Overview

The Team Associated B6.2 Rear Suspension Arms (73mm) AS91853 are genuine OEM replacement parts designed specifically for the Team Associated B6.2 platform, one of the most respected and competitive 1/10 scale 2WD buggy chassis available to RC enthusiasts in the UK. These rear suspension arms are essential components for maintaining optimal handling, performance and durability during racing, practice sessions and weekend bashing. Whether you're a competitive racer looking to maintain your B6.2 in peak condition, or an RC car UK enthusiast building a spare parts inventory, these factory-specification arms deliver the reliability and precision engineering Associated is renowned for.

Suspension arms are critical to how your RC buggy performs on track. They connect the wheel hub carriers to the main chassis, translating your steering inputs and suspension geometry into precise handling characteristics. The 73mm length specification is meticulously engineered to work within the B6.2's suspension design, maintaining correct ride height, anti-squat geometry and shock mounting angles for predictable, responsive handling. As a consumable wear part, suspension arms benefit from periodic replacement, especially in competitive racing where every thousandth of a second counts and chassis geometry must remain perfectly tuned.

These are not generic parts or aftermarket approximations—they are the official Team Associated rear suspension arms with part number AS91853, manufactured to the exact tolerances specified by Associated Electrics. When you choose genuine OEM parts for your RC car, you're choosing reliability, compatibility and the confidence that comes from knowing your machine is built with components that match the designer's original specifications.

Key Features

  • Genuine Team Associated OEM Part — This is the authentic rear suspension arm manufactured by Team Associated Electrics, ensuring perfect fit and function with your B6.2 chassis. Using genuine parts protects your investment in your RC buggy and ensures the suspension geometry remains true to the designer's specifications.
  • 73mm Length — The 73mm measurement refers to the arm length, which is precisely engineered to maintain correct suspension geometry, ride height and shock mounting angles on the B6.2 platform. This exact specification is critical for consistent handling characteristics and performance.
  • Broad Platform Compatibility — While primarily designed for the B6.2 and B6.2D, these arms also fit the B6.3, B6.3D, B6.4 and B6.4D variants, giving you flexibility across the B6 platform. The manufacturer notes that B6.1 and B6.1D compatibility is also possible with the addition of 2mm shims (part number 31389), expanding your upgrade and repair options.
  • Direct Replacement Component — As OEM parts, these suspension arms serve as direct replacements for worn, damaged or broken originals, bringing your chassis back to factory specification without requiring additional modifications or adjustments.
  • Active Product Status — These parts remain in active production by Team Associated, meaning they're readily available, fully supported, and manufactured to current quality standards. This ensures consistency with your existing chassis components.
  • Complete Suspension Solution — The suspension arms work in conjunction with other B6.2 suspension components including shock absorbers, pivot balls, and the chassis frame to deliver the handling characteristics that make the B6.2 platform so competitive in UK racing clubs and events.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated B6.2 Rear Suspension Arms represent precision engineering at its finest, crafted from materials selected by Associated Electrics to provide the ideal balance of rigidity, strength and responsiveness. The 73mm specification is integral to the B6.2's renowned handling characteristics, maintaining proper suspension geometry that allows the chassis to respond predictably to track conditions, driver inputs and varying terrain. The rear suspension arms connect the wheel hub carriers to the main chassis frame, and their geometry directly influences anti-squat characteristics—a critical factor in maintaining traction during acceleration and braking. Quality construction in these components prevents binding, ensures smooth articulation, and maintains alignment tolerances that directly affect lap times and consistency. The arms are designed to work seamlessly with the B6.2's shock absorber mounting system, maintaining correct ride height and allowing the suspension to function through its full range of motion. Whether you're racing competitively in UK circuit racing, practicing at a local track, or enjoying recreational bashing, these suspension arms deliver the durability and precision performance that makes the B6.2 platform a perennial favourite among serious RC enthusiasts. Proper suspension geometry is non-negotiable in competitive racing, and genuine OEM arms ensure your chassis maintains its performance potential lap after lap, season after season.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will these B6.2 rear suspension arms fit my Associated buggy? — Yes, these 73mm rear suspension arms are designed for the Team Associated B6.2 and B6.2D. They also fit the B6.3, B6.3D, B6.4 and B6.4D models without modification. If you have a B6.1 or B6.1D, compatibility is possible with the addition of 2mm shims (part number 31389), as the arm is narrower at the inside hinge pin area on those earlier models.
  • What does the 73mm measurement refer to? — The 73mm refers to the length of the suspension arm, which is a critical dimension for maintaining proper suspension geometry, ride height and handling characteristics on your B6.2 chassis. This exact specification ensures the arm works correctly with the hub carrier and shock mounting system.
  • Why do I need replacement rear suspension arms for my B6.2? — Suspension arms are consumable components that experience constant stress and flexing during racing and driving. Over time, they can wear, develop stress cracks, or break completely, especially in competitive racing where chassis are pushed to their limits. Regular replacement maintains optimal handling geometry and prevents performance degradation or more serious chassis damage.
  • Are these genuine Team Associated parts? — Yes, these are genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts produced by Team Associated Electrics. The official part number is AS91853, with UPC 784695918535. Using genuine parts ensures perfect compatibility, correct geometry, and support from the manufacturer.
  • Will buying genuine suspension arms improve my lap times? — While these are direct replacement parts rather than performance upgrades, maintaining your chassis with genuine components ensures consistent handling geometry and prevents the subtle performance losses that occur with worn suspension components. In competitive racing where tenths of seconds matter, this consistency can make the difference between winning and second place.
  • Can I use aftermarket suspension arms instead? — While aftermarket alternatives may exist, genuine Team Associated suspension arms are engineered and tested specifically for the B6.2 platform. Using genuine parts guarantees correct geometry and full compatibility with your chassis, whereas aftermarket parts may have slightly different dimensions or material properties that could affect handling.
