Technical Performance
The RadioLink F110S represents a significant engineering achievement in micro racing drone design. Built around the proprietary CS360 flight controller, this platform delivers professional-grade performance through intelligent software rather than demanding complex hardware setup. The flight controller measures just 32.5x21.5mm and incorporates a gyroscope, accelerometer, and barometer working in concert via Kalman filtering algorithms to maintain stable, accurate flight even during aggressive manoeuvres. The drone features four 8520 coreless motors—a size specifically chosen for their combination of power, efficiency, and responsiveness in this weight class—driving 55mm propellers that generate impressive thrust whilst maintaining the compact footprint essential for tight indoor spaces. The R8FM receiver (15x13mm) is similarly miniaturised without sacrificing range, delivering a reliable 600-metre control distance in open air via the 2.4GHz frequency band, making it suitable for both indoor practice and outdoor racing applications.
The F110S airframe weighs just 39g without the camera and video transmission systems (170g total with all components including battery), achieving a power-to-weight ratio that delivers rapid acceleration and agile handling characteristic of racing-focused quadcopters. The carbon plate construction provides excellent stiffness and crash resistance without the weight penalty of aluminium or plastic alternatives, whilst the integrated 5.8GHz camera with 200mW VTx (video transmitter) provides genuine first-person view capability for immersive racing experience. Battery compatibility is straightforward: the drone uses a single-cell 3.7V 600mAh lithium-polymer battery, a standard size that charges via the included CM120 specialist charger, delivering 6-8 minutes of flight time per charge depending on flight style and environmental conditions. The operating temperature range depends on battery performance, typically 0-40°C, making the drone suitable for year-round use in the UK's temperate climate. The suggested compatible transmitters are RadioLink T8FB units or the AT9/AT10 series when paired with the optional RLKR121002 receiver, though the included R8FM receiver provides the straightforward plug-and-play experience perfect for beginners.
