Technical Performance
The Vanquish VRD Stance RTR represents a significant engineering achievement in ready-to-run rock crawler design, combining premium components, precision engineering and intelligent chassis architecture to deliver legitimate competition-grade performance. The drivetrain architecture centres on the proven VFD transmission with its forward and low motor position, paired with F10 portal axles featuring full metal gear construction and matched 30/8T machined ring and pinion gears in the axles. This combination produces overall front axle ratios of 57.8:1 and rear ratios of 73.4:1, delivering the mechanical advantage necessary for obstacle climbing whilst maintaining usable speed for varied terrain. The 24% final overdrive provides exceptional torque characteristics across all conditions, with the transfer case featuring full ball bearing construction and sintered metal gears for maximum durability.
Suspension engineering prioritises both articulation and stability through Incision 90mm S8E shocks featuring 8mm bore aluminium threaded bodies, dual X-ring seals, locking preload collars and polished steel shafts. Multiple shock and body mounting locations enable precise ride height and breakover angle adjustment, whilst stainless steel suspension links with bent rear lower links maximise ground clearance when conquering steep obstacles. The servo-on-axle 4-link front suspension arrangement with stainless steel construction prioritises steering response and effectiveness, critical for technical rock crawling where precise directional control determines success on narrow trails.
The electrical system combines a VE-1 brushed ESC capable of handling 3S LiPo batteries (the source specifies 2-3S compatibility) with a VM-1 35T brushed motor specifically tuned for trail torque and terrain-conquering power. The VT-1 digital transmitter provides sophisticated control with 15 model memory slots, multi-channel rate and endpoint adjustment, and digital screen display for comprehensive tuning capability. The VS-1 metal gear servo produces 200 ounces-force of steering torque, ensuring responsive control through technical sections. Chassis weight sits at just 4.95 pounds (2.2 kg) without battery, achieved through intelligent use of aluminium frame rails, stainless steel suspension components, and strategic weight placement via brass tube inserts and alloy knuckle weights.
The VXT2 red compound tyres mounted on VTS Stance Dual Stage foams provide exceptional grip characteristics across rocky and loose terrain, whilst the licensed KMC KM237 Riot beadlock wheels deliver authentic styling and robust durability. The overall dimensions span 322mm (12.67 inches) wheelbase and 200mm (7.87 inches) width (hex-to-hex), creating a compact footprint ideal for navigating tight trail sections whilst maintaining the weight bias and centre of gravity management that Vanquish Products engineered for this platform. The pre-painted Progress Blue Lexan body combines competition-inspired aesthetics with short overhangs and pinched design for maximum tyre clearance, whilst stamped aluminium rock sliders provide flat surfaces for electronics mounting and undercarriage protection.
