Overview

The Team Associated RC10 Ballstuds 5.3mm Short Neck in Black (part number AS6765) are precision replacement components designed for RC enthusiasts maintaining or upgrading their RC10 models. These ballstuds provide a low-profile ball connection system that delivers the tidy, professional appearance expected from Team Associated's engineering. Whether you're a dedicated RC car UK hobbyist performing routine maintenance or upgrading your suspension linkage, these ballstuds offer the exact fitment and performance characteristics required for proper RC build assembly.

Ballstuds are critical suspension components that connect various linkages and control arms in modern RC car designs. The 5.3mm short neck profile is engineered to provide optimal clearance and geometry for the RC10 platform, ensuring that your suspension operates with precision and reliability. Available in a sleek black finish, these components match the contemporary aesthetic of modern RC builds whilst maintaining the functional excellence that Team Associated is recognised for throughout the RC hobby community.

If you're ordering parts for your RC model from a trusted UK RC retailer, you can be confident that Team Associated OEM components like these ballstuds represent the highest standard of quality and compatibility. They're an essential item for anyone running an RC10 '89 Stealth Car Masami Edition or other compatible Team Associated platforms.

Key Features

  • 5.3mm Ballstud Size — The 5.3mm diameter is precisely engineered to match the socket holes in RC10 suspension components, ensuring a secure and rattlefree connection that maintains consistent suspension geometry during aggressive driving or racing.
  • Short Neck Profile — The short neck design provides a low-profile connection point that reduces overall suspension stack height and improves clearance around the chassis, allowing for more compact suspension geometry and better weight distribution in your RC car build.
  • Black Finish — The durable black anodised or painted finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and a professional appearance that complements modern RC car designs whilst protecting against wear and oxidation.
  • Team Associated OEM Component — As genuine Team Associated spares, these ballstuds are manufactured to the exact specifications required for perfect fitment, performance and longevity in RC10 models and compatible platforms.
  • Replacement Parts — Ballstuds are wearing components that benefit from periodic replacement during maintenance cycles, ensuring your suspension linkage remains tight, responsive and free from play during competition or casual bashing.

Technical Performance

Team Associated ballstuds represent precision engineering at the component level, with careful attention to material selection and manufacturing tolerances. The 5.3mm short neck design is engineered from hardened steel or similar materials capable of withstanding the constant articulation and load cycling that occurs during RC car operation. The black finish provides enhanced durability against corrosion from moisture, dirt and aggressive cleaning. These ballstuds are designed to integrate seamlessly with the RC10 suspension architecture, maintaining the exact suspension geometry that Team Associated engineers specified for optimal handling, response and performance. Whether you're running your RC10 on tarmac, carpet or outdoor tracks, these components provide the reliability and precision necessary for consistent operation. The short neck profile is particularly valuable for tight suspension layouts where clearance is critical, allowing suspension arms and linkages to operate without interference whilst maintaining proper alignment angles.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are ballstuds and why do I need them for my RC car? — Ballstuds are small spherical connection points used in RC suspension systems to link various components such as control arms, tie rods and steering linkages. They allow articulation and movement whilst maintaining a secure connection. Over time, ballstuds can wear, develop play or become damaged, affecting your RC car's handling precision and suspension response. Replacing worn ballstuds is essential maintenance that restores tight, responsive handling characteristics.
  • Are these ballstuds compatible with my RC10 model? — The Team Associated AS6765 ballstuds are specifically engineered for RC10 models, with confirmed compatibility for the RC10 '89 Stealth Car Masami Edition. If you own a different RC10 variant or another Team Associated platform, we recommend verifying fitment before purchase. Contact our team for compatibility confirmation if you're unsure.
  • What is the difference between short neck and standard ballstuds? — Short neck ballstuds have a more compact profile between the spherical head and the threaded mounting end, providing reduced overall height. This design is beneficial for tight suspension geometries where clearance is limited or where a lower suspension stack height is desired. Standard length ballstuds have a longer neck section, suitable for different suspension designs. The RC10 requires the short neck version for proper fitment and geometry.
  • How often should I replace my ballstuds? — Ballstud replacement intervals depend on driving intensity, track conditions and maintenance practices. Casual hobbyists might replace them annually or as needed, whilst competitive racers may change them more frequently. Inspect ballstuds regularly for play, wear or damage, and replace them if you notice any looseness or reduced suspension response. Having spare ballstuds on hand is recommended for track days and competitions.
  • Can I use these ballstuds with other Team Associated models? — Whilst the AS6765 are specifically designed for the RC10, some other Team Associated models might use compatible 5.3mm short neck ballstuds. We recommend verifying your model's specifications before ordering. Our knowledgeable team can provide compatibility advice—contact us via WhatsApp or phone if you're uncertain.
