The factory pre-set brushless mode means basic operation is straightforward out of the box. The comprehensive parameter adjustment system allows you to start with default settings and gradually explore customisation as your skills develop. The intuitive programming via SET button on the ESC itself makes basic adjustments accessible, whilst the optional LED and LCD Program Boxes provide more detailed control when you're ready. The IP67 waterproofing is particularly forgiving for beginners who may operate in varied terrain and weather conditions common across the UK.
  • What battery does the QUICRUN WP 10BL80 require? — This ESC accepts 2S, 3S, and 4S LiPo battery packs with a maximum voltage of 14.8V (4S). The XT60 connector is standard, though connector upgrades to EC3, TRX, Deans, EC5, Tamiya, XT-90, IC5, or IC3 are available if your existing batteries use different connectors. Most UK RC crawler builders use either 3S or 4S LiPo packs depending on desired power output and run time requirements.
  • Can I use this ESC with both brushless and brushed motors? — Absolutely. The WP 10BL80 is factory pre-set to brushless mode by default, but full brushed motor support is available. When connecting a brushed motor, you must connect the A and C motor wires and switch the ESC to Brushed Motor mode via programming. Operating in the wrong mode can damage the ESC, so careful attention to this setup step is essential. Once configured correctly, the ESC performs equally well with either motor type, giving you exceptional flexibility in motor choice.
