Overview
The Team Associated RC10 CVA Set 3/16" Axle, 56mm (AS6382) is a premium drivetrain component designed specifically for the RC10 4WD Team Car, one of the most respected competition-grade RC vehicles in the UK and worldwide. This constant velocity axle assembly represents a critical upgrade and replacement part for serious RC enthusiasts who demand precision engineering and reliable performance from their RC cars. Whether you are maintaining your existing RC10 setup or restoring a classic competition platform, this CVA set delivers the exact specifications needed to keep your RC car performing at its best.
For RC hobbyists in the UK seeking replacement parts that meet OEM standards, the RC10 CVA Set is an essential component that ensures smooth, consistent power delivery to the wheels. CVA (Constant Velocity Axle) assemblies are engineered to provide uniform torque transfer across varying suspension angles, which is particularly important when running an RC buggy or competition-grade RC vehicle on challenging terrain. This particular set combines a 3/16-inch axle diameter with a 56mm length specification, offering the precise dimensions required for compatible RC10 4WD models. The product comes in a package quantity of 2, providing a complete set of axles for both sides of your RC car's drivetrain.
RC Model Shop stocks this Team Associated component as part of our comprehensive range of spares and upgrades for the RC10 platform. We understand that dedicated RC enthusiasts need reliable access to genuine Team Associated parts to keep their vehicles competitive and road-worthy. This CVA set represents the kind of precision engineering that Team Associated is renowned for, combining durability with the exacting tolerances demanded by serious RC racing and bashing activities.
Key Features
- Constant Velocity Axle (CVA) Design — The CVA assembly is engineered to maintain consistent power transmission throughout the full range of suspension articulation, which means your RC car delivers smooth acceleration whether you are jumping, cornering or running over broken terrain. This technology is what sets competition-grade RC vehicles apart from entry-level models and is essential for serious RC enthusiasts who want predictable, reliable performance.
- 3/16-inch Axle Specification — The 3/16-inch diameter is precisely engineered to match the RC10 4WD drivetrain geometry, ensuring proper fit, minimal play and maximum efficiency in power transfer. Using the correct axle size is critical for maintaining your RC car's handling characteristics and avoiding premature wear on drivetrain components.
- 56mm Length — This specific 56mm length is designed to accommodate the RC10 4WD suspension geometry and track width, providing the exact spacing needed between the differential housing and the wheel hubs. Correct axle length ensures proper suspension travel and prevents binding during extreme articulation.
- Package Quantity of 2 — You receive a complete matched pair of axles in this set, which is sufficient for one full replacement of your RC car's front and rear drivetrain, or allows for spares to keep on hand for competition or extensive bashing sessions.
- OEM Team Associated Component — This is a genuine Team Associated part manufactured to the same exacting standards as the original equipment, ensuring compatibility and reliability with your RC10 platform. Using genuine parts guarantees that your RC car maintains its intended performance characteristics and structural integrity.
- Suitable for Routine Servicing — Whether your axles have suffered damage during competition, developed wear from extended use, or you are performing preventative maintenance on your RC vehicle, this CVA set provides the exact replacement components needed to restore your RC car to factory specifications.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated RC10 CVA Set represents precision engineering at its finest, with meticulous attention paid to material quality, manufacturing tolerances and performance characteristics. Constant velocity axles are specifically designed to address one of the fundamental challenges in RC vehicle drivetrain engineering: maintaining consistent power delivery when the suspension compresses and extends through its full range of motion. The 3/16-inch diameter axle provides the ideal balance between strength and weight, offering sufficient structural rigidity to handle the power outputs of modern RC vehicles whilst remaining light enough not to compromise acceleration and energy efficiency. The 56mm length specification is engineered to match the RC10 4WD's wheelbase and suspension geometry precisely, ensuring that the axles maintain proper engagement with both the differential and the hub carriers across the full range of suspension travel. These axles are manufactured from high-quality steel or composite materials that have been proven through countless hours of competitive RC racing to withstand the torsional stresses, impact loads and fatigue cycling that occur during intense driving sessions. The CVA joint technology employed in this assembly features precision ball bearings and carefully engineered joint angles that minimise friction losses whilst maximising the uniform distribution of rotational force to the wheels. For RC enthusiasts running the RC10 4WD as a competition platform, these axles are essential for maintaining the vehicle's legendary handling characteristics and consistent lap times. Whether you are competing at the highest levels of RC racing or simply enjoying weekend bashing sessions with fellow RC fans across the UK, the quality and reliability of this Team Associated component will keep your RC car performing at its peak.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a CVA (Constant Velocity Axle) and why does my RC10 need one? — A constant velocity axle is a critical drivetrain component that transfers power from your RC car's differential to the wheels whilst maintaining consistent torque delivery as the suspension moves through its full range of articulation. When you are driving your RC10 over bumpy terrain or landing jumps, the suspension is constantly compressing and extending. A standard rigid axle would bind and twist under these conditions, but the CVA joint allows smooth power transfer at all suspension angles. This is why competition-grade RC vehicles like the RC10 4WD use CVA technology rather than simpler rigid axle designs. If your current axles are bent, cracked or worn, replacing them with a genuine Team Associated CVA set will restore your RC car's handling precision and acceleration smoothness.
- How do I know if my RC10 needs new axles? — Signs that your axles need replacement include visible bending or cracks, excessive play or movement in the drivetrain, clunking sounds when accelerating or decelerating, or if your RC car pulls to one side despite correct suspension geometry. If you have crashed your RC vehicle or landed a particularly hard jump, inspect your axles immediately. Often RC enthusiasts maintain spare axles specifically because replacement is quick and inexpensive compared to other drivetrain repairs, and having spares on hand means you can get back to racing or bashing within minutes rather than waiting for replacements to arrive.
- Will this CVA set fit my RC10 4WD? — Yes, these axles are specifically engineered for the RC10 4WD Team Car platform. The 3/16-inch diameter and 56mm length specifications are the correct OEM dimensions for this vehicle. Always verify your specific model variant against Team Associated's parts documentation or contact RC Model Shop if you are uncertain about fitment. Using incorrect axle sizes or lengths can result in poor handling, binding suspension and potential damage to your differential.
- Are these compatible with aftermarket RC10 parts and upgrades? — These genuine Team Associated CVA axles are compatible with the standard RC10 4WD platform and its established ecosystem of spares and upgrades. If you have fitted significant aftermarket modifications such as different suspension geometry or custom drivetrain components, it is advisable to verify compatibility with the manufacturers of those parts or seek advice from experienced RC10 tuners within the UK RC community.
- How often should I service or replace my RC10 axles? — The lifespan of your axles depends entirely on your driving style and intensity. Competitive RC racers who run their vehicles multiple times per week may need to replace axles every few months as routine preventative maintenance, whilst casual weekend bashers might go a full season or longer without replacement. Regular inspection is recommended, especially after particularly hard sessions or crashes. Many experienced RC enthusiasts keep spare axles on hand so they can swap worn components immediately rather than waiting for new parts to be delivered.
- What should I do if only one axle is damaged? — Whilst this set provides two axles, it is generally recommended to replace both axles as a pair even if only one is visibly damaged. This ensures balanced performance and prevents differential stress that could occur if one fresh axle is significantly different in wear or compliance compared to an older axle on the opposite side of the vehicle. Keeping the spare axle from this set as backup for future use is an excellent practice.
