Available now at RC Model Shop, they're in stock and ready to ship, so you can get your vehicle dialled in quickly and get back to enjoying the sport you love.
Key Features
- 2.5 lb/in Spring Rate — This softer spring rate is designed to provide increased suspension compliance, allowing your RC vehicle to absorb track imperfections more effectively and maintain better traction across varied surfaces. A lower spring rate helps balance grip with stability, making it particularly useful when you need more rear-end compliance.
- L61 Length Specification — The L61 designation indicates the precise length of the spring, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility with 13mm shock towers on compatible vehicles. Using the correct length specification prevents binding and ensures consistent shock performance throughout the suspension travel.
- 13mm Shock Hardware Compatibility — These springs are engineered specifically for use with 13mm diameter shock absorbers, making them a direct replacement option for maintaining OEM fitment and performance characteristics on compatible RC cars.
- Orange Colour Coding — The vibrant orange colour serves as an instant visual identifier of the spring rate, allowing you to quickly locate the correct springs during pit-side setup changes and avoid mixing different rates by accident. This colour-coding system is standard across the RC hobby and makes organisation effortless.
- Precision Engineering — Team Associated springs are manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring that each spring delivers consistent rate and performance. This repeatability is crucial when fine-tuning suspension setups, as you can confidently compare results between different spring choices knowing the springs themselves are not variables in the equation.
- Easy Setup Modifications — By incorporating these springs into your suspension setup, you can make incremental, predictable changes to how your RC vehicle handles. This enables you to target specific improvements to cornering stability, acceleration traction, or overall grip balance depending on your driving style and track conditions.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated 13mm Rear Shock Springs represent precision suspension tuning at its finest. With a spring rate of 2.5 lb/in, these springs provide a softer setup compared to stiffer options, making them ideal for track conditions where additional compliance and shock absorption are beneficial. The L61 length designation has been carefully engineered to work in harmony with 13mm shock hardware, ensuring optimal shock travel and preventing binding or fouling. The 9.0t and 1.2d specifications refer to the spring's physical construction parameters, contributing to the consistent performance and longevity you can expect from genuine Team Associated parts. Built to the highest manufacturing standards, these springs will deliver reliable, repeatable performance across multiple race days and practice sessions. The orange colour coding ensures easy identification and helps prevent setup errors when switching between different spring rates during your RC hobby activities.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What vehicles are these Team Associated 13mm rear shock springs compatible with? — These springs are confirmed compatible with the RC10B84. If you own a different model, we recommend contacting our team at RC Model Shop on 01543 577278 to confirm compatibility before purchasing, as fitment depends on your vehicle using 13mm shock hardware.
- What does the 2.5 lb/in spring rate mean and is it suitable for my track? — The 2.5 lb/in rating indicates a relatively soft spring rate. This specification means the springs will compress more easily under load, providing greater suspension compliance and grip on tracks requiring softer setups. Softer springs are generally better for rough or choppy track surfaces where you need maximum traction, whilst stiffer springs suit smoother tracks where you want more support and precision.
- Why is the colour coding important? — The orange colour serves as a visual identifier of the spring rate, allowing you to instantly recognise which springs you're using during pit-side setup changes. This colour-coding system prevents accidental mix-ups between different spring rates and makes organisation of your spare parts much easier during race meetings and practice days.
- How often should I replace my RC shock springs? — Spring replacement depends on usage frequency and track conditions. Springs gradually lose their rate over time through repeated compression cycles. If you notice handling becoming inconsistent or your setup becoming less responsive, it's time to replace your springs. Keeping spare springs on hand is a smart move for any serious RC enthusiast.
- Can I use these springs on other vehicles besides the RC10B84? — These springs are specifically engineered for use with 13mm shock hardware. Whilst they may physically fit on other vehicles with compatible shock towers, we recommend checking your vehicle's manual or contacting our knowledgeable team to ensure proper fitment and performance before installation.
- What's the difference between spring rate options? — Spring rates are measured in lb/in, indicating how much force is required to compress the spring by one inch. A lower rating (like this 2.5 lb/in option) provides softer, more compliant suspension suitable for grip-focused setups, whilst higher ratings offer stiffer support better suited to fast, smooth tracks and precision-oriented driving styles.
