight that can be used as a tuning parameter. Precision-machined aluminium maintains its shape and rigidity better than moulded plastic, which is essential for consistent performance in competitive RC racing.
- Will these hubs work with my standard RC10B7 suspension? — Yes, these rear hubs are designed as a direct upgrade for the RC10B7 and RC10B7D platforms and will integrate seamlessly with your existing suspension components, bearings, and axle shafts.
