The transmitter features a responsive backlit LCD display for clear menu navigation, professional-grade telemetry system for real-time flight data, and modern wireless protocols that ensure your aircraft stays under reliable control in challenging RF environments. This is the ideal radio for anyone in the UK looking for a serious, capable RC transmitter without the premium price tag of higher-channel systems.

Key Features

  • 8-Channel Radio System with T-FHSS and S-FHSS Protocols — The T6K-V3S supports both T-FHSS (Air) and S-FHSS (Air) frequency-hopping digital protocols, which means your aircraft maintains a secure, interference-free communication link with the receiver even in busy RF environments where other RC pilots are flying nearby. This dual-protocol flexibility gives you compatibility with a wide range of Futaba receivers and ensures reliability whether you're flying at your local RC club or at a competition.
  • 30-Model Memory with 8-Character Model Names — Store up to 30 different model configurations in the transmitter's memory, each with its own custom programming and mix settings. The 8-character model naming system lets you quickly identify which aircraft you're about to fly, essential when switching between a trainer, a glider, a helicopter and a multirotor within the same flying session.
  • Comprehensive Telemetry System with Voiced Alerts — The T6K-V3S displays receiver battery voltage directly on the LCD screen during flight, providing vital safety information at a glance. Optional telemetry sensors can feed additional real-time data including altitude, temperature, RPM, current draw and capacity, all of which can be heard as spoken announcements through the earphone jack when commercial earphones are plugged in. This voiced telemetry feature means you don't have to look down at the screen to monitor critical flight parameters.
  • S.BUS and S.BUS2 Servo Device Setting — Connect S.BUS or S.BUS2 compatible servos and sensors directly to the T6K transmitter for advanced configuration without needing external programming boxes. This streamlined workflow means setting up servo parameters, fail-safe positions and channel assignments happens right at the transmitter, saving time and reducing setup complexity.
  • Backlit LCD Display with Contrast Adjustment — The clear, backlit screen provides excellent visibility whether you're flying in bright sunlight or during overcast conditions. Contrast adjustment means you can optimise readability for your eyesight, ensuring menu navigation and model setup remain easy throughout the day.
  • Vibration Alert System — The transmitter can be configured to vibrate when selected warnings or telemetry alerts occur, providing tactile feedback without requiring you to look at the screen. This feature is especially valuable during active flying when your focus needs to remain on the aircraft.
  • Dedicated R3008SB 8-Channel S.BUS Receiver Included — The matched receiver provides eight channels of control using the modern S.BUS protocol, requiring only a single signal wire to the flight controller or receiver module. This streamlined integration minimises wiring complexity in tight aircraft airframes and reduces total system weight.
  • Intuitive Programming with Aircraft-Specific Configurations — The T6K-V3S features five different fixed-wing aircraft types, two tail types for V-tail and twin-tail configurations, and six helicopter swash plate types. Each aircraft type includes pre-programmed mixing templates that dramatically simplify setup—rather than building mixes from scratch, you select your aircraft type and the transmitter handles the fundamental structure.
  • Twin Timers and Stick Alarm for Flight Management — Dual independent timers help you manage flight duration and practice sessions. The stick alarm alerts you when the throttle stick moves from idle, preventing accidental motor starts and improving flight safety.
  • Full Programmable and Pre-Programmed Mixer Library — Access unlimited custom programmable mixers for advanced aircraft configurations, plus comprehensive pre-programmed mixes including elevon, V-tail, aileron differential, air brake, motor switch, butterfly, camber and elevator-to-camber functions. For helicopters, advanced mixing options include swash mixing, governor gain, pitch curves, throttle curves, revolution mixing, throttle hold and hover control features.
  • Exponential Control and Dual Rate (AFR) Functions — Fine-tune control response curves to match your flying style and aircraft characteristics. Dual rate (Adjustable Function Rate) allows instant switching between two different control sensitivities—perfect for smooth thermal soaring or aggressive sport flying without changing aircraft configuration.
  • Fail-Safe Programming for Every Channel — Set custom fail-safe positions for all eight channels, ensuring your aircraft enters a safe configuration if radio link is lost. This critical safety feature provides peace of mind, particularly when flying over obstacles or away from your position.
  • Trainer System with Buddy-Box Capability — The T6K-V3S includes a trainer function allowing experienced pilots to teach newcomers by transferring transmitter control via a trainer cable. This feature makes the system ideal for RC clubs and flight schools in the UK where structured training is essential.
  • Software Updatable via USB Interface — Keep your transmitter current with the latest features and improvements by connecting the optional CIU-3 USB interface. This forward-compatibility ensures your investment remains modern as Futaba releases new capabilities and refinements.
  • Powered by Standard AA Batteries — The T6K-V3S runs on four AA cells, accepting dry alkaline batteries or rechargeable NiMH and LiFe packs. This flexibility means you can fly immediately with batteries from any convenience store, or use reliable rechargeable packs for long-term flying sessions.
  • Built-In Antenna for Immediate Usability — No external antenna attachment required—the integrated antenna provides reliable communication out of the box, making the transmitter immediately flight-ready without additional setup steps.

Technical Performance

The T6K-V3S represents a thoughtful engineering approach to balancing capability and usability. Operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, the transmitter provides secure digital communication using either T-FHSS (Air) or S-FHSS (Air) protocols depending on your receiver selection—both formats use frequency-hopping technology to maintain link integrity even in environments with RF interference from other RC systems. The radio protocol specifications come directly from Futaba, the world's leading manufacturer of RC control systems since 1948, ensuring you're working with professionally-engineered wireless communication that's been battle-tested in professional applications, competition environments and demanding hobby scenarios across the globe.

Build quality emphasises practical durability rather than unnecessary weight or cost. The transmitter features a rubberised grip that feels secure in your hands during extended flying sessions, whilst the overall weight distribution creates natural hand positioning that reduces fatigue during full-day flying at UK RC clubs and airfields. The backlit LCD display uses quality components designed for consistent visibility across a wide range of lighting conditions, from bright sunshine to overcast UK weather. The physical button layout follows Futaba's proven ergonomic standards, meaning experienced Futaba pilots will immediately recognise the control layout, whilst newcomers will find the button arrangement intuitive and well-organised. The all-plastic construction keeps weight minimal without sacrificing rigidity—the transmitter case maintains its shape and button response even after years of regular use.

Power management is straightforward and practical: four AA batteries provide the energy source, with voltage continuously displayed on the LCD during operation. This real-time battery monitoring means you always know remaining power before the transmitter unexpectedly shuts down mid-flight. The receiver included in this package—the R3008SB—is a modern S.BUS protocol device that communicates back to the transmitter via a single signal line, dramatically reducing wiring complexity compared to traditional parallel servo systems. This receiver-transmitter pairing has been engineered as a matched set, ensuring optimal RF performance and eliminating compatibility guesswork. The radio link stability has been recognised across the UK RC community as reliable and responsive, with the T6FHSS protocol providing the robustness required for serious flying rather than casual park flying.
