Key Features
- Period-Correct Design — This front shock tower is engineered to match the exact specifications of the original 1989 Stealth Car prototype, ensuring your restoration or build maintains authentic geometry and suspension characteristics that deliver the handling performance Masami Hirosaka relied on during his world championship victory.
- Precision Engineering — Manufactured to Team Associated's exacting standards, the front shock tower provides accurate damper mounting locations that allow proper suspension alignment, critical for achieving the responsive steering response and traction control that defined the Stealth Car's revolutionary design.
- Durable Construction — Built from high-quality materials that withstand the demands of competitive RC racing and frequent use, this component maintains its structural integrity through countless practice sessions and race events.
- Essential Suspension Component — The front shock tower works in concert with the Stealth Car's long-arm independent suspension with hard anodized coil-over shocks to smooth out bumps and deliver consistent performance across varied track conditions, from loose dirt to hard-packed surfaces.
- Compatibility with Stealth Suspension System — This tower integrates seamlessly with the Stealth Car's advanced suspension geometry, including the A-arm and ball joint design that permits adjustments to static camber, camber rise, caster, ride height and spring rate — all critical tuning parameters for competitive racing.
Technical Performance
The front shock tower is a structural component that forms the foundation of the RC10 '89 Stealth Car's front suspension system. Working in conjunction with the car's long-arm independent suspension and hard anodized coil-over shock absorbers, this tower provides the precise mounting points necessary for maintaining the optimised geometry that Masami Hirosaka's championship-winning setup required. The Stealth Car chassis was narrowed and milled from aluminium to reduce weight and improve agility, and the front suspension geometry was specifically modified for better steering response compared to the standard RC10. The shock tower's design directly influences how the suspension articulates, how the shocks compress and extend, and ultimately how the car responds to driver inputs and track feedback. As part of the complete A-arm and ball joint suspension system, this component enables full tuning capability for static camber, camber rise, caster, ride height and spring rate adjustments. The tower works alongside universal driveshafts, ball bearings, and the integrated motor and heat sink to create a suspension system that delivers the smooth efficiency and responsive handling that made the Stealth Car revolutionary. When replacing this component during maintenance or restoration, you're ensuring your RC10 '89 maintains the precise suspension geometry that set a new standard for competitive 2WD off-road buggy performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this front shock tower compatible with all RC10 models or only the 1989 Stealth Car? — This tower is specifically designed for the RC10 '89 Stealth Car Masami Edition and features the unique geometry modifications that characterised the original 1989 prototype. It may not be compatible with other RC10 variants, so verify compatibility with your specific model before ordering.
- What makes the 1989 Stealth Car's suspension design different from standard RC10 buggies? — The Stealth Car featured longer suspension arms and revised shock positioning to improve traction and stability compared to the standard RC10. The front end was modified with new geometry for better steering response. These suspension changes, including the front shock tower design, were radical innovations that set new benchmarks for competitive 2WD off-road buggy performance.
- Can I use this part for restoration if my original shock tower is damaged? — Yes, this is an ideal replacement part for restorations and maintenance. If your front shock tower is cracked, bent, or damaged, the AS6732 provides a genuine Team Associated component that restores your Stealth Car to original specifications and maintains the precise suspension geometry needed for proper handling and performance.
- What tools do I need to install this front shock tower? — You'll need standard RC tools for disassembly and installation. The tower connects to the chassis and shock absorber assembly, so you may need hex keys, screwdrivers, and possibly a suspension lift or work stand to access the mounting points properly.
- Is assembly or painting required for this part? — This is a pre-finished component ready for installation. No painting or special assembly is required — simply remove the damaged shock tower and install the replacement using your standard RC tools.
